Purpose of the role:

You will help form part of a UK-wide team of remote Helpline Advisors operating the only modern slavery specific helpline in the UK. After completing our training package for new Helpline Advisors (approximately four weeks) you will begin working as part of a collaborative and dynamic team responding to a variety of callers and contacts.

You will be answering incoming calls, making callouts, sending emails, drafting referrals to external agencies, and maintaining accurate data will be your day-to-day responsibilities.

You will contribute to a service that as well as providing information, advice and guidance to our service users, also helps create one of the largest non-governmental bodies of data on the scale of modern slavery in the UK which is used to influence strategy and policy at local, national and international levels.

You will provide trauma informed and person-centred information, advice, and guidance to a variety of caller types, including people in and out of exploitation, professionals, members of the public, and businesses.

Seasonal Worker Scheme (SWS) call handlers will be responsible for responding to a variety of forms of contact made through the SWS support line. You will work as part of a small but dynamic and friendly team responding to a variety of callers and contacts. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include answering incoming calls and contacts, making callouts, sending emails, drafting referrals to external agencies, and maintaining accurate data. You will form part of a triage service that will signpost callers and contacts to identified third parties who can deal appropriately with their enquiry. You will ensure all actions and data are recorded accurately and promptly to aid relevant follow up and close out of issues. You will be person-centred and deal with a variety of worker issues, including dealing with workers who may be in situations of exploitation. SWS call handlers will report directly to the Worker Wellbeing Manager within our Business Services Team.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

• More than 2 years post-qualified at graduate or post graduate level Counselling Diploma or equivalent [of two years minimum duration including personal counselling or psychotherapy].

Strategic communications leadership

· Acting as the brand guardian, oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of high-quality strategic communications, branding and media strategies aligned with WeProtect Global Alliance’s organisational objectives.

· Embed a global communications lens across the Alliance’s work, proactively identifying opportunities to amplify impact and reach priority audiences.

· Provide expert advice on positioning, proactive and reactive communications, and reputational management to shape the Alliance’s approach.

External communications & media

Purpose

Our Immigration Team works closely with Birmingham City University (BCU) to run the Immigration Law Student Clinic, a key source of free accredited immigration advice for people in Birmingham who cannot afford legal support.

The role involves supervising students as they research and prepare legal advice, coordinating day‑to‑day clinic activity, and supporting casework within CELC’s immigration team. You will recruit, train, and mentor students, ensuring they have an excellent student experience and helping them develop practical legal skills while ensuring clients receive an excellent service.

Responsibilities

Working closely with Birmingham City University the Law Clinic Supervisor will:

• Recruit and select students for involvement in the clinic
• Undertaking inductions with new students, in line with the Law Centre's Clinic practices ,including training on CELC systems and processes
• Develop and maintain student training manuals, policies, template letters, referral forms etc.
• Assess client cases prior to allocation to students
• Manage overall clinic calendar, allocating client cases to students

The Programme Manager will lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of Sounddelivery Media’s programmes. Job Title: Resettlement and Activities Worker

Location: Bedford, Please note that this service does not have complete step free access

Salary: £26,000 (full time equivalent)

Shift Pattern: 30 hours per week Monday to Sunday with shift patterns confirmed at the next stage. You may be required to work flexibly dependent on service and resident requirements.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Resettlement & Activities Coordinator to join our brand new service which is due to go live April 2026! This is an 11 bed, community based mental health service, offering short stay, trauma informed support. You will support our residents who are at risk of admission but can be supported outside of mental health hospital settings, by providing tailored support to them to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals, to live more fulfilled lives and independent living. You will play a major part in ensuring a safe, stable and secure accommodation setting which provides the right support to resident needs. 

You will lead on delivering high quality activities and programmes which work to support individual need, whilst providing practical support to residents who require help with finding and sustaining suitable accommodation and engaging with community based services such as councils, training providers, and local authorities. The purpose of the role is to create a sense of belonging and independence through activities and support planning. No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and meaningful work in a supportive team environment. 

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

• Planning and coordinating individual and group activities and sessions such as days out and visits, awareness days/weeks/months campaigns, cultural celebrations and other meaningful events.
• Delivering programmes that support residents’ goals, personal development, and reintegration.
• Developing and managing calendars of activities, events, and awareness campaigns to promote social skills, community engagement, and meaningful participation.
• Collecting information about activities and resident feedback and using this for continuous improvement.
• Running clinics, projects, and sessions, providing guidance, life skills support, and advice to residents as needed.
• Building good relationships with partners and stakeholders, identifying new opportunities and creating an accessible partner resource catalogue.
• Identify risks, safeguarding residents and take appropriate action. Maintain accurate records, reports, and administrative tasks.

About You

We are looking for someone who has a passion to support vulnerable people in making a change, supporting their rehabilitation and engaging activities, providing opportunities for them to make positive change to their lives. You will have a general understanding of mental health needs of people form different backgrounds. You will be a self motivated individual who is able to be proactive in managing your own time during busy or quiet periods to ensure productivity. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves. 

We are looking for:

• Experience in coordinating and/or delivering activities and programmes with people from various backgrounds
• Ability to provide advice, support and guidance to a team and residents on various areas, particularly around resettlements
• Ability to work creatively and encourage creativity in others
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders

SUDC UK is a national charity dedicated to funding research, raising awareness and supporting families affected by Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). Our team is passionate, warm, friendly and impact-driven.

SUDC is the sudden and unexpected death of a child aged 1-18 years where the cause of death remains unexplained despite a thorough investigation. 40 children are affected every year in the UK, more than young child deaths due to traffic accidents, fires or drowning and comparable to 1-2 seemingly healthy children dying every fortnight, often going to sleep and never waking up. 

As a specialist charity, SUDC UK informs, empowers and advocates for families when their child dies suddenly and unexpectedly. We operate nationally and have expertise in SUDC, bereavement support, the child death process, genetic investigation, SUDC research and medical screening.Founded by three bereaved parents, we have deep understanding of the impact of SUDC and loved children, and their families, are at the heart of all we do.

The purpose of this role is to lead and deliver our income generation and marketing strategy, growing sustainable income streams while increasing our profile, reach and impact. We’re looking for a passionate and confident Food and Farm Discovery Coordinator to inspire primary-aged children through hands-on food, farming and countryside learning. You’ll deliver engaging cooking, gardening and farm visit experiences, working closely with schools, farmers and food producers - particularly in areas of disadvantage.

What you’ll do

• Deliver Farm Discovery Days and the Food Discovery programme in schools
• Plan and lead farm visits, cooking and gardening sessions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools and farm hosts
• Manage session planning, equipment, health & safety and safeguarding
• Work independently as part of a supportive national team

Time commitment & pay

• Around 80–90 paid days per year (seasonal variation)
• £171.48/day for Food Discovery delivery
• £163.77/day for Farm Discovery delivery
• Plus expenses and mileage (45p per mile)
• Estimated annual earnings: £14,000–£15,000, with potential to grow

You’ll need

• Experience working with primary-age children and schools
• Confidence delivering hands-on cooking, gardening and outdoor learning
• Enthusiasm for food, farming and the countryside
• Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills
