A rare opportunity has arisen to join our caring and experienced day centre team as a driver and support worker. You will be driving clients to and from their homes each day in our minibus and then working with them at the centre during the day.

You will be assisting older people and/or vulnerable adults to improve or maintain their overall wellbeing and stay independent for longer whilst enabling them to retain, gain or regain independence.

Could you help

· To provide assistance with personal care and support, daily living tasks or with activities to clients within our day centre.

· To drive clients to and from their homes and the day centre.

Both full-time and part-time roles are available.

Please note that a clean driving licence is essential for this role. You will need a D1 driving licence or we can train you to drive one of our mini-buses.

Bath Welcomes Refugees (BWR) is a small charity established in 2016 by volunteers with the initial intention of supporting Syrian Refugees. Since then, there have been growing crises across in the world, Afghanistanand Ukraine being the most significant recently. 

We provide a wide range of support to those seeking refuge and to make a new life in Bath and the surrounding area. Our servicesinclude providinglanguage tuition , arranging for their education, help setting up homes andproviding other support services to enable them to live independently and settle into the local community.

Whilst we work with other local charities and agencies to provide the support needed by an ever-growing number of refugees and asylum seekers BWR depends on its 250 volunteers and their enthusiasm, invaluable expertise, experience and dedication to provide a range of support to those seeking refuge and to make a new life in Bath. 

BWR is looking to recruit a part time Volunteer Coordinator on an initial one-year contract. Reporting to the Operations Officer you will be responsible for recruiting, overseeing induction, training as well as the day-to-day coordination and supervision of our volunteers. 

To be successful in this position, you will need to be 

Empathetic with BWR’s aims, non-judgemental and flexible around working times.

Have the ability to develop relationships with volunteers, clients and other stakeholders, be resourceful, collaborative and enjoy working with others with diverse experiences and backgrounds. 

You should be able to work remotely on your own initiative as well as being a team player working in a potentially high-pressure environment. You will be highly organised, able to manage and prioritise your own workload, be a good communicator and IT literate. 

Ideally your experience will include

• Working with volunteers in the charity, not-for-profit sectors.
• Recruiting, training and managing volunteers.
• Supporting and developing volunteers in their roles. 
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Working with CRM databases.
• An understanding of the data protection requirements in respect of volunteers and the organisation as a whole.

Outline of the Role

 You will be the key volunteer contact, recruiting, co-ordinating training, carrying out background and DBS checks and supporting volunteers in their various roles across the organisation to enable BWR to meet its aims.

• You will work with and provide support to the Operations Officer, Team Leaders, the Refugee and Asylum Seeker Support Coordinator and to ensure we provide appropriate resources to support our families and individuals to meet their individual specific needs. 
• Assess the suitability of volunteersin their allotted volunteer role, in conjunction with the Team leader, prior to the end of their probationary period and identify the need for additional training or other support required for the volunteer to be successful in their role.
• Provide information about the work of BWR to potential volunteers and promote volunteering in the wider community to identify potential volunteers.
• Maintaining our Case Management System.
• Liaising with the Communications Team in relation to the website and other digital communications in respect of volunteer activity.
• This is an initial one-year contract, with hybrid working (office and home). The role will require flexibility to attend meetings, liaising with refugee families and asylum seekers either during the day, evening or at weekends within the Bath and surrounding area. 

The role is based on 29 hours per week with a pro rata salary of £25-27k full time equivalent (commensurate with experience).

The role will require an enhanced DBS check.

The Marketing & Communications Officer will be responsible for the day to day marketing functions, with the aim of increasing the profile and understanding of the organisation within the town of Oswestry and wider communities of Shropshire and the Welsh borders, along with supporting the strategic development of this valued organisation.

Main Duties:

1. To be responsible for the implementation and ongoing development of the organisation’s Marketing plan.

2. Working alongside the Qube staff team develop and implement marketing plans with each department to ensure a consistent and professional approach to the marketing of the organisation.

3. Management of the organisation’s website, including ongoing development of the site, regular content updates and reporting of analytics to the officer’s line manager.

4. To be responsible for regular and relevant social media content on a wide variety of platforms, along with the monitoring of all sites and responding to queries and questions that are raised through the sites.

5. To develop and manage brand guidelines on behalf of the organisation and to ensure that all staff, trustees and volunteers adhere to the guidelines when representing the organisation.

Our Good Neighbours Scheme offers befriending and companionship face to face.  Our Telefriends Service supports people to stay connected and offers a friendly listing ear over phone.  Both services are delivered with the support of our wonderful volunteers. 

The successful candidate will: 

• Answer the telephone line and be the first point of contact for enquiries from clients and referrers. 

• Be the administrator for the data base system in use which currently is Charity Log, Record details of client and referrer interactions and have the ability to produce statistics. 

• Support the Managers of the service with a range of admin support

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll proactively create development opportunities with individuals, corporate partners, granting giving trusts / foundations, and community groups. You'll oversee the Development Assistant and Development Volunteers to grow a volunteer development team, bringing our cause to life and building lasting support from within our local community.

Main Duties:

● Create development strategies which identify and deliver resources to enable the charity to carry out its ambitious strategic objectives, toward achieving its Vision and Mission.

● Identify and build good relationships with key individuals and corporate decision makers, securing them as development partners who go on to resource the Charity’s work.

● Develop, monitor and manage a development portfolio capable of maintaining charity income levels in excess of £1M per annum. You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked, and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.

● Line-manage the Development Assistant to support and deliver the Charity’s development outcomes. Including work-planning, supervision and support.

o Support the Development Assistant to create Community development assets, which enable community groups to engage with and provide resources for the Charity, such as charitable fundraising events.

o Support the Development Assistant to develop strong individual donor relations with regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals alongside establishing the associated data and systems; growing supporters.

o Together with the Development Assistant, work with and support external consultants to help secure income from grant giving trusts and foundations.

o Together with the Development Assistant, develop a team of volunteers who can support the work of the Charity’s development function.

● Forge strong relationships with colleagues across the Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. As part of a network ‘learning set’, you and your team will proactively take advantage of training and skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.

Carers Manchester Contact Point (CMCP) is the first point of contact for unpaid carers seeking information, advice and support to help them with their caring role.

The service delivers a free confidential helpline for carers weekdays (Monday – Friday, currently 10am – 4pm).

The aim of this role is to be part of a team providing a comprehensive information, advice and support service to carers in Manchester  

The post holder will work alongside colleagues from Gaddum and potentially other organisations to be the first contact in a busy service providing advice via a telephone advice line and managing referrals made through digital sources. They will provide information and advice immediately where possible and refer more complex issues to the appropriate agencies delivering the Manchester Carers Pathway.

We’re looking for a motivated individual with an eye for detail and accuracy to join our growing team at Basis Yorkshire as Financial Admin Assistant. Basis are a unique and vibrant small charity working with women who sex work and women young people being sexually exploited. We need a new member of staff to support us processing regular financial transactions of the charity and supporting the Finance Manager to ensure the organisation is able to monitor its financial risk and compliant with financial procedures in close collaboration and supervision by the Finance Manager.

• Produce and send invoices for payments owed and monitoring of payments
• Reconcile income from bank statements with invoices (credit control)
• Log incoming invoices and other expenditure onto accounting system
• Monitor credit card expenditure including matching up with invoices
• Responsibility for petty cash float and input into the Fin. Administration system
• Support the completion of funding reports and preparation of budgets for funding proposals
• Supporting the wider finance and admin team incl dealing with general enquiries

The role of the Outreach & Development Worker is to ensure carers of all ages and backgrounds are aware of their rights and know how to receive support from Gaddum and other services they need at the right time for them.

The job holder will provide outreach & support sessions, deliver groups and events for carers and other relevant partners across Salford. Creating exciting new opportunities for carers through networking and building partnerships.

The role will focus on the outreach provision, being based in different locations across Salford including hospitals, community venues, mental health settings and others accessed by people with caring responsibilities. The role will include supporting the continued development of the service, assisting with the creation of resources and training. The role will also support our involvement offer; ensuring carers are at the forefront of service change and service delivery.
