We’re currently recruiting one part-time Charity Administrator. The post is office based and offers a great opportunity for a varied role in a forward-facing young people’s mental health charity. The job description in this pack provides a generic overview of the Administrator role. Administrators are based centrally with other support staff. Our Administrators are a vital and valued part of our team supporting and enabling the work of our mental health practitioners and the work of the Charity overall. Administrators report directly to the Service Administration Manager and will work collaboratively within a team of administrators covering different services as needs arise. 

Role Purpose: To be part of the administration team responsible for the administration of Off the Record’s services. The post holder will be the predominant point of contact for young people and professionals contacting the services and hence a sensitive and professional telephone manner will be of key importance. However, the post holder will NOT be acting as a mental health practitioner and will be expected to maintain clear boundaries between their role and that of the mental health practitioners.

Some staff are based in our borough-based services but increasingly staff are being given opportunities to work in across initiatives such as our First Contact Team.

The Role:

The Digital Content Officer will support the implementation of digital communications plans that will help NFCC to deliver on its vision of being a digital first service to support fire and rescue services and the communities they serve. This will include developing and enhancing NFCC’s digital presence across the corporate website, online engagement platforms, and wider online and social media channels. The postholder will work to support the Digital Communications Manager and wider Communications team in the implementation of our Digital Communications Strategy which seeks to establish NFCC platforms as the go-to place on information about our work and resources. They will work closely with the Content and Guidance, IT and Digital Transformation teams, and other departments, to help establish and maintain a standard of excellence across website content, social media, and elements of digital design. 

What you will be doing:

Website content 

• Upload content across NFCC’s website and NFCC Connect, ensuring it is well-structured and aligned with NFCC’s style, accessibility and quality standards 

• Be involved in the development of web templates to support a variety of NFCC products

• Work within bespoke Wordpress modules to implement agreed edits and upload content 

• Work with content owners to make best use of existing branding guidelines and templates for NFCC products.

• Work with internal content owners to prepare and publish digital content, ensuring consistent style and adherence to NFCC brand guidelines. 

• Ensure all NFCC content adheres to WCAG2.2 AA standards 

 Social Media

• Schedule, publish and monitor social media content across NFCC’s channels (currently X, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube), ensuring posts are timely, engaging and consistent with agreed communication plans. 

• Identify opportunities for promotion of NFCC products and fire and rescue service activities in a coordinated way across digital platforms

Digital Design & Asset Production

• Produce and edit basic digital assets (e.g., social graphics, web banners, visuals for newsletters), following NFCC brand and design templates. 

• Collaborate with colleagues to prepare materials for campaigns, webinars, and NFCC events. 

Additional Duties

• Provide wider communications support when required, including drafting short articles, internal updates, and member communications. 

• Participate in NFCC events, conferences, team away days and in-person meetings as required (travel costs covered). 

• Undertake other duties consistent with the role’s purpose, supporting the overall aims of the Communications and Public Affairs team. 

Who we are looking for:

• Demonstrable experience of Wordpress or similar content management systems (CMS) 

• Understanding and proven ability to use HTML to adapt web content where needed

• Experience of delivering projects in a communications environment. 

• A working knowledge of digital concepts and best practice including digital design, accessibility, user experience (UX) design and user interface (UI) design. 

• Experience in designing and delivering graphics, editing images, and basic web design.

Your background:

About the role:

We are looking for two experienced and versatile Clinical Nurse Specialists with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our Hospice at Home team.

You will work autonomously within defined protocols to facilitate and provide high quality specialist nursing care to our patients.  You will act as a specialist resource for other health and social care professionals on issues relating to specialist palliative care, responding to their identified requirements and initiating research and audit.

About you:

You will be motivated, a flexible thinker, and able to adapt to new ways of providing care to reach more patients within the community. You’ll have excellent communication skills and enjoy working alongside a multidisciplinary team to assess the needs of patients, families, and carers.

A relevant degree is required, and experience in palliative care or oncology is essential.

The Individual Major Gifts programme is a core part of this, driving income from high-value supporters including high-net-worth individuals and family foundations. We are now seeking a Head of Major Gifts (Individuals) to lead this important area. Reporting to the Deputy Fundraising Director, Key Relationships, you will jointly lead the major gifts function alongside the Head of Major Gifts (Trusts & Foundations), combining strategic leadership with hands-on fundraising. You will jointly lead a team of Major Gifts specialists while personally managing a portfolio of the organisation’s most significant donors, securing six- and seven-figure gifts. You will also lead Greenpeace UK’s contribution to a high-profile global capital campaign to raise €100 million, helping fund a pioneering fossil fuel–free ship and accelerate climate and biodiversity work.

As Head of Major Gifts (Individuals), you will:

• Develop and deliver the major gifts strategy, driving ambitious income growth aligned to UK and global priorities
• Lead Greenpeace UK’s contribution to the €100M Global Capital Campaign, translating global strategy into UK delivery
• Personally cultivate and secure transformational gifts from high-net-worth individuals
• Line manage the Major Gifts Manager and wider team alongside the Head of Trusts & Foundations, creating a high-performing, collaborative and values-led culture
• Oversee pipeline development, prospect research and donor stewardship to ensure sustainable growth
• Work across fundraising, campaigns and communications to develop compelling donor propositions
• Influence senior stakeholders, trustees and international colleagues to maximise major donor engagement
• Manage budgets, performance and reporting, ensuring delivery against ambitious financial targets
• Contribute to the leadership of the wider Key Relationships programme and organisational direction

Essential skills and experience:

• Significant experience in senior-level major gifts fundraising with a track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts from U/HNWIs.
• Experience of leading fundraising strategy and delivering sustained income growth.
• Demonstrated experience of leading, developing, and motivating teams, with a proven track record of achieving high performance.
• Experience of working with senior stakeholders, trustees, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Strong understanding of international or capital campaign fundraising, with direct experience a distinct advantage.
• Experience of managing budgets and meeting ambitious financial targets.
• Knowledge of, or experience working in, the environmental, climate, or biodiversity sectors is a distinct advantage to enable credible and insightful engagement with expert colleagues, partners and donors

If so, join St Giles Trust as our Children and Families Caseworker where, as part of our London Edge-of-Care
(L-EDGE) project, you will provide specialist support to children and young people who are experiencing complex disadvantage and are at risk of entering the care system.

About St Giles Trust

An ambitious, well-established charity that helps people facing adversity to find jobs, homes and the right support they need.  Central to our ethos is our belief that people with first-hand experience of successfully overcoming issues such as an offending background, homelessness, addictions and gang involvement, hold the key to positive change in others.

London Edge-of-Care (L-EDGE) is a 36-month project which aims to create positive outcomes for up 60 children and young people a year who are at risk and on the edge of being taken into local authority care. The project focuses on intervening before any formal care proceedings have taken place and provides a whole family approach.

About this key role

As a Children & Families Caseworker, you will deliver intensive, trauma-informed and whole-family support to children and young people at risk of entering care. This will involve carrying out comprehensive needs assessments, risk assessments and safety planning, and working alongside families to develop and review action plans that address practical, emotional and safeguarding needs.

This is a highly relational, outreach-based role, requiring regular travel across London Boroughs. You will work closely with Children’s Social Care and other statutory and voluntary sector services to deliver coordinated, effective support. You will also play a key role in identifying risk, including child criminal and sexual exploitation, and ensuring appropriate safeguarding responses are in place.

What we are looking for

• To have lived, personal experience of the Criminal Justice System and/or care system.
• Experience of working with socially excluded children, young people and adults and of providing advice and guidance and/or mentoring to them.
• Experience of successfully engaging with challenging families and young people, e.g. those who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs and people who are angry and confused.
• Understanding of the UK care system and the challenges faced by those who enter it.
• Knowledge of gangs, knife crime and patterns of offending in London.
•  Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and risk management practice
•  Understanding of child criminal exploitation (CCE) and child sexual exploitation (CSE)
• Strong IT skills, including case recording systems and standard Microsoft applications
