The Role of Diocesan Housing Surveyor

We are looking for someone who can work alongside the Diocesan Property Manager, and Property Officer, to assist in the management of the Clergy Housing stock comprising of 160 houses across Coventry and Warwickshire.

The main responsibilities of the of Diocesan Housing Surveyor

 are:

• Inspect Clergy houses and assess repairs and improvements necessary in compliance with Coventry Diocese Clergy Housing Standards.
• Implement the recommendations of the property reports.
• Arrange property inspections and implement the required works with the agreement of the Property Manager.
• Arrange stock condition surveys.
• Address reactive repairs and ensure works are undertaken and completed in accordance with the Housing Standards.
• Prepare schedules of work and cost budgets, agree these with the Property Manager before tendering to approved contractors.

What we are looking for in a Diocesan Housing Surveyor:

· Driving Licence with access to own car

· Previous experience of managing small works contracts

· Working knowledge of residential building defects and their resolution

· Proven awareness of health and safety with regard to building management and works contracts.

· Being responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of properties whilst remaining within budgetary and time constraints

· Degree Level or relevant experience commensurate to the role

· Evidence for continuing professional development.

· Familiarity using a modern Property Management software package.

Overview:

• Working as part of the Trusts and Foundations department, you will help to deliver the objectives and income targets through your work with Trusts and Foundations.
• Reporting to the Head of Trusts and Foundations, you will work as part of a high-achieving, small but busy department.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the Head of Trusts and Foundations to achieve annual targets, including meeting a personal income target each year.
2. Create and deliver high-quality applications for grant funding for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and Hearing Link Services, creating a synergy of combined applications to maximise income for both areas of our work.
3. Investigate new projects that may be funded by applying for new restricted grants.
4. Develop relationships with colleagues in fundraising, dog operation team, senior staff, Hearing Dogs Trustees, external Trusts and Foundation managers and administrators.
5. Research the market and develop market knowledge. Establish new partnerships with Trusts, using all relevant and appropriate research techniques to understand their grant-giving criteria.
6. Write and produce compelling trust applications and update reports; to ensure all trusts funding applications are relevant, timely and produced to the highest standard.
7. Record all information on CRM, maintain records and keep records up to date, ensuring future actions are also recorded.
8. Excellent knowledge of database processes and ability to support the team with statistical information.
9. Create reports for income and ensure all templates are up to date.
10. Provide comprehensive funding information to Head of Trusts and Foundations and Director of Income Generation, and regular reporting and recommendations on future funding opportunities.
11. Account manage Trust and Foundation relationships, ensuring the trust receives updates and reports on time.
12. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy departments to identify opportunities to secure new donors, for example where a major donor may have their own family foundation or where Trusts can attend major donor events.
13. Work closely with the Prospect Research Manager to build a personal pipeline of new Trusts and Foundations.
14. Work closely with the Case for Support and Impact Manager to develop tailored cases and proposals and high-quality reporting with a focus on outcomes and impact. 

About You

Healthwatch was set up in 2013 to champion the rights of health and social care users, and hold the health and social care system to account for how well it engages with the public. During 2026/27 these services are preparing for transition while continuing to build on their legacy.

Healthwatch’s remit covers all publicly funded health and social care services for adults and children.

The Administrator / Finance Officer plays a key role in the smooth running of One Newham. Our coordinators plan, arrange and deliver a programme of activities shaped around the needs of the young people, making the most of local opportunities, from heritage sites and outdoor adventures, to sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and team challenges. These sessions help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.

Family days bring families together to create special memories and enjoy time with others who share similar experiences. The coordinator develops and facilitates activity days which involve the whole family and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections with others. Activities take place at outdoor centres, local heritage sites and museums, as well as organised beach days and community centre-based workshops and activities.

Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering with children and young people in education, health or social care, and have exceptional organisation and communication skills. 

The roles are 30 hours per week, working Wednesday to Saturday. In school holiday periods, more activities take place on weekdays (instead of Saturdays), so flexibility is needed.

You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

This is a part-time role (22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services.

The role will include overseeing and managing a fiscal year calendar and day-to-day operations, developing, and delivering events to a high standard and representing the organisation to stakeholders.

As BCA events are the front facing part of the charity it is important that all activities include the community at large and that the role of BCA is prominently understood.

Role Purpose

To create a series of front facing events that engage our residents and local businesses at all levels and across the neighbourhood whilst profiling BCA as the central hub of the community in Barnes and Mortlake

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management

• Oversee the BCA’s yearly Events Calendar as well as the day-to-day operation and delivery of all BCA events, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and adherence to policies and procedures.

• Secure funding for all key events from suitable sponsors

• Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation.

• Source, curate and liaise with exhibitors

• Generate a programme of external entertainment or Barnes Fair and Christmas Festival

• Liaise with Richmond Council and prepare necessary site plans and documentation

• Source and manage external contractors as required including but not limited to; Marquees, Staging, Security, PA systems, Generators and Battery Packs, Public Lavatories, First Aid and Ambulance Services, Rubbish Collection, Fun Fair equipment

• Participate in the recruitment and management of volunteers

• Oversee design and source of BCA merchandise

• Organise promotional banners and fliers

• Oversee PR and Social Media activity

• Organise BCA stands at all events

• Ensure robust data protection, safeguarding, and health and safety policies are maintained and followed by Staff, Trustees and Volunteers.

• Assist and help team members if and as required

Administration

• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including reporting to relevant authorities and stakeholders.

• Organise regular planning meetings with the Events Committee and prepare minutes

• Prepare comprehensive board pack reports for quarterly trustee board meetings.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Events Organiser with demonstrable ability to deliver high impact events

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills including financial controls.

• Ability to work on own initiative

• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.

Tearfund is looking for a part time Enquiries Officer on a fixed term basis for 12 months from June 2026 who is enthusiastic about serving those living in poverty by providing excellent customer service to our supporters. 

The successful candidate will be working on one of Tearfund's front lines providing a personal link and building relationships between our supporters and ourselves. You'll spend most of the day answering telephone calls from supporters, and also answering supporter queries by email, letter and on social media.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a desire to serve our supporters with professional excellence in a busy environment. They will set themselves high standards of working with speed and accuracy as they record information on our supporter database.

At Single Homeless Project, we believe every young person deserves the chance to build a life beyond crisis. As our Young Person’s Psychotherapist, you’ll play a vital part in making that happen. Working within our in house Psychotherapy team, you’ll provide one-to-one psychotherapy and co-produced psychoeducation groups for young people aged 16–25. Your work will focus on prevention, helping young people make sense of their experiences and build the tools to manage life’s challenges before they reach breaking point.

You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team offering a psychologically informed service - collaborating closely with support staff, managers and other professionals to create safe, empowering spaces where young people can explore their emotions, relationships and aspirations. From helping a young person understand their experiences of trauma, racism, poverty, family violence and parental substance to facilitating group discussions on understanding their emotions, assertiveness and boundaries in relationships.

About you: 

• Experience providing in-person psychotherapy sessions as a qualified Psychotherapist or Psychologist for a minimum of 2 years including substantial post-qualification experience with young people. 
• An understanding of complex support needs, including but not limited to mental health issues, complex trauma, substance use, youth offending and physical ill health, along with the potential barriers to engagement with services both residential and in the community. 
• An understanding of psychologically informed environments (PIE) and how service development can be achieved in collaboration with clients, staff team and service management. 
• Experience of facilitating team led clinical case discussion, providing staff psychological support and critical incident de-briefs.
• Experience of building trust with young people who may be wary of professionals and create a safe, supportive space. 
• A commitment to ensuring equality of access to psychological and psychosocial support to young people who face multiple systemic barriers, with the aim of involving young people in shaping their own support and outcomes. 
• You’re organised, communicate clearly, and committed to inclusive, anti-discriminatory practice in all you do. 
• BCP, BPS or UKCP registration or full BACP accreditation.
