About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are expanding our team of IPS Employment Advisors in our IPS service in the London Borough of Newham. You will be based in one of NHS mental health treatment teams in the East Ham area.

IPS services at Working Well Trust have been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adhere to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment.

This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain and sustain paid employment. 

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

What you’ll be doing

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will be working to contract targets to maintain a high-quality service.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach thatalways remainsclient led.

You will be based at one of the following NHS mental health treatment teams:

• Community Recovery Team (North), Newham
• Community Integrated Mental Health Team (North), Newham

You will spend up to 65% of your week working in the community of Newham to provide localised support to residents of the Borough.

Support Workers are responsible for the customer's emotional, psychological wellbeing as well as providing support to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs. This will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

The working pattern for this role consist of: Monday to Sunday, Early, late shifts and long shifts including evening and weekends

What you'll do:
Behaviour Analysis:
- You are liable to observing and monitoring the customer's behaviours, the duration, the intensity, and the damage, as well as factors that may alleviate or trigger the behaviour
- You understand and collaborate with the different support organizations accessible in the community
- You will have ability and skill to present and feedback to other professionals in a formal setting
- Reports possible cases of abuse, neglect or endangerment appropriately
- Actively participates in the reviewing and the designing behavioural interventions plans.
- Implements behaviour support plans

- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
- Participate in the support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker.
- Carry out security duties to ensure the safety of the customers and premises
- Enable customers to make full use of community facilities by providing support as directed
- Carry out support duties to enable customers to integrate into the community including e.g. accompanying the customer to attend benefit agency appointments and meetings, go shopping, to enquire at colleges about possible courses, to visit various public amenities
- Report any observations relating to customers welfare

About the role:
The position is an in-house legal role, General Counsel, within the Governance team at Motability Foundation, a UK charity dedicated to creating a future where all disabled people have the transport options to make the journeys they choose.

Working alongside the current General Counsel who works 3 days per week, this role plays a key part in supporting and protecting the organisation's interests by providing practical legal advice across a broad range of areas, including grants, contracts, disputes, governance and operational matters.

The role also involves overseeing external legal advisers where required and helping to manage legal risk across the Foundation's activities. Motability Foundation oversees the Motability Scheme, provides grants that support disabled people to access transport, funds organisations working to improve transport accessibility, and conducts research that helps drive innovation and positive change.

This is a full-time position operating within a blended home and office working model, with a minimum of two days per week in the Harlow, Essex office, including attendance on Wednesdays for the legal team's collaboration day, and occasional travel to London.

What you will be doing:
Act as General Counsel, providing (or arranging) sound, thorough and practical legal advice to the Charity and, in particular, its management, helping to protect and advance the interests of the Foundation and the people it supports in legal matters and negotiations.

Support best practice across the Group's activities, particularly in legal and governance matters.

Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a range of contracts, including grant agreements, supplier agreements and key partnership agreements.

Support compliance and regulatory matters across the Group's activities.

About the Royal School for the Blind Charity

The Royal School for the Blind Charity Liverpool is a charity that runs both a School for young people aged 2-19 years old and an adult day service for young adults over the age of 19 with vision impairment, sensory, or additional needs. Although our funding comes from a variety of sources, we are starting to fundraise to support our income and make our work more sustainable for the future. Income generated will support the development of our pupils and young adults, prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life and encourage their independence, communication and mobility. 

Why this role matters

We have ambitious plans for the future including building a new Centre to provide opportunities for therapies and independent growth for young people, and we know that developing sustainable voluntary income will be critical to achieving them. That's why we're investing in fundraising and creating this new role. Job Title: Charity Development Manager

Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)

Location: This role can be either office-based at the Royal School for the Blind Charity, or hybrid. 

Responsible to: Charity Leadership Group and managed by Head of Central Services

Pay Scale: £35k - £40k, depending on experience (NJC 26-30)

Term: Two-year fixed term in the first instance, with the ambition to establish fundraising as a sustainable long-term function within the charity.

This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a new fundraising operation from the ground up, playing a pivotal role in the long-term growth and sustainability of the Royal School for the Blind Charity. As the function develops, there will be scope to expand its reach and impact, offering excellent potential for career progression.

The Charity Development Manager will lead efforts to secure vital income that underpins the charity’s vision and purpose, driving support through donor engagement, targeted campaigns, and strategic fundraising initiatives. Our long-term ambition is to build a diversified fundraising programme capable of generating approximately £400,000 annually. This role will be instrumental in developing and delivering a growing, high-performing fundraising portfolio.

We are looking for an experienced fundraising professional who can design and deliver a robust, evidence-based fundraising strategy. This will involve gaining a deep understanding of the charity’s mission, stakeholders, and audiences, as well as the broader funding landscape, creating a diversified and effective approach that maximizes income and long-term sustainability. This is an exciting time for the Charity as we become much more outward-looking. Alongside our existing work, we have begun a capital building project to enhance our resources. When completed, the new Rushton Centre will house facilities which are open to the public, including a hydrotherapy pool and a café. At the heart of this is a wish to make the Royal School for the Blind Charity part of the fabric of the City.

In this new post we are looking for someone who can help open up our work to the wider public: the role is well suited to an experienced fundraiser looking for autonomy and the opportunity to help shape the next chapter in the charity’s history.

Although this is a new standalone fundraising role, you won't be building the function in isolation. The post sits within a well-established and supportive team and will be strategically led by the Charity Leadership group and Board of Trustees. In addition, you will have access to colleagues across our services to help bring our impact to life, and support to develop campaigns and engage new audiences. Alongside this, the Charity is currently fundraising for a capital project for a significant new building to resource our activities and reach out into the wider community. The Role

In April 2026, National Voices was commissioned by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to deliver their work with the CQC Public Engagement Network. The Public Engagement Network is a group of 50+ charities with reach into communities experiencing health inequalities across England. By engaging with these organisations, the CQC’s aim is to ensure that local health and care services meet the needs and preferences of the communities they serve.

For both organisations this is much more than just another engagement contract, it is a new partnership designed to make the voices the CQC hears from more than the sum of its parts. In our work with the Public Engagement Network, we are committed to:

The Voices for Health Equity Project Manager role is to:

- Lead the delivery of the Public Engagement Network contract from inception through to delivery, learning and evaluation, including co-ordinating an integrated management team including representatives of our two partner organisations.

- Build, manage and sustain the Public Engagement Network, creating a range of opportunities for members to participate, and ensuring relationships are meaningful, inclusive and mutually beneficial.

- Ensure high-quality insight is captured from the network, analysed and translated into learning, improvement and influence.

- Provide day-to-day project governance, reporting, quality assurance and risk management.

The role is delivery-focused and externally facing, with significant responsibility for programme management, partner relationships and ensuring National Voices’ values are embedded in how CQC uses the insights generated.

Responsibilities

Programme and client management

· Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Public Engagement Network programme, including co-ordinating an integrated management team including representatives of our two partner organisations.

· Manage individual project plans, budgets, risks and dependencies, escalating issues appropriately and ensuring delivery remains on track.

· Oversee subcontracted work, including agreeing briefs, managing performance, quality assuring outputs and approving invoices.

· Act as the main point of contact for the commissioners, and lead on regular reporting obligations and on programme evaluation.

Building and managing the Public Engagement Network

· Take lead responsibility for engaging, stewarding, supporting and retaining a network of VCSE organisations with reach into marginalised communities and those experience inequalities.

· Design and deliver engagement approaches with the network and those they represent that prioritises trust, long-term relationships and mutual benefit.

· Oversee the delivery of learning events, sense-making sessions and other opportunities that support members to build confidence, skills and influence.

· Ensure participants are appropriately supported, reimbursed and recognised for their contribution.

· Ambitiously grow the Network, through participating in outreach events, ongoing communication activities and more.

Co-ordinate and support activities capturing insight, learning and impact

· Co-ordinate and support colleagues with projects that capture qualitative and quantitative insight from people with lived experience, including insight capture events, focus groups, interviews, advisory groups etc.

· When needed, support the analysis and synthesis of insight into clear themes, findings and recommendations.

· Work with colleagues to ensure insight informs National Voices’ wider influencing, improvement and learning activity.

· Support effective feedback loops, ensuring participants understand how their input has been used and what impact it has had.

Governance, quality and risk management

· Provide day-to-day programme governance for assigned projects, operating within agreed frameworks and reporting arrangements

· Contribute to internal management groups and partnership meetings as required

· Maintain and review risk registers and quality assurance processes.

· Ensure safeguarding, data protection, accessibility and ethical considerations are embedded in all activity.

· Support preparation of regular performance and impact reports for internal and external audiences.

Partnership and stakeholder management

· Work closely with partner organisations to deliver programmes collaboratively, modelling National Voices’ values and ways of working

· Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders across the CQC, VCSE organisations and delivery partners.

· Represent National Voices at external meetings, events and learning forums as required.

Line management and internal leadership

· Line-manage the Voices for Health Equity Project Officer including overseeing day-to-day work, quality assuring outputs, holding regular 1-2-1s as well as setting annual objectives and completing appraisals.

· Provide matrix management for other National Voices of colleagues including other Manager roles and other officers, as and when work requires.

· Work in sync with other managers across National Voices, contributing to a joined-up, supportive team culture

· Deputise for the Director of Evidence and Improvement, or other senior colleagues, when required.

Our approach to hybrid working

We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.

We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to- face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.

We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time. We are happy to discuss how this sits in your life. This can be agreed by your line manager.

In addition, because this role involves engaging with and recruiting to a large network of VCSE organisations, the post holder will be required to regularly attend in-person events across England. These are likely to take place around once a month and may sometimes require overnight stays. Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs for events across England will be paid, however, travel to our London office will be at the expense of the postholder.

We are looking for an established senior social care leader with significant experience leading complex care and support services.

You may have worked within learning disability and autism services, supported living or another relevant area of adult social care. Exact sector experience matters less than a strong understanding of regulated care and support, quality, safeguarding and the realities of delivering sustainable services in a challenging commissioning environment.

You will understand what excellent support looks like and bring the credibility to provide assurance and constructive challenge at Executive and Board level. Experience of CQC-regulated services and a strong understanding of the responsibilities associated with the Nominated Individual role will be particularly important.

Alongside your technical expertise, you will bring strong commercial and financial judgement. You will understand service models, commissioning arrangements and financial performance and make difficult decisions when necessary, without ever losing sight of the impact those decisions have on people’s lives.

This peer support project is delivered in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust to support Carers of people with mental health conditions.  This project will work to support Carers through one-to-one support, outreach, training and peer support groups.

About The Role: 

Using your lived experience of caring for someone with a mental health condition, and a strengths-based approach, you will support mental health Carers in their caring role.  You will provide person centred one-to-one- support, information, signposting, and advocacy, develop, and facilitate peer support groups and deliver training and outreach sessions at different locations across the borough.

• Lived experience of Caring for someone with a mental health condition

As Mass Participation Event Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the programme while driving continued growth in income, participation and supporter engagement. You will have responsibility for the development, performance and delivery of the mass participation portfolio, working closely with the Head of Fundraising (Community & Events) to grow income, participation and engagement.

Alongside this overall responsibility, you will have direct ownership of your own area of the portfolio, including the Great North Run, Berlin Marathon, Chicago Marathon, Cape Town Marathon and our wider challenges programme. You will manage these events from recruitment and participant onboarding through to fundraising, event-day delivery and post-event stewardship, while supporting the Head of Fundraising (C&E) with our flagship London Marathon.

You will also line manage the Events Junior Officer, who will have direct responsibility for their own allocated events. You will provide leadership, direction and support to ensure their events are delivered successfully and contribute to the wider mass participation goals.

This is a senior, hands-on role. You will be expected to lead the development of the overall programme while remaining directly involved in the day-to-day delivery of your own events. This includes recruiting and stewarding participants, developing campaigns, managing budgets and suppliers, speaking directly with supporters and being hands-on at events.

The position

The Chief Medical Officer is one of three new senior leadership roles we're creating alongside our CEO, the first time OUTpatients has built a leadership team of this kind. Although the role is part-time, just one day a week, its influence is not: you'll be the clinical conscience of everything we produce, and a trusted voice for LGBTIQ+ people affected by cancer within the NHS and medical sector.

Working at the intersection of oncology and LGBTIQ+ health equity, you'll ensure our resources, training and peer support are always backed by rigorous clinical evidence and safe, reliable quality standards, giving our small team the confidence to support people safely. Beyond quality assurance, you'll act as a trusted spokesperson and policy voice, opening doors within the NHS and cancer sector that a patient-led charity alone cannot.

Working closely with our incoming Chief Operating Officer and Head of Fundraising & Business Development, and reporting directly to our CEO, your clinical judgement will directly shape how safely and credibly we're able to grow.

Introduction to the role

The Digital Communications Coordinator will coordinate the digital communications for Surrey Coalition of Disabled People as well as the projects/networks that we coordinate such as The Independent Mental Health Network (IMHN).

Purpose of the role

To lead on the coordination, design and delivery of vibrant and engaging communications for The Coalition.

We want to expand our reach and increase our engagement.

You will help us to achieve this:

• Through building our existing social media channels as well as researching/implementing new channels
• Keeping The Coalition website updated with fresh and engaging content
• Developing marketing materials for our events/social activities and services/projects
• Being the expert in digital accessibility

Main responsibilities

• Craft/develop content for the Coalition’s social media channels including You Tube and the website
• Co-ordinate and develop an ongoing schedule of new content for each of the social media platforms, ensuring this is in line with the overall organisation’s activities
• Monitor networks/trending topics to ensure that the Coalition maximises any opportunities to respond to appropriate topics
• Provide analysis of the effectiveness of our content through regular reporting including key metrics such as reach, impressions and engagement
• Keep the website updated – including making changes to pages as well as building new ones
• To ensure that our communications are available in a wide range of formats that meets the accessibility needs of our membership
• Working with the wider staff and volunteer team, to identify and generate compelling case studies and examples of our work
• To be the brand guardian for the organisation
• To develop the knowledge of the staff team around effective communications, and contribute to team training and development
• To develop Coalition News, our quarterly Newsletter
• To attend member events to capture content for communications across all channels
• To support fundraising with developing appropriate content for funding applications and reporting
• Help develop and implement a 3 year communications and marketing strategy for the charity
• Draft press releases as required and liaise with members, staff and journalists to organise coverage.

We are looking for someone with:

• Outstanding organisation and planning skills (E)
• Excellent written communication skills and experience with copywriting for social media platforms (E)
• Some experience of creating and editing basic graphics, video and animation using software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Adobe Effects and/or photo editing software (E)
• Experience of editing web pages and building web pages (E)
• Able to analyse and evaluate reports from social media activity (E)
• A high degree of self-motivation and able to work on own initiative (E)
• A creative flair, ideas and understanding of current media trends, identifying opportunities etc. (E)
• Experience of working in a Disabled Peoples Organisation or in the wider Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector (D)
• Experience and knowledge of working with people who are Disabled and/or carers or lived experience of Disability or being a family Carer (D)

This role requires the successful applicant to be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (we will organise and pay for this for you if you are successful).
