In the last few years Mind's Corporate Partnership team has seen significant growth, delivering £7m+ income in FY22/23. Mind has strategic, Charity of the Year and commercial partnerships with companies across a range of sectors.

We are looking for an experienced and creative partnerships officer, to join our high performing and fast paced team at an incredibly exciting time. You will be managing and supporting a varied and interesting range of partnerships including existing and brand-new partnerships.

The Corporate Partnerships team consists of Partnerships Management, Planning and Development and New Partnerships team. This role reports into a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer.

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

As a skilled relationship officer, you'll work with your manager to provide first-rate partnership management, developing creative fundraising and engagement plans to excite and inspire your team. You will work to deliver outstanding donor led stewardship and activate campaigns to generate income. You will work collaboratively with staff across Mind, together with other stakeholders and external contacts to maximise income and other opportunities for Mind.

Working both independently and with support from your line manager:

-Steward, renew and grow a portfolio of corporate partnerships at Mind, effectively planning, developing and delivering the partnerships to maximise income and wider benefits for Mind.

-Develop and implement a fundraising and engagement plan to maximise income and added value over the course of partnerships, deliver donor-focused stewardship so partners want to stay with Mind.

-Collaborate with internal teams to maximise potential and deliver mutually beneficial partnerships, e.g. communications, celebrities and PR, pro bono and gift in kind, lived experience, finance, events, services and wider engagement

-Adapt and promote Mind's core campaigns and activities to partners to engage partners with our cause and deliver excellent stewardship, working with the Planning and Development team

-Lead or assist with the creation of innovative fundraising initiatives, assets and materials to engage and inspire our partners

-Report back on how our partners' support has made a difference, demonstrating a clear understanding of the breadth and depth of Mind's work and the projects they're supporting.

-Track and monitor income and expenditure budgets to ensure income targets are met, flagging any variances to your line manager in good time. Work efficiently with Finance and Supporter Care to deliver accurate reporting.

-Work with your manager and Corporate Partnership team leadership to develop and deliver effective leadership stewardship plans

-Work with your manager to manage risk in new and existing partnerships and to ensure that Mind's corporate policy is adhered to.

-Work with your line manager to research and help develop proposals and presentations for potential corporate partners and renewals, working with the New Partnerships team.

-Assist with the organisation of events connected with the Partnerships fundraising team, and with practical tasks for other departmental events, as required.

-To work closely with Corporate Partnerships Officers across the three sub teams in Partnerships Management and wider team colleagues to share best practice, resource and learnings, and where necessary, support with partnerships

-Represent the Partnerships team in appropriate working groups, workshops and/or meetings/other events as directed.

-To undertake other duties that may from time to time be necessary, that are compatible with the nature and grade of this post.

We are looking for an Events Fundraising Officer for an incredible mental health charity to play a pivotal role in the Community and Events Fundraising teams strategic objectives.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week in the either the London or Cardiff office. There is a permanant role available and there may be a 12 month contract with the team also.

The Role
Project Management: Deliver fundraising activity and supporter journeys from beginning to end, from writing briefs, working with creative agencies/freelancers, to collating results.

Data Analysis: Use data and insight to inform your work, to evaluate your projects and inform future activity, producing high quality analysis reports for activities.

Budget Management: Manage timely payment of invoices, including raising/requesting POs accurately and tracking expenditure to ensure activities are within budget.

Relationship Management: Attend supporter led and third-party events to help enhance supporter experience and deepen relationships.

The Candidate
Volunteer Managment: Experience and a proven track record of managing volunteers to undertake a fundraising activity and exceed their targets.

Data and Insight: Ability to interpret and analyse data and use insight to improve performance and help inform future strategies.

Project Management: Excellent project management skills, including managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Communication skills: An ability to deal with people at all levels and in all walks of life, on the telephone, face-to-face and in written communication.

Location: Birmingham/hybrid

Hours: Full and part-time opportunities available. 19 or 30 hours per week, with 1 home working day or 38 hours per week with 2 home working days.

Salary: Untrained ISVA: £29,777 pro rata, accredited ISVA: £31,365 pro rata

The Role

You will provide support as an ISVA for children and young people (CYP). You will offer compassionate, confidential, support to CYP of all genders, who have been subjected to sexual violence and abuse. Some of the work will be providing specialised wrap around support to children and their families where the child has been, or is currently being sexually exploited (CSE support). You will provide information about reporting processes; support CYP who have reported to the police; provide emotional support to CYP when they give their evidence in court and provide information about other options, such as civil action and Criminal Injuries Compensation.

An approved and accredited ISVA qualification is preferable for this post, and will start at the accredited salary rate. However, candidates who demonstrate and live the organisations values (bold-believing-big hearted), and have a willingness to work towards ISVA accreditation will also be considered.

About You

Ideally, you will have previous or current experience within a specialist rape and sexual abuse organisation, supporting children and young people’s (CYP) victims/survivors of sexual violence and abuse.

You will also have experience of:

• Supporting 13-16 year olds, a group at high risk of sexual violence, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation and sexual coercion.
• The impacts of sexual violence and abuse
• Working pro-actively, and advocating for adult survivor voices and needs
• Working with a range of agencies
• Child safeguarding issues, child sexual exploitation (CSE), legislation and best practice
• Understanding of the need and ability to maintain professional notes and records of their interactions and interventions with clients

Open 365 days a year and operations from 9AM to 11PM, the Access Line provides support for those struggling with their mental health or experiencing a crisis. Help Counselling is a small Mental Health charity providing one-to-one counselling, both in person and online to adults over 18.  We are also a well-established clinical training placement provider for trainee counsellors and psychotherapists studying with prestigious training organisations in London.

About Help

Help Counselling is well-established Mental Health Charity with a heritage of over 50 years. We provide training placements for clinical supervisors, counsellors and psychotherapists who need to gain clinical experience to qualify (or further qualify) and be registered with one of the industry professional bodies such as, BACP or UKCP. For ethical reasons, the work trainee counsellors / psychotherapists do is unpaid, i.e., they must volunteer their time.

This volunteer model enables Help to fulfil its charitable aim of providing low-cost counselling services. It can take between 3-5 years to qualify, and our training placements are for minimum of 12 months meaning we can also provide clients with long-term help. Having consistence and continuity plays a pivotal role in building a safe, therapeutic, and trusting alliance between the counsellor and client. 

The blend of low-cost and long-term talking therapy is much needed in a time of increasing demand for mental health support and increasing complexity of presenting issues.

About the job

The purpose of this role is to manage the daily administrative operations and a small administration team of 2 people. The objective being to ensure that we meet our monthly targets, are compliant with the requirements of BACP, run efficiently and deal with exceptions in a timely, ethical, and effective manner.

Currently our client volumes are between 250-350, we have approximately 90 counsellors and clinical team of approximately 20. 

We operate a number of cloud-based IT systems and have outsourced HR and Finance functions.

Key responsibilities

Team management
Directing the team to make sure work is scheduled, fully completed and managed efficiently.

Line managing and coaching team members to achieve their objectives and develop their skills, confidence and abilities. 
Systems management.

Information review, reporting and continuous improvement.

Create, review and report on operational data and use this information to solve potential problems or strengthen business performance.

Stakeholder management

Provide a point of escalation and decision-making for queries arising from clients, counsellors, supervisors, training organisations and other stakeholders.

The Candidate

Education & experience: 5-6 years’ administrative, operations, customer service and supervisory experience, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector.  

Skills:

· Ability to analyse information and develop practical solutions.
Planning, critical thinking, problem solving, and task and time management skills.

· Interpersonal, line management, coaching, and verbal and written communication skills.

· Technical expert on MS Office suite and hands-on experience of CRM and / or clinical management system.

About the role

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Manager with a passion for relationship building and service sales. Someone who can actively engage and work with our existing client portfolio and win new business through formal tendering opportunities to ensure VoiceAbility remains a provider of choice.

In this new role, you will sit in the Business and Strategy directorate working proactively with external stakeholders and colleagues from across the organisation to ensure that we grow our portfolio of contracts, re-win existing business and advise clients of new services. You will be doing a mixture of new business sales and account management of existing services.

This position is a full-time, 35 hours a week, permanent contract with a starting salary between £39,000 - £46,500 per annum depending on skills and experience. In this position, you will play an important role in helping us to further understand the links between money, mental health problems and gambling harms and work with firms and stakeholders to develop practical solutions that lead to real change.

The full-time equivalent salary is either £41,283 at the Senior Officer level or £32,915 at the Officer level.

This role can be offered as London-based or remote (with twice-monthly travel to the London office) and either full-time (37.5 hours over 5 days) or part-time (minimum 30 hours over 4 days a week).

Role purpose

We are looking for maternity cover for a full-time counsellor role on our Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) counselling service, Mind My Home. The service offers SFBT to adults (18+) with low to moderate mental health needs.

We are looking for experienced candidates with post graduate qualification in CBT, Counselling or Psychotherapy and accreditation from a relevant professional body e.g. BACP (Registered member MBACP).

Due to the nature of the work, if successful, you will need to have an up-to-date DBS check completed prior to undertaking unsupervised client work.  

Place of work

Counselling sessions will take place face-to-face, virtually, and via telephone, so you will need to travel across Spelthorne and the tri-borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, Ealing, and Hounslow, and have the option to work remotely.

 

Key Responsibilities
 

• Facilitating the 8 sessions (7+1 assessment) of SFBT for new referrals.
• Assisting in the triage and booking of SFBT appointments.

 

Training

Training will be provided and, as part of the Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing, and Hounslow Mind induction the following training will be compulsory:

• Safeguarding of vulnerable adults
• Mental health awareness
• Equality and diversity
• Health and safety

Essential Knowledge and Experience

•  3+ years’ experience (Required)
• BACP or HCPC Registration
• Receiving clinical supervision
• Experience counselling adults (18+) using CBT and SFBT
• Excellent written communication.
• Experience recording using a database

I am a social media expert who thrives on planning, creating and delivering high quality content across Rethink Mental Illness’s and Mental Health UK’s social media channels (Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube).

I disseminate our messages and information to key audiences through clear and engaging social media posts that are tailored for different networks. I monitor the performance of our posts and I am proactive in incorporating best practice to ensure that our posts are well received by our audiences, and that our presence on our social media channels grows.

I regularly collaborate with colleagues across both charities, and the other founding charities of Mental Health UK, and key partners to create compelling and inspiring content.
