About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting an In Work Employment Support Specialist to join our In Work Service based in Tower Hamlets. This role focuses on supporting people to remain in employment and supporting employers to retain staff who are experiencing mental health challenges.

What you’ll be doing

If you were working with us, you would manage a caseload of clients who are currently in work and have mental health support needs. Your role would focus on helping people remain in their jobs, build confidence at work, and address challenges early before they escalate.

You would work directly with employees to understand their needs, strengths, and workplace challenges. Where appropriate, you would engage with employers to explore reasonable adjustments, communication strategies, and practical solutions that support retention. This requires confidence, professionalism, and a solution-focused approach when working with both individuals and organisations.

In cases where a return to the current role or employer is not possible, you would support clients to explore alternative outcomes. This may include securing alternative employment or working towards a settlement agreement in a supportive and informed way.

You would deliver support using a person-centred and strengths-based approach, while maintaining accurate records and working to agreed outcomes. You would also collaborate with referring teams and other professionals to ensure coordinated, client-led support.

The role is part-time, working 21 hours per week, including one late evening to ensure accessibility for people who cannot meet during working hours. You would be based in Tower Hamlets two days per week, attend meetings with employers across London, and have the option to work from home one days per week.

What you’ll need

Experience of in-work or retention support is not required. However, we are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in employment support or a related role.

• A strong interest in mental health and its impact in the workplace.

• Confidence engaging with employers and discussing sensitive workplace issues.

• Excellent communication and organisation skills, with the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

• A genuine desire to help people stay in work and support employers to retain staff.

The Major Donor and Trusts Manager will play a pivotal role in driving RNID’s High Value fundraising strategy. You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of major donors and trusts, strengthen stewardship processes, and develop innovative engagement strategies. Working in close partnership with the Senior Philanthropy Manager and High Value colleagues, you’ll help unlock transformational gifts that make a lasting impact.

You will:  

· Cultivate and manage relationships with major donors and trusts.


· Design and deliver innovative stewardship plans.

· Create engaging funding proposals and impact reports.

· Work with advocates and internal teams to identify new prospects. 

· Plan and deliver donor cultivation events. 

You’ll bring a proven track record of securing significant gifts (five and six-figure), excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to craft compelling proposals. Main Purpose of the Role: 

To provide proactive, emotional, and practical support to families and individuals affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) across England. The role will focus on early engagement, wellbeing assessment, community building, and delivery of workshops and events, while ensuring accurate tracking of support outcomes and data.   
  
The successful candidate will also lead on support for our End of Life and Bereavement projects, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, palliative care teams, and hospices to ensure families have access to appropriate services and resources. 

Specific Tasks: 

1. Proactive Family Support  

• Initiate contact with newly registered families within agreed timeframes (email within 3 working days, call within 7–10 working days)  

• Contact to be made to all registered Action Duchenne members, knows to us in the Regions you will be covering, to ensure the current support offer is clear   

• Provide ongoing support tailored to individual needs, including emotional wellbeing, physical health, housing, financial security, self-esteem and respect, decision-making, social engagement, quality of life, and access to care  

• Use the Action Duchenne Assessment Form and Action Plan to identify and respond to areas of concern  

2. Advanced and End-of-Life Care Support 

• Provide compassionate, practical, and emotional support to children, young people, and adults living with Duchenne, and their families, as they navigate advanced stages of the condition and end-of-life care. 

• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, palliative care teams, and hospices to ensure families have access to appropriate services and resources. 

• Develop and share guidance, resources, and workshops to help families prepare for and manage advanced care planning, symptom management, and emotional wellbeing. 

• Support families in understanding available options for care settings (home, hospice, hospital) and facilitate informed decision-making. 

• Ensure continuity of care and communication between multidisciplinary teams, while respecting family preferences and cultural considerations. 

• Offer signposting to bereavement support and follow-up services for families after loss. 

3. Wellbeing Tracking and Outcome Measurement  

• Administer wellbeing questionnaires and record scores across key domains (e.g. physical health, emotional wellbeing, financial security)  

• Collaborate with families to co-create action plans and track progress  

• Ensure all data is entered into CRM (E-Tapestry or similar) within the allotted timeframe, i.e. immediately after or during the call.  

4. Community Engagement and Event Delivery  

• Organise and deliver regional meetups (minimum one per quarter)  

• Facilitate support groups (virtual and in-person) for parents, young people, and extended family (minimum one per quarter)  

• Support delivery of workshops and events aligned with programme schedule (e.g. music, life skills, employability)  

• Actively participate in networking events to promote Action Duchenne within our communities, build relationships, and drive growth in membership by encouraging registration of families affected by Duchenne 

5. Stakeholder Collaboration  

• Liaise and develop relationships with external organisations including NHS care advisors and clinics, local authorities, counselling services, and other charities  

• Represent Action Duchenne in across your regions and build relationships with local networks  

6. Administration and Reporting  

• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and support provided  

• Contribute to quarterly reporting on activity delivery, capacity utilisation, and family impact  

• Support development of CRM processes and service delivery improvements  

7. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):  

• New contact acknowledgement email: within 3 working days

• New contact follow-up call: within 7–10 working days 

• Families contacted per week: 12–15 hours of direct contact

• Regional meetups: 1 per quarter

• Support groups delivered: 9–12 per year

Stepping Stones Learning and Leisure is a small and welcoming Southwark charity that supports adults with learning disabilities to live connected, confident and fulfilling lives. We offer creative, social and practical sessions throughout the week. Music plays an important role in promoting positive wellbeing, and helps people build confidence, try new things, and feel part of a community.

We are looking for a friendly and engaging Music Facilitator to lead our weekly music sessions. You will encourage participants to explore a range of instruments, express themselves and enjoy the experience of making music together. Our groups include adults with a wide range of learning disabilities so sessions must be accessible, adaptable and delivered with flexibility and patience.

About the Role

As our Freelance Music Facilitator, you will plan and deliver inclusive sessions that may include:

• exploring different instruments
• rhythm and percussion activities
• creative music making
• group interaction and confidence building
• simple performance or sharing moments

You will also complete required paperwork including Individual Learning Plans, course outlines, schemes of work and track progress across each term.

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable experience in a similar position and be comfortable working with a diverse range of volunteers/people. As a self-starter, you can work at pace and quickly assess and deliver to changing priorities in a busy remote team. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to coordinate multiple tasks/activities and have the flexibility to respond to changing demands.

Policy Specialist (children and young people)

We are currently looking for a Policy Specialist to join Mencap. This position sits within the Policy and Public Affairs teams of Mencap’s Campaigns, Advocacy and Activism Directorate (CAA). You will work closely with our influencing, information and advice, campaigning, and research work, as well as sector partners like the Disabled Children's Partnership.

This is an exciting new role to deliver policy change and enhance the rights of children and young people with a learning disability. At a key time to influence Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) education reform, we are seeking a policy specialist to shape policy work that reflects the needs and experiences of children, young people, and their families. Working within the policy team, you will be responsible for developing evidence-based policy work and influencing decision-makers. 

This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week). We are flexible with your work location, but there may be some occasional travel needed to our London office or Westminster.

You will:

· Translate complex work into clear and persuasive policy briefings, consultation responses and reports.

· Work within wider coalitions of charities, building collaborative relationships and ensuring that the needs and priorities of our community are addressed.

· Develop and expand Mencap’s ‘Policy Shapers’ work, ensuring our work reflects the experiences of children and young people with a learning disability and their families.

· Support our information and advice team, briefing them on important developments, inputting into casework discussions relevant to your areas of work, and supporting the creation of public information resources.

· Represent Mencap at meetings and events, with MPs, civil servants, and sector partners.

· Identify and analyse relevant research to develop evidence-based policy recommendations.

You will bring to this role:

· Experience of working on public policy issues.

· Strong communication skills: experience tailoring your messaging to a variety of different audiences and representing an organisation.

HFT is looking for a talented Database and Insight Manager to take the lead on our fundraising data strategy, ensuring we use information smartly, securely and creatively to grow income and strengthen the supporter experience.

About the Role

As our Database and Insight Manager, you’ll be the organisation’s go-to expert on data and insight. You’ll own and develop our fundraising CRM (Charity CRM), making sure it’s accurate, efficient, compliant and optimised to meet our evolving fundraising needs.

You’ll work closely with Fundraising, Finance, IT, Communications and Supporter Experience teams—helping them make evidence-based decisions, derive powerful insights, and deliver excellent stewardship for every supporter.

This is a strategic, hands-on role where you’ll shape how data is collected, used and understood across HFT. From creating dashboards to implementing data workflows, to training colleagues, your expertise will ensure our data is the strongest foundation for future growth.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, develop and champion our fundraising database, ensuring it’s well maintained, continuously improved and aligned with organisational priorities.
• Provide expert insight, segmentation, data selections and reporting for the Fundraising Team.
• Produce accurate, meaningful reports and dashboards to support campaign planning, performance tracking and strategic decision-making.
• Deliver training and system support to ensure colleagues are confident, compliant and data-savvy.
• Act as HFT’s internal Charity CRM expert, offering guidance, troubleshooting and technical support.
• Ensure strong processes for data quality, security and GDPR compliance, including regular cleaning, de-duplication and integrity checks.
• Lead external profiling projects and implement resulting recommendations.
• Support income processing, reconciliation and Gift Aid claims.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Communications and Supporter Experience to ensure data flows and insights are consistent, accurate and meaningful.

About You

You’re an analytical thinker with strong technical skills and a passion for data-driven fundraising. You can translate complex information into clear, compelling insight and you’re comfortable leading on system optimisation, reporting and data governance.

You will bring:

• Strong experience using CRM systems, including queries, exports, dashboards and workflows.
• Ability to analyse complex datasets and produce meaningful insight.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication skills, especially when explaining data to non-technical colleagues.
• Knowledge of fundraising segmentation, donor contactability and data-driven fundraising approaches.
• High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
• Competence in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience using analysis tools such as Power BI.
• Understanding of GDPR, data protection and fundraising regulation.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Crystal Reports, SQL or similar reporting tools.
• Experience in fundraising, marketing or business development environments.

Key Responsibilities

Finance

• Responsible for processing all income in SAGE from various platforms reconciling income to bank statements.
• Responsible for processing monthly/annual journal and accruals
• Responsible for sales invoicing.
• Perform monthly CRM-Accounting software reconciliation.
• Helping to improve finance processes and systems.
• Monthly claim and process monthly Internal Gift Aid claims and reconcile External Gift Aid with Fundraising Team.
• Support Finance Manager with a variety of monthly and quarterly reconciliations and ad-hoc reports
• Oversee customer invoicing and Credit Control.
• Assist the external auditors during their audit fieldwork
• Coordinate financial tasks for Major Fundraising Events (pre and post activities)
• Attend the major Fundraising events
• Acting as point of contact for income related queries
• Support with bank reconciliation,
• Support with preparation of fixed assets register

About the role:

We’re building a Transport Solutions Team that works flexibly across all the tools in our delivery kit – from grants and innovation pilots to research, partnerships, and commercial interventions. Our growing portfolio includes flagship projects tackling challenges such as inclusive EV charging infrastructure, complex community transport needs, and large-scale research like the National Centre for Accessible Transport.

We are now recruiting for three Transport Solutions Managers, one permanent position and two 24 month fixed-term contracts. These roles will lead the design and delivery of high-impact work focused primarily on accessible electric vehicle (EV) charging – a key priority for the Foundation. This is a pivotal role that combines technical understanding, programme delivery, and stakeholder leadership, and is designed to work flexibly across our matrix structure.

While your core focus will be on EV charging, you also may be expected to lead and/or contribute to other transport projects across the transport themes.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, purpose-led team driving change in the transport system for disabled people, and to work on some of the most complex and impactful projects in the sector.

What you will be doing:

• Lead the design and delivery of accessible EV charging initiatives, working closely with Programme Directors and partners across government, industry and the charity sector.
• Scope, commission and manage projects related to EV charging – such as pilots, commercial partnerships, research studies or funding opportunities – ensuring alignment to strategic priorities.
• Bring technical and market understanding of EV charging (e.g. standards, installation, interoperability, user experience, accessibility requirements) to shape the Foundation’s approach in this space.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of specific initiatives, including planning, budgeting, due diligence, contracting, risk management, and governance reporting.
• Use insight, evidence and stakeholder engagement to shape new programmes of work and ensure delivery reflects the needs of disabled people.
• Work flexibly across our matrix team, contributing to projects or funding rounds outside your own portfolio as needed, and supporting colleagues with specialist input or delivery resource.
• Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including OZEV, DfT, BSI, chargepoint operators, local authorities, disability organisations and industry experts.
• Collaborate across the Foundation, including with the Insight & Evaluation, Finance and Communications teams, to ensure high-quality delivery, learning and visibility of our work.
• Bring and apply knowledge in key areas as accessible transport, disability, inclusive innovation, grant making or systems change.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of our delivery models, funding mechanisms and ways of working.

Your experience:

Must haves:

• Experience managing complex projects, ideally in EV charging, transport, or energy sectors.
• Ability to translate technical or policy insight (e.g. standards, user experience, accessibility, or engineering considerations) into practical delivery and funding approaches.
• Experience managing projects or funding opportunities from inception through to delivery, ideally across multiple partners or suppliers.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across government, industry, and the charity sector.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to deliver multiple, complex workstreams to deadlines.
• Strong analytical capability, able to interpret data, research and qualitative insight to inform recommendations and decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality reports, business cases, and presentations for senior audiences.
• Confident IT literacy, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).

Nice to haves:

• Understanding of EV charging systems, standards (e.g. PAS 1899), and market dynamics.
• Experience working alongside government, local authorities, or industry partners on projects.
