We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, solution focussed finance professional to join our central team as Finance Manager. Used to taking day to day transaction processing in your stride, you’ll use your experience to support preparation of the management accounts and be part of ensuring that we have the business information needed for decision making across the charity. ACCT UK launched its new name and brand in 2021 and we are now seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager to continue the delivery of our engagement programme. We have been at the forefront of adoption services for over 60 years, working with local authorities across the country.  With our outstanding rating with Ofsted, we work with a high degree of flexibility and innovation and with a range of adopters from all backgrounds and provide a range of Adoption Support services to families to support them on their adoption journey. 

We are delighted to have secured funding to set up and establish a robust impact and data collection process and database so that clear outcomes can be measured and collected for the different areas within our adoption support services. This is a new role and the postholder will play a key part in delivering on this work.

Working alongside Adoption Support colleagues, the Database Officer will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the database, ensuring data is kept up to date as well as inputting, monitoring and evaluating data and service user details.  They will also contribute to the collection of feedback and case studies from service users.

The Database Officer will produce comprehensive and tailored reports using both qualitative and quantitative data, derived from the new monitoring and evaluation system.  These evidence-based reports are produced for a variety of audiences and will contribute to evidencing the effectiveness of PACT’s adoption support services.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in an administrative support role, with database and/or data capture administration experience.  To succeed in this role, you will be proficient in producing reports from a database with a keen eye for accuracy and detail and have strong data analysis skills with an ability to derive meaningful insights.

About the role
Save the Children has an ambitious strategy, which requires us to take and manage an appropriate level of risk, often in complex environments, in order to improve the lives of the most marginalised children and communities that we work with. We are a large, complex charity and risk touches every part of the organisation and all aspects of what we do.

This is a new role within our General Counsel's Division and you will work with a wide variety of specialist teams across SCUK (e.g., Safeguarding, Legal, Health & Safety) who investigate incidents reported through SCUK's incident reporting and case management IT system (IRCM system).

You will act as the product owner for the system and will be the main point of contact with the software provider, responsible for ensuring that the system is configured and operating effectively to meet business needs and ensure that we can maximise use of the incident data.

A key objective for this new role will be to develop insightful reports and dashboards that help us analyse and monitor incident data relating to key areas of risk in SCUK's work, for example safeguarding, fraud, and health and safety. The aim will be to develop reporting and analysis that can identify trends and root causes to help us learn from incidents and improve the ways in which we respond to risks.

Key accountabilities will include:

Act as Product owner of SCUK's incident reporting and case management IT system (IRCM system):

• Responsible for the overall management of the system and ensuring that it is configured and operating effectively;
• Collaborate with specialist teams (e.g. Safeguarding, Fraud, Health & Safety) to understand business needs, gathering feedback on issues and functionality requirements, and exploring solutions and improvements;
• Manage the relationships with the ICRM software provider, SCUK technology team, and specialist teams to support the ongoing use of the system and to coordinate system updates and improvements;
• Review how we are utilising the system and the current licensing arrangements and make recommendations to optimise efficiency and cost effectiveness;
• Ensure training and user guides are available for new users and communicate system functionality updates to all users;
• Maintain high standards of data protection compliance in the configuration and use of the system through the completion and maintenance of privacy impact assessments;
• Develop mechanisms to monitor data quality for consistency and accuracy.

Incident analysis and reporting:

• Use appropriate data analytical tools such as Excel and Power BI to enable regular analysis of incident data to detect and monitor trends, including the proactive identification of emerging areas of risk and their causes;
• Develop clear and user-friendly reporting formats, such as dashboards and trend analysis, tailored to different audiences, including the Executive Leadership Team, the Audit and Risk Committee, and specialist teams;
• Convert data into actionable intelligence that enables the organisation to learn from incidents and highlights areas for improvement.
   

Reporting and case management processes:

• Monitor data quality from incident reports and liaise with specialist teams and incident reporters to ensure information is accurate and complete;
• Carry out initial triage of new incident reports, ensuring they are allocated to the correct specialist teams;
• Ensure mechanisms for reporting incidents through the IRCM system continue to meet the needs of incident reporters and specialist teams, as well as the teams managing regulator and donor reporting requirements;
• Track timely progress of cases to closure in line with agreed protocols

Stakeholder communication:

• Develop a communications plan to promote awareness around incident reporting throughout the organisation and relevant external stakeholders
• Manage the incident reporting and case management Sharepoint site and intranet pages, ensuring the provision of helpful and up to date information about incident reporting and investigation processes and procedures
• Act as focal point for promoting awareness of incident reporting as an important part of protecting people and assets, and in doing so contribute to a culture of openness and learning;
• Coordinate regular meetings for system users from specialist teams to share IRCM system knowledge and best practice, discuss common issues, trouble-shoot and monitor case management Key Performance Indicators;
• Assist with the timely completion of incident reports for institutional donors such as FCDO and other relevant external agencies/regulators

About you
You will need to be self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently, whilst also enjoying teamwork and able to work collaboratively with a diverse range of internal stakeholders across SCUK in order to understand business needs and develop appropriate solutions.

As the key point of contact for system users, providing training and guidance, and managing user access you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will also build awareness around incident reporting processes and responsibilities with staff and volunteers throughout SCUK, helping to ensure that reporting is integrated in all SCUK's programmes.

We are looking for a highly motivated Director of Training to take over strategic leadership of the Reprezent Training Programme. You’ll build on our existing model to develop and finance a full calendar of training delivery, working alongside the existing team of trainers and station staff to maximise the potential impact on our beneficiaries. Our programme has provided life-changing opportunities to thousands of previous trainees, both within and outside of the media industry, and this role would give you the chance to put your own unique spin on our established and well-loved brand.

Who We Are

Reprezent is a not-for-profit social enterprise and specialist youth development organisation. Our award-winning approach helps young people to realise their full personal potential by providing training and development programmes that enable them to jumpstart their careers and develop a core suite of social, emotional and broadcast skills. We have been a pivotal stepping stone for hundreds of artists and broadcasting presenters aspiring to break into the mainstream over the last two decades, including Stormzy, Munya Chawawa, Jorja Smith and Jamz Supernova, and have helped thousands more young people to meet other personal development goals.

At the helm of our operation is Reprezent Radio, a dynamic youth-led community radio station based in South London. Since 2010 the station’s hallmark has been empowering young voices and championing the narratives of diverse and underrepresented communities, and as a result many of our beneficiaries are those deemed ‘hardest-to-reach’ (young black South Londoners, early school leavers, second generation immigrants).

Our unique training model combines in-person training courses with work experience placements at the station, resulting in a cohesive programme of entry-to-advanced level training provision and an active waiting list of over two thousand people.

Location

This role is a hybrid position, working both from home and with regular attendance required at our office/training space in Peckham and our station headquarters in Brixton.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Executive Team to develop a Sustainable Growth Strategy for our training department. This should contain concrete plans for income generation and beneficiary impact KPIs for the short, medium and long term. This process will involve:

  • Strategic analysis of competitors and market need.

  • Critical evaluation of existing frameworks and assets.

  • Researching available grants and fundraising opportunities.

  • Exploring other revenue opportunities through networks and brand partnerships.

• Once the Sustainable Growth Strategy has been drawn up, management of its implementation and ongoing development. This will include:

  • Writing and developing bids to appropriate funders and corporate partners.

  • Undertaking dynamic reviews of the programme after each major round of delivery, reviewing trainee feedback and outcomes and adapting the provision accordingly.

  • Developing new offerings to meet market need.

  • Overseeing work experience placements within the radio station, ensuring that the progress and wellbeing of beneficiaries is monitored and developed.

  • Optimising the use of available facilities.

• Overseeing the end-to-end delivery of funded projects, from application through to evaluation.

• Line managing the training team.

Our specialist youth support service for young people in Northamptonshire delivers early intervention and structured treatment to young people to build understanding and raise awareness of substance related harm. We recognise the correlation between vaping and young people developing harmful habits and are determined to do something about it. Right now, we’re looking for an energetic and proactive individual to take on this exciting new role that will involve creating a vaping prevention programme. It’s primarily a training/education role, but there’s also a practitioner related aspect to it, with the key stakeholders being schools/colleges/education providers. We’ll rely on you to deliver accredited training to education professionals, run interactive workshops with young people, deliver face-to-face and virtual awareness sessions with parents/carers and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the ongoing improvement and success of the programme.

To succeed, you’ll need a professional qualification in health/social/youth and community care, or experience of working in the addictions field, plus a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent. You’ll also need proven experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and working with health professionals, and a track record of engaging effectively with clients. A willingness to work with cognitive behavioural interventions and the Model of Change framework is essential to, as is familiarity with primary, secondary and outreach settings. Flexible in approach, you’re great at writing client records and reports and fulfilling data requirements, have good office IT skills and are as comfortable working independently as you are being part of a team.

The Major Giving Department at the NSPCC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to become part of the Statutory Team, securing significant income from national, devolved and local government, research grant-makers and commercial tenders.

The Senior Public Sector Development Manager will work with the Lead for Public Sector Development, the Associate Head of Philanthropy, another Senior Public Sector Development Manager and two Public Sector Development Managers towards a shared income target of around £5 million per annum. These funds will create ground-breaking NSPCC projects that support millions of children, and help prevent abuse across the UK.

The recruited fundraiser will work at both a national and local level to lead on securing six and seven-figure grants to help the Statutory team achieve its annual income target. Working across the charity, they will build relationships with senior stakeholders, and source and share information with funders through engaging written materials, phone conversations and face-to-face meetings. Alongside managing their own portfolio, they will think strategically and lead on maximising new public sector funding streams.

The Major Giving Department is open and supportive with an active social life. The wider Trusts & Statutory Team has grown considerably - increasing its annual income by more than £6 million since 2017/18. With bespoke training opportunities, room for significant development and growth, and the support of colleagues and resource teams, the role will provide the opportunity to make a positive change for children and families across the UK.

The successful candidate will have:

• A track record of successfully bidding for six and/or seven-figure donations

Partnerships

• Support with creating proposals and pitches to secure Brand, Corporate and Commercial Partnerships, with a strong focus on shared purpose and mutual benefit, to create successful long term strategic partnerships.

• Provide support with the event planning of major donor events, and attend in person to provide support of events on the day. 

Trusts and Foundations

•  Support with research and the successful completion applications to secure donations from a pipeline of identified Trusts and Foundations

Stewardship

•  Identifying new opportunities to create wow moments for donors and provide excellent stewardship of all major donors and partnerships.

General

• General administrative duties, including record meeting notes and actions, following up with partners, sending out of promotional materials, monitoring and responding to email enquiries, and taking telephones calls.

Do you have experience working with families and children aged 0-13, a good understanding of the needs of vulnerable families and a relevant vocational or academic qualification?

Welcare is recruiting an experienced Family Support Worker to deliver a broad-based preventative support service for families with children up to the age of 13 in partnership with schools, churches, the local authority and other agencies, in the London boroughs of Bromley and Greenwich.

You will be delivering practical and emotional support to enhance the life chances of children who have experienced domestic abuse and social isolation through one-to-one support and group work programmes.  The post requires working with families in person and online remote working.  The office base is in Community House, Bromley.

The Head of Programmes, forming part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and reporting directly to the CEO, is a critical role holding overall responsibility and management of Youth Realities’ programme delivery and development. 

Youth Realities currently runs four core programmes, underpinning our three outlined priority pillars: prevention, intervention and healing.

• Deepin Relationships - healthy relationships education in communities and schools 
• Young Women's IDVA Support - specialist, long term support for young survivors of abuse and violence in their close relationships 
• Deepin Dance - a weekly dance space for young women aged 16-25 who have survived relationship violence 
• Wellbeing Activities - regular community-based wellbeing workshops, trips and creative days for young people aged 11-25

The charity currently engages over 100 young people each year in intervention and healing activities, with an additional target of 1500 young people per year to be engaged in the Deepin Relationships programme through funding awarded from May 2024 - May 2026. 

The primary role of the Head of Programmes is to oversee the delivery, development and evaluation of all programmes, which will include direct line management of all delivery staff (currently seven).

Youth Realities is currently going through an exciting transitional period, as the current Founder and CEO is leaving the charity in August 2024 and a new CEO will be joining our excellent team. With both SLT members being new to the charity, this is a brilliant opportunity to bring fresh perspectives, energy and passion to Youth Realities, taking guidance from the knowledge and experience of the serving staff team. 

It will be critical that the first few months of this role are spent learning, exploring, listening to and working closely with staff and young people supported. Building strong staff relationships is crucial to the success of this role, to be able to truly understand how the charity operates as a small, grass-roots community provision.

About you and the role

The purpose of this role is to lead on our finance strategy, and ensure all of our systems, reporting and processes are helping to drive forward the charity and deliver on our objectives at scale. You will work closely with the Chief Executive and Directors to ensure that financial planning is effective and supported by accurate data analysis. You will report directly to Trustees as required and ensure that the highest standards of transparency and probity are maintained.

You will be joining the team during a period of growth in the size and complexity of our delivery. We currently have 20 employees and anticipate doubling in size within three years. You will have a crucial role in shaping our systems and processes to ensure we can scale effectively, both our existing programmes and a new membership-based programme that is in development. We’re looking for an experienced finance professional with an interest in effectively using technology and systems to drive efficiency, without compromising on accuracy or compliance.

You will support and mentor the Finance and Office Manager, ensuring that financial administration is carried out proficiently and in line with all legal and regulatory requirements, including ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all statutory filings are made accurately and on time. Your role will also encompass ensuring that we operate within legal & regulatory frameworks and stay up to date with changes in relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing a comprehensive financial strategy that supports the delivery of the charity’s objectives and activities

• Reviewing suitability of our current systems: Quickbooks for accountancy, Beacon CRM, PLEO for expenses management, Survey Monkey for data collection etc.

• Where necessary, identifying and implementing new software to ensure all systems and processes are robust, user friendly, deliver useful data analysis, integrate and/or improve automation

• Working closely with the Director of Transformations to translate the annual activity plan into an accurate organisational-level budget

• Advising the Chief Executive, team and Trustees, ensuring that benefits and risks of decisions are fully considered and fit with the overall financial strategy

• Oversee sound financial management and governance across the organisation

• Provide leadership and guidance to all things finance related, providing mentoring and support to the team

• Accountability for monitoring that the organisation’s services are, and will, run to budget, supporting budget holders and reporting promptly on risks

• Have ultimate oversight of the external audit and production of the statutory accounts, supported in delivery of this by the Finance & Office Manager

• Oversee production of management accounts and bespoke financial reports, including accurate forecasting, incisive analysis and accessible narrative commentary

• Support the Development team with financial submissions and other compliance areas (eg advising on and supporting with due diligence processes)

• Constantly seeking to develop and improve the organisation’s financial systems, policies and procedures to promote dynamic, best practice and up-to-date application of tools, systems and approaches

• Oversight of finance, governance and basic HR administration, supporting the Finance & Office Manager with high profile or complex queries, seeking specialist advice on financial or compliance matters as required

• Ensure the organisation’s compliance with charity law, in accordance with the Charity Commission in England & Wales

Skills & experience:

• You have interest and belief in our mission, to improve kids’ health through improving food and food education in schools

• You have full or partial qualification through an accredited accountancy body

• You have some experience in a senior finance role (eg Director, Head of, Management Accountant) in any sector, and some experience within a finance function in the 3rd sector (in particular familiarity with the Charity SORP and experience of administering restricted funds)

• You have experience of audit

• You enjoy a mix of leadership and rolling up sleeves to get hands on when the need arises

• You take a pragmatic and dynamic approach to robust financial management

• You can turn complex and dry data, into clear and engaging narrative

• You have project managed the implementation of new systems (accountancy / CRM / data)

• You are organised, methodical, strong on detail, and able to map out deadlines and plan ahead

We are looking for someone to join Coram’s ambitious and growing Impact and Evaluation team as a Research and Evaluation Officer. In this role you will use your research and evaluation skills to help improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

You will need experience of leading or supporting research or evaluation projects as well as being motivated, supportive, well-organised and willing to learn.
