About the role:
MAG is for looking for a highly motivated and dynamic and experienced governance professional who will contribute to the continuous development and growth of the organisation, to join the team as our Head of Governance. You will provide high-quality, strategic corporate governance advice and operational secretariat support to MAG’s Board of Trustees and Leadership Team to ensure that our governance arrangements are efficient and effective as well as comply with regulatory and internal requirements and sector best practice. As part of the role, you will lead a small team that provides Management Support services to staff working in MAG’s Manchester office, including office administration and travel management.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced governance professional, who has demonstrable experience of supporting and advising a Board of Trustees and its Executive, as our new Company Secretary. You will have experience of working with the Charity Commission and as a Data Protection Officer. Additionally, your ability to analyse and interpret complex data and present written and verbal information in a clear and concise manner is an essential aspect of this role.
You must be able to advise Boards and Executives comprehensively and succinctly on corporate governance matters and excel at building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues across all levels of an organisation and key external stakeholders (e.g. regulators and external advisors). Experience of having worked for an international NGO or comparable organisation is ideal not essential.

Reprieve is a UK charity founded in 1999. Reprieve uses strategic interventions to end the use of the death penalty globally, and to end extreme human rights abuses carried out in the name of “counterterrorism” or “national security”.
Reprieve works with the most disenfranchised people in society, as it is in their cases that human rights are most swiftly jettisoned and the rule of law is cast aside. Thus, Reprieve promotes and protects the rights of those facing the death penalty and those who are the victims of extreme human rights abuses carried out in the name of “counterterrorism” or “national security”, with a focus on arbitrary detention, torture, and extrajudicial executions.
Reprieve’s main office is in Aldgate, London, UK. Reprieve also supports full-time Fellows, who work as lawyers, investigators and campaigners in the countries in which we work. About this role
The Digital Acquisition Officer is a key member of the Mass Engagement team and part of the wider Development team. The Mass Engagement team exists to raise awareness of Reprieve’s work, shift public opinion and to inspire support. Your role will be to engage members of the public, grow the Reprieve’s community and help establish our supporter base.
It is an exciting time for our team, as we launch their first mass engagement strategy to promote the long-term growth of the programme. Digital fundraising boomed between 2020 and 2021 but has faced challenges in 2022 and 2023. As we launch our new strategy, we are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual, keen to try new things and learn through testing, excited about communicating Reprieve’s work to our supporters and inspiring them to donate.
You will be key to the acquisition of new supporters, leading on developing and managing lead generation across our platforms, building paid for and organic content, and developing new and innovative ways to engage supporters with the support of the Head of Digital and Mass Engagement.
As a small team we have a collaborative and “all hands on deck” approach, ready to step in and support each other. This means at times you will support on our retention and stewardship work, as well as helping the wider Development Team when needed.
You will share our commitment to fighting racism and advancing racial justice, as well as help craft comms that can take supporters with us on this work whilst ensuring we do this in a way that does not compound racist structures.
Contract, location and salary
This is a full-time, fixed term 18 month contract with the possibility of extension dependent on funding. The salary is £40,964 plus up to 5% employee matched pension contribution.

Garden Court North Chambers is a highly successful barristers’ Chambers committed to the advancement of social justice through adherence to the rule of law and the promotion of fundamental rights. Members of Chambers specialise in inquests & public inquiries, immigration & asylum, Court of Protection, family, housing, protest rights and public law.
We are seeking a dynamic new staff member to manage the communications and promotional activities of Chambers, through our website and social media platforms, but also by incorporating training and promotional events, and by developing media engagement.
The successful applicant will line-managed by and work closely with the Head of Practice Management (HoPM). It is essential though that they are self-motivated and can work independently.
Key tasks
- To establish and maintain a communications strategy and plan for Chambers, utilising the latest in digital communication methods.
- To manage the promotional activities of Chambers, its Practice Teams, and individual members, by managing and developing:
- Its website and social media,
- Webinars, podcasts and other digital training methods,
- In-person training and promotional events.
- To assist the HoPM by promoting Chambers to professional clients.
- To manage the promotion of Chambers via the media.
- To manage and promote engagement with legal associations, charities and NGOs to further the ethos and business of Chambers.

The above tasks will include:
- Identifying newsworthy cases and issues upon which Chambers may wish to engage, including through liaising closely with members of Chambers and the Practice Management Team (PMgT) to identify notable cases and issues upon which we may wish to engage.

- Engaging barrister members and pupils to produce high quality training and promotional material for the website and social media, including content production such as webinars, podcasts and vlogs.

The Role:
The Chief Officer will lead and manage Citizens Advice St Helens (CASH) while developing and implementing strategic and operational plans. Responsible for delivering strategic development through the effective management and development of services, the Chief Officer will build strong and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders at a strategic, national, regional, and local level.
