Job description

We are looking for someone based in Scotland or the North of England to join Tree of Hope on a home working basis.

When the NHS can't help children needing life-changing operations, therapies and equipment Tree of Hope step in to fundraise to get what those children need. Join our team as Family Support Officer helping families in Scotland and the North of England to fundraise for their sick and disabled children.

You would work remotely from your home in Scotland or the North of England, but still be part of our national Kent based team, making visits to families, suppliers and health colleagues in your geographic location. Travel expenses will be paid and ideally you would have access to a car or be in easy reach of public transport.

Your role will be to speak to families in this region as first point of contact, understanding what their sick and disabled children need that cannot be funded by the NHS. You will help set their campaigns up and manage their fundraising journey, offering support, advice and help along the way. You would help publicise their campaign, working with our PR support to get local and national media coverage and look for local, corporate support too.

Full training will be given on usage of our sytems and database, how we work and how we help families to fundraise. You will report to the Head of Families & Marketing and join a team that already has a part-time Families Officer and a full time Families & Marketing Officer.
