To be successful as the Philanthropy Manager you will have proven experience in building and securing relationships with individuals capable of giving gifts of a four, five or six figure level. This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices 1-2 days per week. The salary for this role is £45,000.

Prospectus is excited to be supporting St Luke’s Hospice. The hospice’s mission is to provide the highest standards of individualised care for people with life-limiting conditions, palliative and end of life care needs, and their families, living in Basildon and Thurrock districts.
Reporting to the Head of Donor Acquisition and Retention (HODAR) and working within the Fundraising team, the Legacy and In Memory Lead is responsible for managing implementation of the Hospice’s legacy (gifts in Wills) and in memory strategies and developing annual delivery plans. The post holder will strategically plan and deliver promotional and stewardship activity, as well as ensuring provision of an excellent supporter experience, to achieve budget net income across these income streams and grow our active support base, including numbers of known supporters who would consider or have already pledged a gift in their Will to the Hospice.
The Legacy and In Memory Lead will work closely with the Individual Giving Lead to ensure appropriate coordination of planned activities involving existing and prospective individual giving, legacy and in memory audiences. The post holder will also work closely with the HODAR to help inform the development of departmental strategies.
The successful candidate will have significant demonstrable and relevant experience of in memory and/or legacy fundraising and developing in memory products. You will have experience in using a variety of on and offline channels to deliver successful marketing campaigns to both acquire and develop donors. You will have demonstrable experience of managing targets and income and expenditure budgets.
This is a permanent position with flexible hybrid working, based 4 days from their Essex offices. The salary is £28750.42 to £37,293.98 depending on experience.

· Has experience of working in or with the not-for-profit sector and housing sector.

· Is resourceful, practical with an approach to problem-solving, with the ability to plan, prioritise and maintain efficiency during periods of pressure and high volume of work
You will have advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Sage Payroll software and of the benefits system, tax credits and universal credits.
Previous experience of the following would be an advantage, but is not essential as training can be provided:

Job Title: Individual Giving and Gifts in Wills Manager
Location: London, ideally office based
Salary: £38,000 per annum (inclusive of London weighting)

About the organisation
The Cardinal Hume Centre supports families and young people facing poverty and homelessness, striving for a society where everyone has a safe place to live and the opportunity to thrive. Annually assisting over 1300 individuals, the Centre plays a crucial role in combating homelessness and poverty, particularly in Westminster.
The fundraising team are sociable, inclusive, incredibly passionate and high-performing, with exceptional leadership; they have seen impressive recent growth with an annual income in the region of £2m.
The Role
This is a permanent role, based in London, requiring a minimum of two days a week in the office. It comes with a salary of £38,000 p/a (inclusive of London weighting). They have a brilliant benefits package including 28 days holiday (incl Bank Holidays and increasing after two years of service); BrightSpot training access; cycle to work scheme and 6% employer pension contribution.
This role involves managing the Individual Giving (IG) and Legacy income pipelines, overseeing expenditure required to raise income, and providing monthly monitoring while using data analysis to evaluate fundraising results. Additionally, it requires the development and implementation of strategies to retain, recruit, and acquire new supporters aligned with the values of the Cardinal Hume Centre as well as an ability to provide excellent stewardship ensuring donors receive a personalised and warm donor experience.

Responsibilities:
- Manage Individual Giving (IG) and Legacy income pipelines
- Oversee expenditure for fundraising initiatives
- Provide monthly monitoring and data analysis of fundraising results
- Develop strategies to retain, recruit, and acquire new supporters
- Ensure excellent stewardship to deliver a personalized donor experience
Requirements:
- Proven success in Individual Giving fundraising
- Proficiency in fundraising databases (e.g., ThankQ) and data analysis
- Experience in supporter care and stewardship programs
- Strong content production skills for digital and print materials
