The Role
We’re looking for a relational, driven and values-led Fundraising Officer to lead our corporate, community, and campaign fundraising. You’ll build partnerships, run fundraising initiatives, and steward donors to help us reach more young people across the UK.
This role will focus on:

You’ll work alongside our Partnerships & Engagement Officer (who leads on challenge events and volunteering) and be supported by our Operations Manager. We’re aiming for £50,000–£75,000 in Year 1 income.

Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Our Dose of Nature Prescription Programme is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Through a combination of education, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we aim to encourage a greater connection with nature and inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing. Key Responsibilities
Hospitality & Wellbeing Support:
- Greet all guests, acting as the first point of contact between the team and external stakeholders visiting 1 Wharf Cottage, namely our clients, volunteers and partners.
- Prepare and serve teas, coffees, and refreshments to clients, volunteers and visitors, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist the operations and psychology team with daily administrative tasks, including managing scheduling meetings and client assessments / reviews.
- Assist in the set-up and facilitation of nature-based mental health group activities, providing support to the group leaders and facilitators (where required).
- Support the team in ensuring a comfortable and supportive workspace.
Event Coordination:
- Assist in coordinating and executing group sessions, meetings, events and wellness workshops as required.Support logistics, venue setup, and participant coordination for monthly, quarterly and annual events.
- Provide on-the-ground assistance during events, activities and group sessions.
- Oversee the purchase of supplies, including food and drinks, for our monthly volunteer evening events.
- Provide evening and / or weekend support at our bi-annual social events for our client base, volunteers, and donors (dates are always arranged well in advance).
Operational & Administrative Support:
- Provide general support for the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a productive, efficient and well-functioning working environment. Assist the Operations team in scheduling and coordinating client assessment and review appointments, workshops, and mental health activities in nature.
- Act as a point of contact for staff and volunteers, addressing logistical and office needs.
- Manage office supplies, ensuring restocking and organisation.
- Liaise with vendors and maintenance services as needed.
- Provide other general administrative support to the psychology and operations team, including making online orders, liaising with printers, and preparing resources for training events.

About the Role
As Emotional and Mental Wellbeing (EMW) Practitioner, you will offer specialist interventions to staff and volunteers seeking emotional and mental health support and will provide advice to a team of volunteer Mental Health First Aiders. Specialist support provided will include a wide range of approaches, including assessment, information, applied psychosocial interventions, health promotion, and illness prevention services. Deputy Manager (Mental Health) - Recovery House
Location: Alum Rock, Birmingham

Recovery House is a new and innovative service we are launching that meets an important need for people experiencing poor mental health. The service will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing vital support to people in need of short-term crisis accommodation, of up to 7 nights. The service is a partnership with the NHS, who will have a staff presence at all times, and builds on the range of strong collaborations we have with the public sector.
We provide individualised, person-centred services that help people lead fulfilling lives and reach their full potential. Known for our high-quality support, we play a key role in Birmingham's mental health system and collaborate with local organisations to challenge the stigma surrounding mental distress.
About the role
Directly managing two Team Leaders, the Deputy Manager will work as part of a team in our regulated services and is an important role in the delivery of recovery based and prevention services within Birmingham. This post is central to the smooth running of the 24/7 Recovery House.
The Recovery House is commissioned by the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust and is part of their Urgent Care pathway. Working closely with Operations at Birmingham Mind, the role contributes to effective communication between operational staff and management.
You will support the Service Manager in providing continuous and safe delivery of support at the Recovery House and always ensuring high quality person-centred care. You will ensure that compliance and adherence to CQC standards is upheld by the Recovery Support Workers and Team Leaders and provide updates and reports both internally and externally.
You will provide direction, shared management, and support to the delivery team of 13, which includes 24/7 staffing and support; ensuring we deliver on the aims of crisis intervention and prevention.
The role requires a clear vision of how crisis alternatives can be achieved through highly effective services, and the ability to turn that vision into a reality. You will support the work of the NHS clinical team and liaise with them and ensure that the service can be accessed by service users when they need it and that the house is prepared and ready for new residents.
About you
You will need to be skilful in developing strong relationships with a range of people and be able to hold on to a vision for the future rooted firmly in values and the principles of recovery, whilst accepting that different professions have different skills and contributions to be made.
We are looking for someone who is experienced in delivering services in a CQC regulated residential or supported living environment and has previously managed a team with line management. You will have excellent working knowledge of relevant mental health and other legislation and have had dealings with Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of and a commitment to the “Recovery” model of mental health support and experienced in delivery services within values and framework. You will be able to manage and lead a team of people to perform to their best, with the ability to work closely with the Service Manager to ensure a high quality of service.
This role will involve working on a rota, including some evenings and weekends.

The Recovery House is commissioned by the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust and is part of their Urgent Care pathway. Working closely with the Recovery House Team, the role is pivotal to the effective and safe delivery of the service.
About the role
The role of Recovery Support Worker will work as part of a team in our regulated services and is an important role for the delivery of recovery-based and prevention services within Birmingham Mind. The role will be central to the smooth running of the 24/7 service provided by Recovery House.
You will support the Waking Night team of Recovery Support Workers in providing a continuous and safe delivery of support, always ensuring high quality and person-centred care. You will work in a person-centred way alongside colleagues an NHS clinical partners to de-escalate mental health crisis and help service users to return home and be pivotal in the provision of a welcoming, calm and safe environment.

You will take an active part in all appropriate meetings and create and implement service user assessments and support practices.
About you
You will need to be skilful in quickly developing strong relationships with users of the service and able to support the de-escalation of crisis and the provision of a calm and supportive environment; delivering person centred interventions.
We are looking for someone who experience in delivering services in a CQC regulated residential or supported living environment, who has experience of working in partnership with key stakeholders and partner organisations. You will be knowledgeable in and committed to the “Recovery Model "of mental health support and be experienced in delivering person centred care. You will be able to provide a caring and compassionate care to service users, with the ability to provide and maintain a high-quality environment at short notice.

The Community Connector will support people with serious mental illness (SMI) to achieve better health and wellbeing, increase independence and reduce reliance on services.
Key to this role is person-centred support and building trusted relationships. The Community Connector will connect people to a broad range of services and interventions in their local area, supporting and empowering people to access opportunities and take positive steps to improve their mental health recovery goals.
The Community Connector will support people through:
• One-to-one-person centred support focussing on what matters to the individual
• Addressing the social determinants of health, such as education, employability and social welfare advice.
• Opportunities to build social connections within their local communities, fostering engagement in fun and meaningful activities.
• Emotional support to build resilience and confidence.
• Guidance on navigating and accessing wider support services.
The Community Connector will be embedded in the Bromley by Bow Centre’s Social Prescribing service, utilising their experience and support. It will work with a wider team of voluntary sector, primary care and secondary care staff in the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (NMHT).
The role is funded by NHS East London Foundation Trust (ELFT) and managed by the Bromley by Bow Centre. There are a team of Community Connectors as part of a wider transformation programme in East London to redesign community mental health care for adults with serious mental illness in Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham.

Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide operational leadership and oversight of the Carers Manchester Volunteer Programme and support the wider development of the Volunteer Programme at Gaddum. The Volunteer Coordinator will work with Carers Manchester colleagues to ensure volunteers feel equipped and supported to use their skills and lived experience in a range of established volunteer roles.
They will also work with the team to develop and recruit volunteers for new roles that support Carers Manchester to deliver on its aims and objectives. The role will involve maintaining close working relationships with our Central Team, Health & Safety systems, and compliance responsibilities.

As a Peer Support Worker, you will use your skills and experience to work directly with people with mental health issues in group and one to one settings. You will work with the Wellbeing Assessors and Team Leads to provide Wellbeing support to patients within their particular Primary Care Network (PCN). About the role
Fareham and Gosport Wellbeing service is looking to recruit a Wellbeing Advisor PCN. You will be based in the PCN surgeries in the Fareham and Gosport Localities.
In this role, you will hold a caseload of patients offering assessments and one-to-one telephone or online sessions to help manage mental health wellbeing. You will attend meetings to enable patients to get the best service for them and may on occasion include group facilitation. You will support people to access groups and activities within our wellbeing centre and the community.
