The Role 

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Operations Coordinator to support the smooth running of the organisation. 

This is a varied role at the heart of a small charity, spanning governance, HR, finance and operations. You’ll work closely with the Head of Operations & Strategy and support colleagues across the organisation to ensure systems, processes and compliance run effectively. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support board and governance processes, including meetings and record-keeping 

• Provide HR and finance administration, including recruitment coordination and invoice/expense processing 

• Help manage day-to-day operations, including office coordination, IT and suppliers 

• Act as Health & Safety Coordinator 

• Support data processes alongside the Data Manager 

• Contribute to cross-team projects and general organisational support 

About You 

• Experience in an administrative or operations role (charity or small organisation desirable) 

• Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities 

• Proactive, reliable and collaborative 

• Strong communication skills and discretion with confidential information 

• Comfortable working across a broad and varied remit 

Experience in HR, finance, governance or CRM systems is helpful but not essential.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a newly shaped role following a restructure that has created space to further strengthen and grow our community fundraising programme. As Community Fundraising Manager, you will play a central role in shaping a fundraising programme with lasting impact. You will take ownership of growing income, expanding supporter engagement, and building long-term relationships across the community.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Growth:

• Work with the Head of Fundraising (C&E) to develop and deliver a refreshed community fundraising strategy.
• Shape and implement plans to grow income, engagement and supporter involvement.
• Set clear income targets, KPIs and growth priorities.

Supporter Engagement & Stewardship:

• Build strong supporter and volunteer relationships, delivering high-quality stewardship and supporter care to enhance journeys, maximise retention and grow long-term engagement.

• Lead delivery of a range of community fundraising activities, including individual fundraising activities and challenges, in celebration and in memory fundraising.
• Identifying and developing new community fundraising opportunities.

Recruitment & Communications:

• Recruit, support and develop volunteers and fundraisers across a range of activities.
• Encourage progression of volunteers into active fundraisers and community leaders.

• Support the promotion of fundraising activity through social media, digital channels and campaign communications.

We are looking for a confident and driven marketer who is eager to join a hard-working and ambitious Individual Giving team. As the fastest growing medical research charity in the UK, we're proud that the Individual Giving team is continuing to produce highly successful campaigns, driving income and acquiring the most engaged new supporters.

Working with different teams across the charity, you'll be planning, managing and delivering direct marketing campaigns across a range of media including digital and print. You'll also work with external agencies on our campaigns. Activities in the acquisition portfolio are diverse; from developing the donor's online user journey to delivering motivational training to fundraisers across the country, your campaigns will drive income and attract new, engaged supporters to the charity.

As well as running the day-to-day campaign activity, the post holder will be responsible for compiling regular reports, across a range of financial and non-financial KPls. Key Responsibilities:

 

Campaign Management

· Plan, manage and deliver successful campaigns across a range of channels including digital and print.

· Successful management of agencies and suppliers; ensuring relationships are effective and productive.

· Ensure compliance and adherence to regulation and codes of practice is considered in all campaign activities.

· Work closely with Data and Digital teams to ensure effective processes are worked to and full campaign evaluation is possible.

· Donation page monitoring, reporting and development, to include looking at ways in which to improve the donor's online user journey.

· Continuous improvement through test and learn principles across all activities.

· Integration of campaigns across the charity to drive maximum value.

· Development of compelling communications and materials to support all activities

 

Planning and Budgeting

· KPI tracking, trend analysis and interrogation of results at all levels.

· Live programme optimisation to ensure targets are met.

· Input to annual planning and development of individual giving campaigns.

· Assist Supporter Acquisition Manager with compilation of detailed income and expenditure campaign budgets.

· Work with Supporter Acquisition Manager in developing the Acquisition programme and strategy.

· Input to monthly forecasting and regular reporting across a range of financial and non-financial KPl's.

 

Finance and Reporting

· Ensure daily campaign tracking and reporting.

· Routine end of campaign reviews and analysis.

· Ongoing reporting on long-term success measures such as attrition and ROI.

· Invoice reconciliation and processing for timely payment.

· Non-financial KPI trend reporting - such as opt-in rates and quality scoring.

Ways of working:

About the role:

The prospect research and pipeline management role is pivotal to fundraising at Sue Ryder – you will sit within the Philanthropy and Partnership team and will be working across the Corporate, Trust, Major Donor and Regional teams. We are looking for someone who can support our fundraisers through prospect research, network mapping, lead qualification, and due diligence checks.

Most importantly you will be a proactive member of the team, joining us at an exciting time as we embark on our newly developed 5-year fundraising strategy. You will be a member of the team with the skills to review and develop the pipeline management process on our CRM (Raiser Edge NXT) ensuring the teams have access to dashboards, tracking their donors across the stages of solicitation. You will also provide insight reports into how well we are moving prospects through the pipelines and will have a voice to make recommendations. About you:

• Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with prospect research tools and the ability to identify and recommend the best tools to support our work using the budget as cost effectively as possible.
• Thorough working knowledge of GDPR as it relates to major donor fundraising and the Fundraising Codes of Practice.
• Experience of undertaking due diligence checks on prospective donors and of setting up and implementing policies and processes to ensure regulatory compliance.

We’re looking for a Head of Research & Evidence to join our ambitious Research, Learning & Systems Change Team. 

Young Lives vs Cancer has a strong and growing commitment to changing the system for children and young people with cancer, and their loved ones. Our North Star vision and Time is Now Strategy focus on influencing how the wider system works – from services and policy to practice on the ground – so that families get the support they need.

The Head of Research and Evidence sits in the Research, Learning & Systems Change team, within our Innovation, Policy & Systems Change Directorate. The role is responsible for ensuring our work is grounded in strong, credible and useful evidence, and that learning is actively used to shape decisions, practice and change across the system.

This is a leadership role within a small but ambitious team. You will set direction and provide thought leadership, but you will also be hands on – designing, commissioning, managing and using research alongside colleagues and partners.

Building trusted relationships and using evidence to influence thinking and action are central. You will work with colleagues, children and young people, families, and partner organisations (such as the North Star Cancer Collective) to learn, strengthen credibility and create change.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. An exciting opportunity for a Data Services Manager has arisen at World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF). 

WCRF is the UK’s leading cancer prevention charity focusing on the link between cancer and risk factors such as diet, body weight and physical activity. 

We are seeking a Data Services Manager to lead and be responsible for the management, use and maintenance of systems and in-house CRM databases to support the achievement of the charity’s fundraising strategic objectives. You will be analysing and reviewing data and reporting on results that can then be used to build engagement with our supporters.You will also be responsible for a team of two people. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with industry standard fundraising software solutions in the charity sector, ideally have knowledge of Claris Filemaker products and will have experience of creating new, and maintaining and updating existing, complex database systems.Experience of creating scripts and troubleshooting existing scripts is key, along with considerable hands-on experience of working with complex data sources, transfers and imports. An understanding and working knowledge of Data Protection regulations is required.

Supporter Relations Executive

 

The Supporter Relations and Fundraising Operations team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is a key point of contact in the charity for supporters and members of the public and ensures the highest standards in operational processes and compliance, in order to ensure a first-class supporter experience.

The Supporter Relations Executive will be responsible for delivering supporter facing engagement activities ensuring delivery of an excellent experience for every contact, recognise opportunities to increase supporter loyalty, and generate the maximum amount of income for dementia research. This role primarily works within the Supporter Relations sub- team alongside other Executives. To ensure appropriate resourcing across the wider team and maintain SLAs, the role will also carry out donation processing and other operational tasks relating to supporter activities, where required.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Supporter Enquiry Management

· Provide exceptional supporter care, ensuring every supporter and member of the public enjoys an outstanding experience when engaging with the charity, in all communications: inbound telephone calls, emails, social media messages and enquiries by post.

· Respond to a wide range of enquiries including marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials, within a timely and professional manner. 

· Receive and respond to feedback and complaints from members of the public and supporters, as the first point of contact in the team, escalating where required.

· Ensure the integrity of the CRM database, Salesforce, by amending supporter records accurately, including coding of and processing donations.

· Promote fundraising, engagement and retention opportunities when communicating with supporters, using a range of initiatives to explain the positive impact of their donations in contributing to the charity mission, ‘for a cure’.

· Ensure formal guidelines and best practice are adhered to in relation to Direct Debits, Gift Aid, FR codes of Fundraising Practice, Gambling Commission, and Data Protection Act.

Supporter Stewardship:

· Engage in outbound telephone calls and written communications to increase the value of, or to retain supporters; this will include thanking, stewardship activity, obtaining Gift Aid declarations and vulnerability checks.

· Support the Fundraising Relationship team to manage accounts specific to their regions, to ensure excellent supporter stewardship.

· Effectively and consistently seek opportunities to build networks among our fundraising community, ensuring these are directed to appropriate fundraising teams.

· Seek opportunities for repeat fundraising, by identifying opportunities and engaging with supporters as part of our re-engagement process.

· Manage the supporter follow‑up process to ensure funds are received promptly and accurately. 

·  Engage supporters in the best practice in ‘in aid of’ fundraising policies and deliver promotion of this opportunity.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Experience of working in a customer facing role.

· Experience of handling queries and complaints.

· Confidence working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM databases.

· Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

· Confident and engaging telephone manner.

· Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
