In your role as a Community Keyworker, you will be working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System; those on Probation in the Community and those women being released from Prison as part of their Post Sentence Supervision; providing some in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support. You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide holistic one to one community support to women with a variety of needs.
About You:
To be successful as the Community Key Worker you will need the below experience and skills.
You will need to hold a UK driving licence with access to car that can be used for work purposes. A creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder with have good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also, experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions within the Kent

The Public Affairs Assistant will work with the Public Affairs Manager, Director of Policy and Evidence and the Policy and Campaigns Team to help influence decision makers and build stronger relationships with stakeholders, and ensure there is better understanding of the impact that challenges with talking and understanding words can have on a child and young person’s life.

The post-holder will:
· Provide the administrative support to the Speech, Language and Communication Alliance playing a key role in support the charity to foster stronger relationships with key partners
· Support the Public Affairs Manager in dissemination of briefings and correspondence with parliamentarians and civil servants, including setting up meetings
· Attend meetings as required, both in person and online to facilitate record keeping and liaison
· Maintain the Microsoft Team and SharePoint sites so that documents and notes are securely stored and accessible and version control is maintained.

Role Summary
The Resources Coordinator role sits within the learning content creation team, which is responsible for the devising, commissioning and delivering of high quality, film-focused learning opportunities. The MARAC Coordinator will coordinate, administer, and manage the operation of the MARAC. One of the main purposes of the role is to bring together agencies to ensure that local systems are truly keeping survivors safe, holding perpetrators to account, and preventing domestic abuse. A key principle of the post is respecting the independence of each agency and ensuring the MARAC’s key principles are survivor’s and children’s safety, offender accountability and giving a clear message that domestic abuse is s crime that will not be tolerated. The post holder will be located in Brent, and will meet MARAC partners in a variety of settings in the community. The post holder will also spend time raising awareness of the service, domestic abuse, and the MARAC in addition to training agencies on the MARAC and inducting new MARAC representatives on the MARAC.
The post holder will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC. The post holder will also have a good understanding of managing a project.

Thorough knowledge of safeguarding practice, procedures and legislation

Chapter One is a small but growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone to contribute to the work of our fast-growing charity. You will work as part of the Chapter One Support Team, ensuring that our online reading volunteers have everything that they need - from onboarding to assisting with ID checks and responding to email queries. Social mobility in the UK is still far from a reality: disadvantaged pupils are less likely to attend university/ high level apprenticeships, occupy top jobs and improve their standard of living over their parents than their peers. The divide has become even clearer since Covid-19.
The gap between most advantaged and least advantaged pupils’ employment and higher education destinations remains vast - and this leads to real-life consequences. There is still much more to be done.
As an award-winning, fast-moving charity our mission is to support young people from disadvantaged communities to identify and fulfil their potential. Working in partnership with schools, universities, and employers, we deliver academic and pastoral coaching programmes that improve pupils’ confidence, resilience, and independence, as well as their attainment.
With a recently written three-year strategy, and a new Chief Executive, we’re at anexciting stage of development and have ambitious plans to continue improving our im- pact and reach. This academic year, we are planning on supporting over 2,000 pupils across our three regional teams: London, the South East and the West Midlands.
Role description
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to enhance our work across London, where we have very strong existing school and university partnerships.
You will primarily be responsible for delivering our academic coaching programmes to pupils in both Primary and Secondary Schools across your region, and other regions when required. Typically we run programmes between the months of October-December, and February-June, where regular travel to schools in the region will be required.
As a Programme Officer you will also recruit, train and manage volunteers (typically current undergraduates from universities in your region), deliver in-school and online workshops, and contribute to the overall development of the region.
You will be delivering programmes in schools and with volunteers can be challenging, with every day looking a little different from the last. But it is ultimately extremely rewarding! You will flourish in this role if you enjoy thinking quickly, responding to challenges, and using your own initiative to get great outcomes for young people.

The London Programme Officer will be responsible for:
Programme coordination and delivery:

Coordinate and run multiple in-school and online programmes (core and peer to peer) across the region and, when required, in other regions.

The Opportunity
This role sits within our Evaluation unit in our Impact Partnerships team, who work with education organisations such as charities, universities and education technology companies (our ‘impact partners’). Our work focuses on helping these organisations to design and deliver evaluations, and to build their capacity for impact evaluation.
We are looking for a candidate who can support the team internally with a variety of delivery and administrative processes, working directly with our schools and partners to support their evaluation journey. This will include supporting new schools through their onboarding and data collection processes and monitoring their usage of our digital platform, the School Impact Platform. About the role:
This role is for an events person who can support our training and development courses. These courses are delivered either face-to-face or hybrid and are often delivered by a team of the organisation’s members. We use tools such as WebEx, MS Teams and Slido to support the delivery. Home-based (UK), with travel to the BDA office in Bracknell (Berkshire) and around the UK as and when necessary. Additionally, travel to team days approximately 1-2 times a year is required.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to):
·Recruiting, training and supporting regional volunteers and working with a national voluntary panel.
· Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of volunteers.
· Provide supervision and guidance to volunteers to ensure a positive volunteer experience.
· Coordinate volunteer training and onboarding processes.
· Maintain accurate volunteer records, including role, contract information and achievements.
· Monitor and evaluate the provision of outreach services to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
· Leading specific outreach to groups impacted and disadvantaged by dyslexia and resulting life circumstances.
· Promoting hubs, working closely with Marketing and Communications colleagues and creating referral routes to hub services.
· Coordinating with organisations and stakeholders at a national and local level, for joint working and support of the hubs.
· Creating resources and tools for hub volunteers to run services and for new hubs to establish in a consistent way.
· Evaluating services run by Local Hubs and contributing to knowledge and research on needs, provision and outcomes for people with dyslexia.
· Bringing together the network of Local Hubs, Local Dyslexia Associations and other member organisations - enabling them to share good practice, access training and peer support between volunteers.
· Create and maintain an internal engagement plan that supports the BDA to increase impact and reach through our work with communities, including best practice guidance and tools.

Skills & Experience:
· Experience of engaging and including diverse groups, ‘hard to reach’ and vulnerable beneficiaries.
· Demonstrable experience of volunteer management, including the recruiting, managing, supporting, training and retention of volunteers.
· Able to develop links and relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
· Project management skills, including development of regional services.
· Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence.
· Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· An ability to build effective networks that foster collaboration both internally and externally.
· Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
