MSDP is a charity with a long history, with roots traced back to 1864, making them one of the oldest d/Deaf charities in the country. Communities are central to MSDP’s services and as a result, the charity are an important part of the d/Deaf and hard of hearing community in Merseyside. MSDP are devoted to helping Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing people achieve a full, active and influencing role in mainstream society.

The Head of Services is a senior role that plays a vital part in shaping and delivering MSDP’s mission. You will help lead the day-to-day delivery of services, ensuring they are effective, inclusive, and high-quality. Working alongside Service Managers, you’ll coordinate projects and contracts to meet the needs of the people and communities MSDP serves. You’ll help ensure services are delivered with integrity, impact, and compassion.

Key responsibilities

• Operational Leadership and Service Delivery: Oversee the effective day-to-day running of services, ensuring compliance, quality outcomes, confidentiality, and accurate record-keeping.
• People and Performance Management: Supervise and support Service Managers and teams, set performance standards, promote staff development, and ensure safe and effective recruitment practices.
• Project, Contract and Financial Oversight: Lead project delivery and contract management, monitor risks, support tender submissions, and manage budgets and resources in line with strategic and contractual priorities.
• Data, Reporting and Strategic Insight: Analyse and present key performance data to support service improvement and inform decision-making and prepare high-quality reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Legal, Risk and Safeguarding Compliance: Ensure robust safeguarding practices, manage operational risks, and uphold legal, regulatory, and confidentiality requirements across all service areas.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing operational services in health, social care or charity sectors, with strong project management and delivery experience. You will also have a strong track record in staff supervision and team leadership with excellent leadership and team motivation skills. You will understand safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection (DPA, GDPR) with knowledge of service performance frameworks and contract compliance. A strong communicator, you will be able to create reports and presentations and be able to analyse data and derive insights. You will have budget and resource management skills with strong planning, organisational and risk management experience. You will be able to work independently and manage time effectively with a flexible, adaptable and problem-solving attitude. You will be committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion and to the values and mission of the organisation. A willingness to learn British Sign Language (BSL), if not already proficient, is essential.

You may have experience working with or in Deaf or disability services and familiarity with Deaf culture and BSL. The ideal candidate would have experience in tender writing and funding applications, experience of contract management and reporting to commissioners and funders, and knowledge of adult social care commissioning, but these are desirable criteria. A willingness to learn British Sign Language (BSL) if not already proficient is essential.

Being part of the MSDP team is hugely rewarding, and what makes MSDP different is their culture and specialisms. Most of the staff team are Deaf and they have frontline staff who are able to communicate in British Sign Language and Deaf-Blind Manual/Hands on. New staff will benefit from learning about deafness, the inequalities that exist in access to mainstream services and the impact of those barriers on our beneficiaries. Meetings are fully accessible so we welcome people from across the d/Deaf and hearing communities to apply. The Opportunity
We’re looking for a friendly and reliable freelance bookkeeper or accountant to join our extended team and help keep our finances running smoothly. You’ll play a key behind-the-scenes role, supporting our nursery’s sustainability and ensuring we can continue delivering quality care for local families.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with purpose-led organisations, and who values flexibility, community impact, and clear communication.

Your Key Responsibilities

● Run monthly payroll (ideally in-person with our Nursery Administrator), and issue payslips to staff

● Prepare monthly management accounts in a clear, accessible format for trustees and management

● Produce statutory annual accounts for submission to Companies House and the Charity Commission

● Provide ad-hoc support and advice on bookkeeping, accounting, and financial queries as well as forecasting

● Assist in creating cash flow forecasts or budgets

● Act as a secondary bank signatory

What We’re Looking For

● Proven experience in bookkeeping or accountancy, ideally with small charities or community organisations

● Confidence with payroll processes and charity finance

● A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset – someone we can turn to with financial questions

● Familiarity with accounting software and simple reporting formats

● Bonus if you have experience working with voluntary boards or in the non-profit sector

The Role

You must be capable of managing a demanding workload and balancing multiple demands efficiently.

Experience in effective partnership working and delivering innovation and change is essential. Strong communication skills are required, including the ability to prepare contract bids, deliver presentations, and develop publicity materials

You will need:

The role

The Executive Assistant to CEO & Governance Lead will provide support to the Chief Executive Officer to fulfil her responsibilities and enhance her effectiveness. This will also include working closely with the Board of Trustees and the Senior Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities

• Executive Support & Diary Management: Manage the CEO's diary, prepare for meetings, maintain action logs, and provide proactive support in work planning.
• Governance & Administration: Organise and service Board, Committee, and staff meetings, including agendas, minute-taking, follow-ups on actions, ensuring compliance with governing documents and charity law. The role will line manage a Senior Administrator and facilitate trustee recruitment, induction and development.
• Safeguarding and Data Protection: Ensure data protection and safeguarding legislation are adhered to, embedding law in policies/procedures (training provided).
• Operations & HR Management: Oversee office operations, supplier contracts, data protection compliance, HR functions, and staff development.
• Project & Budget Management: Supports and sometimes leads projects, manages a small budget, and ensures cost-effective procurement of services and equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Significant experience of administration, particularly servicing a Board and Committees
• Significant experience in providing support to a senior executive, preferably as an EA
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Prospectus are excited to be supporting our client in their search for a Direct Marketing Executive. The role is with an international non-profit global campaigning organisation. Their independence and global reach enable them to stand for positive change through action in order to defend nature and promote peace. They investigate and expose global environmental problems, confront those in positions of power and present alternative solutions.

This role is offered on a full-time, 6-month contract basis, paying a salary of £39,876 per annum. This is a hybrid role based in London.

The Direct Marketing Executive will be responsible for the development of their supporter upgrade strategy and will be the primary decision maker on the programme. They will collaborate with peers across fundraising, campaigns and mobilisation to the strategic direction of the programme and define objectives and performance indicators. 

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the principles of direct marketing and enthusiasm for fundraising. The ideal candidate will have experience of monitoring and reporting on direct or digital marketing campaign performance against KPIs, providing clear and concise reports and projections.

Job Purpose

 Our Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) is a volunteer-led project that encourages, facilitates and supports older people aged 50+ to keep active by volunteering in their community.  RSVP believes that by volunteering and using their life experience and skills, older people are less likely to be socially isolated and suffer from poor mental and physical health and wellbeing. Current RSVP activities in Forth Valley include volunteering programmes within NHS hospitals and primary schools, charitable knitting groups, walking groups, and a Handyperson Scheme.  Over 1500 older people have engaged over the last 25 years. 

 We are looking for a Development Worker who can work flexibly, is driven, and is passionate about supporting older people to take part in volunteering.  The right candidate would be someone with excellent communication, relationship building, and organisation skills as well as experience of recruiting, coordinating and managing volunteers.  It is important that the post holder can commit to our organisational values - being Compassionate, Empowering, Inclusive, Positive and Straightforward.

You will lead to attract, recruit and support new RSVP volunteers, targeting older people who already are, or are at risk of, social isolation and poor health.  You will work closely with a small team of Volunteer Organisers, supporting and empowering them to deliver and develop existing and new RSVP activities across Forth Valley.
