About the role 

We are looking for an experienced Operations Officer to join our HR and Operations team.

You’ll help CASPA run smoothly, grow and adapt while supporting our neurodiverse community.

Working Pattern:21 - 28 hours per week.

What we expect from you

Working alongside the Head of Operations, CEO and department heads, your responsibilities will cover Shift.ms and its wholly owned subsidiary, realworld ms ltd, as follows:

Financial management

• Be the primary point of contact for our Treasurer, Accountant and External Auditor;

• Review and constantly improve processes and internal controls for finance;

• Lead the development of annual budgets and shorter/longer term forecasts as needed;

• Manage accounting, budget and cash flow,  and working with the CEO, develop cost reduction strategies as needed;

• Prepare monthly management accounts incorporating variance analysis of budgets vs. actuals and headline narrative;

• Manage monthly payroll with an external payroll provider;

• Draft consolidated statutory accounts for audit and lead the coordination of year-end audit;

• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for the Group and be the main point of contact for HMRC;

• Make recommendations for corporate gift aid donations based on performance and future forecasts for the subsidiary;

• Present finance updates in-person at quarterly board meetings normally held in London;

• Manage and lead FinCom meetings, typically held quarterly;

• Attend the trustee annual away weekend.

Bookkeeping 

• Lead the financial operations of the charity including recording transactions onto the finance system (Quickbooks), managing cashflow, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, processing of purchase invoices and supplier payments;

• Complete month end reconciliations as part of the preparation of monthly management accounts;

• Track, calculate and process intercompany recharges to ensure costs sit within the correct entity;

• Track and ensure correct treatment and reporting of restricted/unrestricted funds;

• Process employee, volunteer & trustee expense claims;

• Manage the relationship with an external payroll bureau, liaising with them to ensure payroll is processed accurately and paid on time;

• Support employee onboarding including obtaining details for payroll and pre employment checks.

Other 

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders on projects and reporting; 

• Track income receipts and projections for weekly income generation calls with heads of department;

• Process gift aid claims;

• Process incentive payments for realworld ms participants;

• Renew insurances.

Qualifications, skills and abilities (E= Essential D = Desirable)

• Be part or fully qualified with a professional accounting qualification ACCA, CIMA or ACA, with at least 2-3 years post qualification experience. (E)

• Employment history in a charity/3rd sector role (D)

• Good understanding of charity reporting requirements and Charity SORP (E) especially the technical application of income recognition requirements for the charity and its subsidiary

• Experience of VAT reporting (E) including an understanding of VAT recovery with respect to business and non business for charities, place of supply (overseas transactions)

About the Role

Our General Advice Team covers a range of different projects, in this role the Trussel Trust Foodbank Advisor will give advice face-to-face within in foodbank outreach locations and CAL offices across Liverpool. The post holder will need to be self-motivated, organised and flexible, delivering generalist level advice and information with the ability to travel across locations in Liverpool.

The primary purpose of this role is to Improve financial well-being through:

Living Well Health and Wellbeing Coordinator Role:

Referrals and assessment

• Triage and co-ordinate client referrals from a range of sources, primarily health and care, in conjunction with the Living Well Manager.  These can be for the Living Well service alone, or for “Living Well Plus” where additional support is given to those clients who may require hoarding or de-cluttering support

We are also hoping to launch our immigration advice service, providing guests with a first point of contact for their immigration needs and smooth referral pathways to specialist advice.

Finally, our OpenARMs programme will be launching workshops for our refugee and asylum seeker communities.

You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, especially Head of Advice at Sufra to support the implementation of new initiatives, and the expansion of our information and advice services to enhance our efficiency and impact.

The post holder will be a highly articulate and proactive individual with good welfare advice knowledge, 3+ years delivery experience in managing a charity team, strong service management skills, as well as experience managing staff and volunteers. About the Role

A stimulating and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Practitioner Psychologist with a Forensic background. You will work alongside the Group Psychological Lead and other members of the team within our Independent Approved Premises (IAP) to deliver psychological services to residents and staff. In this role, you will apply your skills and knowledge in building new teams and expand our operational delivery within our IAP. You will play a strategic role in our organisational growth with new services, with a focus on shaping service delivery; offering specialist advice, supervising assistant psychologists and postgraduate research.

Our IAP's support residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. They are given support and guidance to aid their reablement, resettlement and rehabilitation post prison. You will contribute towards them achieving goals necessary for their personal development and move on within the community. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing high quality psychological services, contributing to the delivery of Approved Premises aims as specified by the Ministry of Justice.
• Ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

 OASIS HUB BLAKENHALE

 PART TIME: 15 hours per week

FIXED-TERM CONTRACT: 18 months

SALARY: £10,533 for 0.3 FTE and £28,088 for 1FTE

We’re looking for an organised, people‑focused Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, support and coordinate volunteers across our community projects.

At Oasis Community Hub Blakenhale we provide a range of community activities including stay and play, food club, warm welcome space and adult education, community events and school holiday activities. Together, we aim to Creating places of belonging where we can connect with each other. Creating opportunities to volunteer and be change makers. Create a community we are proud of. Volunteers are at the heart of this work and the role of the volunteer co-ordinator will be a key part of this community.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, induct and match volunteers.
• Promote volunteering through events and local outreach.
• Provide ongoing support, supervision and admin for volunteers.
• Coordinate volunteers across hub activities.
• Support corporate/skills‑based volunteering and training sessions.

About You

• Experience supporting volunteers or working in a community setting.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Confident with Word and Excel.
• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience.

Business Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Manager to join the Team, in this key leadership role at the heart of the organisation.

Due to the nature of the role this post is only open to women: The Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1 applies.

Position: Business Manager

Salary: £36,000 per annum pro rata

Location: Sheffield/hybrid

Hours: 30–37.5 hours per week (to be agreed)

About the Role

The team care deeply about providing good, safe, specialist services to the community and to clients by providing inclusive, equitable support to all survivors of sexual violence in Sheffield.

You’ll work closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to keep things running day to day and to strengthen the infrastructure that make this life-changing work possible. You’ll lead across areas like finance, HR, governance, quality, facilities/IT, risk and data protection, and provide empowering and supportive line management to the Business Team and Counselling Team.

You’ll also deputise for the CEO on occasion, helping to provide steady leadership and continuity across the organisation.

About You

We’re looking for a woman who is proactive, organised and resourceful.  Someone who can bring calm, clarity and momentum, identify and prioritise what needs doing, and help people do their best work in a supportive, values-led culture.

Occupational requirement: This post is only open to women (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1). Enhanced DBS required. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

About the Organisation

The organisation provides critical support for survivors of sexual violence across Sheffield. Services include counselling, wellbeing programmes, and criminal justice support. As part of the team, you’ll join a forward-thinking, inclusive charity dedicated to empowering survivors and improving their lives.

A satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure will be required by the post holder. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
