About the role

You’ll be the main contact for the national training team providing support directly to kinship carers, training facilitators and others relating to the access and delivery of training events and workshops. 

You’ll provide professional and effective administrative and technical support to training operations, including co-ordinating logistics, publishing event details, administrating the back-end data, supplier communication, financial administration and attending in person and online events to ensure smooth delivery.

Key responsibilities:

Training event coordination

• Provide administrative support, including supplier communication, coordinating logistics and delivery of all relevant general and financial administration tasks 

• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to coordinate and confirm event logistics for in-person and online events.

• Identify and secure appropriate organisations to exhibit as part of Roadshow marketplace events, providing in event hosting of these organisations. 

• Source and secure venues and catering that meet event requirements for all in-person training events.

• Provide administrative, practical and technical support at training events both online and in-person. 

• Act as central point for Zoom set-up, licenses and queries for team, kinship carers and external partners.

Systems and processes coordination 

• Monitor planned expenditure to ensure it is in line with event budgets. 

• Ensure invoicing and payments are accurate and processed to time. 

• Support the monitoring and reporting on training activity via our Salesforce database, including providing data reports as required. 

• Support the production, update, distribution and quality assurance of workshop materials and ensure all collateral is on brand, signed off as required. 

• Develop and maintain an asset register of all training materials and equipment, ensuring availability when and where it is needed.

• Act as website champion for the team, managing and uploading all training content (workshop and events) and ensuring online training information is kept up to date. 

• Provide support to the training team as required including to assist service improvements and supporting manualisation and documentation of all processes 

• Set up and implement effective tools and documentation to support all operational needs of the training service.

With over 35 years of experience enabling successful partnerships between businesses and communities, ELBA engages over 16,000 corporate employees in volunteer programmes annually that support employment, education and community initiatives. In 2024 the Community Works programme supported over 250 charities and social enterprises through engaging employee volunteers in practical and skills-based volunteering opportunities.

Purpose of the job

The Education Programme at ELBA seeks to raise aspirations of young people, develop their business awareness, and support their employability competencies. Our work involves supporting secondary schools, colleges and universities, predominately through events bringing volunteers together from our corporate partners with local students to support the development of their employability skills and to raise aspirations. Working closely with ELBA’s corporate partners, the team engage students in various opportunities supporting Gatsby Benchmarks 5 & 6.

The role

This role will involve managing relationships with secondary schools, colleges, universities and ELBA corporate partner companies, providing vital support to coordinate and run events of varying scales throughout the academic year. This also includes supporting Mentoring Works, a programme that has been running since 1996 and connects Year 10 and Sixth Form/college students to volunteer business mentors working in the City and Canary Wharf. Taking the relationship lead for a number of our education institutions and corporate partners, the successful candidate will manage these relationships and ensure successful outcomes.

Job Description

Relationship Management

• Develop and manage strong relationships with education partners, this can include recruiting students for Mentoring Works and planning a calendar of events with Career Departments.
• Manage event requests from both education and corporate partners
• Run cross school projects throughout the year with multiple schools taking part
• Support the account management process of corporate partners by attending meetings with the wider account management team
• As a success indicator, consistently secure and maintain high satisfaction ratings from education and corporate partners, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders and volunteers.

Delivery

• Deliver projects and activities for educational institutions in line with the priorities and opportunities identified.
• Create and develop materials and resources, share best practice and design new programmes in line with changing priorities.
• Lead on development and delivery of group activities to support the Mentoring Works programme and feedback sessions with students
• Work proactively with CSR departments and other contacts within ELBA corporate partners to promote and enable delivery of projects/activities.
• Promote safety and wellbeing of students at all times and to follow ELBA’s safeguarding policies and have full regard of the policies of the schools and colleges engaged in ELBA programmes
• As a success indicator, ensure the execution of project milestones by consistently meeting or exceeding delivery timelines and stakeholder requirements.

Communication, reporting and evaluation

• All ELBA employees are required to use Salesforce as a record of activity. Training will be provided. Update Salesforce with all activity in line with agreed timescales, share updates with partners on activity.
• Support the Comms team as required
• Implement agreed evaluation and impact measurement tools for each project/activity
• Regularly write case studies, newsletter stories to showcase the impact of the education programme
• As a success indicator, produce comprehensive annual impact reports for partner schools, colleges, and universities, translating activity data into actionable insights that demonstrate programme value and success.

General

• Represent and act as an ELBA ambassador at meetings, social events and functions when required
• Attend ELBA team meetings, collaborate with other ELBA colleagues on projects where appropriate and contribute to the development of ELBA as an organisation
• Adhere to relevant policies including equal opportunities and health and safety

To fulfil our exciting campaign ambitions, we are recruiting a Corporate Philanthropy Manager to help grow our philanthropic funding and to take our campaign to the next level. We are looking for someone with a strong new business record, who is confident in networking with some of the biggest and most influential businesses in the region. The role will have a set portfolio of relationships to steward and develop, whilst maintaining a watching brief to identify new opportunities for strategically valuable partnerships. Academics here are tackling some of the world’s most pressing global challenges such as the impact of climate change on our woodlands and forests, issues caused by migration and displacement, the rise in youth mental health issues, and the prevention of needless maternal deaths in the developing world. This role is a great opportunity to further develop your skills and will play a vital role in delivering projects to change lives locally, nationally and internationally. A key member of the Development and Alumni Relations Office’s (DARO) Charitable Partnerships team, you will identify, create and manage corporate philanthropic partnerships with local, national and global businesses. You will have an enthusiasm for building relationships, the skill to interact with high-level corporate professionals and academics, experience of delivering against KPIs, KPTs and against financial targets, along with the ability to translate complex information into a compelling case for support.

Main Duties

The Corporate Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for:

• Developing and strengthening relationships with key current corporate funders to the University to grow philanthropic income.
• Identifying and building relationships with new corporate funders to secure a minimum of six figure gifts.
• Managing a pipeline of short, medium and long-term funding applications and relationships to enable year-on-year corporate philanthropy income growth.
• Taking responsibility for a developed and expert knowledge of a number of key campaign programmes.
• Building close working relationships with academics, alongside other University colleagues, to find information needed to write clear and compelling proposals on existing and new areas of research, that aligns with the strategic priorities of corporate funders.
• Signposting academic colleagues to resources to help secure income from a variety of sources, including research councils, charitable grants etc.
• The ability to take calculated risks to create a step-change in our corporate philanthropy portfolio, recognising the importance of ‘high risk high reward’ in transformative fundraising.
• Build effective, co-ordinated, working relationships with the following external stakeholders:
  • Major local, national and global corporates
  • Relevant city, regional, national and international business networking and brokerage organisations
  • Agencies that promote corporate social responsibility and charitable giving
  • SMEs of high growth potential operating in sectors of agreed strategic significance
  • Responsibility for championing and advising upon corporate philanthropy with a range of internal and external audiences
  • Acting as an ambassador for the University who can use internal and external networks for personal and institutional benefit
• Managing the whole donor journey of a corporate funder, from identification to acknowledgement and stewardship.
• Meeting reporting objectives of funders and ensuring an excellent experience for funders.
• Efficiently use the Customer Relationship Management system to record and report on activity – feeding into campaign data, team reporting and management information for the senior leadership team.
• Be responsible for adhering to relevant fundraising regulation and current data legislation in the UK and in target markets whilst ensuring fundraising is ethical and that due diligence is undertaken as necessary.
• Understanding the breadth of the University and appreciating the differences of each College.
• Understanding the context of our work in relation to the wider operations of the University.

• Any other duties commensurate with the grade.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

• Educated to Degree level (or equivalent qualifications). Where no equivalent qualification is held, significant practical relevant experience and expertise in a similar role will be required.
• Evidence of writing motivational and persuasive reports or proposals – this could be demonstrated through performance in full time, part time or voluntary roles.
• The ability to understand and communicate complex expressions of academic vision to non-academic philanthropic supporters.
• Outstanding communication and to present confidently to audiences of all sizes.
• Understanding of and ability to represent the vision and mission of the University of Birmingham.
• Experience of working to a minimum of five figure gifts and exceeding targets.
• Ability to prioritise own workload under pressure and balance a range of competing deadlines.
• Passion for and knowledge of Higher Education, particularly research and the role of philanthropy.

About the role:

As a Project Worker at our Stacey Street service in Islington, you’ll support adults who have experienced homelessness or rough sleeping to rebuild stability and move towards independent living. This is a hands-on role in a busy hostel environment where no two days are the same.

You’ll work directly with residents who may be navigating challenges linked to mental health, substance use, trauma or contact with the criminal justice system. Through strengths-based support planning and clear risk management, you’ll help individuals identify goals, overcome barriers and take practical steps forward. From supporting someone to engage with treatment, to sustaining a tenancy or accessing training and employment, your work will focus on realistic, sustainable progress.

Day to day, you’ll build trusted relationships whilst maintaining professional boundaries. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate the right support at the right time, ensuring residents are prepared for successful move-on. You’ll keep accurate records, respond calmly in challenging situations and contribute to a psychologically informed environment where people feel respected and motivated to change.

This role is about creating momentum. By helping residents move from crisis towards stability, you’ll play a key part in freeing up hostel spaces for others in urgent need and strengthening SHP’s mission to end homelessness for good. If you’re resilient, person-centred and motivated by seeing people take meaningful steps forward, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact every day.

We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our award-winning Content and Creative team at Friends of the Earth.

You’ll be an experienced designer bursting with creative ideas and passionate about using your skills to tell compelling stories that inspire people to take action. You’ll have the ability to develop our visual brand, to lead on the production of bold, audience-centric concepts, and to work closely with videographers and copywriters to support the organisation’s ambitious campaigning, activism and fundraising goals.  

You will also line manage the Midweight Graphic Designer and oversee all graphic design output to ensure it is high quality, rooted in insight and delivered on time.

Key Skills and Attributes: 

You’ll have a strong portfolio that demonstrates high-quality, impactful design tailored to different audiences and objectives. You will be confident in developing innovative concepts that work across multiple digital and print channels, and in managing a variety of design projects.

You will also be experienced in commissioning freelancers and line-managing or providing mentorship to team members, as well as possessing top-notch stakeholder communication skills and the ability to interrogate a brief.

We’re currently looking for a Senior Workplace Officer, offered on a fixed term basis of 12 months to help us deliver our mission. The Role

What will I be doing?

You’ll be responsible for a range of activities, including:

• Act as ‘the conductor’ of our rented office and meeting room spaces working with both internal and external stakeholders to provide consistently positive, welcoming, and inclusive experience.
• Directly line managing the receptionist and the AV technician, as well as oversee temporary or permanently based contractors to meet the building resourcing needs.
• Budget management inclusive of actuate recharging, invoicing external companies, and spending monitoring.
• Oversee the delivery of the front of house service and standards of the IOP staff office through supplier relationship management, maintaining stock levels, and effective logistics tracking.
• Ensure compliance and health and safety regulations, safeguarding requirements, security, alcohol licence requirements and any other relevant IOP policies.

Projects you may work on include:

• Being part of the organisation committees for all IOP events working closely with the departments involved.
• Review of our building revenue and how we can maximise this without conflicting with IOP operations.
• Space management and storage both onsite and externally.

Who will I work with?

You’ll work closely with a range of colleagues and stakeholders, including:

• Membership, Conferences, Science & Business Insights, Compliance, and CEO office IOP teams.
• Members and external partners who rent meeting room space or use our member facilities.
• Our tenants and serviced office companies.

Ideally, we hope you’ll apply if you bring:

Essential:

• Significant experience with organising events including using room booking systems, catering provisions and AV operational knowledge.
• Experience of line management and supplier management. 
• Experience with budget management including invoices processing and raising.
• Experience of working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, ensuring expectation are met and communication is regular and clear.
• An IOSH Managing Safely certification or similar is essential.
• Be first aid and emergency marshal qualified is essential.

While there isn’t a set day for this, all cheques should be paid in within a week of receiving them. About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting an Employment Advisor to join our IPS service. You will be based in an NHS mental health treatment team in Edmonton, Enfield, working 35 hours per week. This IPS service at Working Well Trust has been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. What you’ll be doing

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  

You will spend up to 65% of your week working in the community of Enfield to provide localised support to residents of the Borough.

You will also be working to contract targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

Working in partnership with Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust and MhIST (Mental Health Support Team), the Bolton Listening Lounge is a collaborative approach to providing mental health and wellbeing support from late afternoon into the evening.  It provides a safe space for people who are experiencing mental distress or who feel that they are going through a personal crisis. Our service staff will offer low level calming interventions and one to one support to identify the cause of the emotional distress and to put in place a plan including signposting and referring on to other organisations and services.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of Mental Health conditions and their impact on daily living and a strong track-record of working with individuals and their families to deliver positive outcomes. You will provide leadership to a small team of Support, Time and Recovery workers and demonstrate a commitment to a one team approach. You will have demonstrable experience of supporting staff or volunteers in their role and aptitude for managing professional relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

1. To provide leadership, guidance, supervision and appraisal to a small team of STR workers and to work with the Service Manager and HR on any absence, conduct or performance issues as they arise.

2. To be committed to providing an integrated one team approach to people who use our service and to work as part of a team to provide support to people using the Listening Lounge

3. To support STR workers to develop good practice in service delivery, recording and risk management skills and to implement Quality Assurance activities to monitor practice.

4. To manage risk and safeguarding effectively, offering support and advice to staff and monitoring high risk cases, ensuring that escalation processes are appropriately and consistently applied, and updating the Service Manager and external agencies as required.

5. To support workers in delivering targeted work with individuals to plan their support and achieve the goals and outcomes that are important to them, and to work with the wider Listening Lounge team to support the development and implementation of an action plan to support the individual.

6. To actively promote the use of outcome tools and analyse relevant data to support the Service Manager in delivering on KPI’s as required. To produce outcomes focused reports which evidence achievement and to adhere to timeframes at all the times.

7. To be responsible for the Health and Safety of STR workers on a day-to-day basis, including ensuring local policies and procedures are adhered to.

8. To develop and maintain networks with other organisations and agencies in order to strengthen safe working practices for service users, in line with organisational and local policies and processes

9. To maintain accurate case records and up-to-date case files using the agreed case management and recording system (currently INFORM). To ensure information handling is compliant with GDPR law and FA policies and procedures.

10. To attend and when required to chair team meetings.

11.  To make a commitment to regular supervision, including the ability to be responsive to critical challenge, advice, feedback and direction.

12. To have an understanding and to comply with, Family Action’s procedures for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

13. To deputise for the Service Manager as and when required.
