The Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham is recruiting for an Independent Chair of our Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP). In this role you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the well-being of children and vulnerable adults within the communities of our diocese.
Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel
DSAP exists to advise the Diocesan Bishop and the Diocesan Chief Executive on the adequacy of the local safeguarding policies, in alignment with all national church and statutory procedures, and provide scrutiny of culture, working practices, and training arrangements for all diocesan and cathedral staff and office holders. The panel provides appropriate advice, guidance and support on case management and safeguarding requirements.
As chair of the panel, you will lead a dedicated team of safeguarding experts, specialists, and diocesan staff, drawing on their knowledge and experience to continuously improve our safeguarding practices.
