We are seeking an experienced and diligent HR Administrator to provide HR admin support to the organisation. You will be responsible for all HR administration, including the production of HR paperwork, and serve as the day-to-day generalist HR contact for all employees. We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities. 

This is part-time fixed-term position, as we review the organisation’s needs in this area, and will be subject to review and possible extension at the end of six months.

As a small charity (c. 35 staff including part-time and casual workers), the role will require balancing practical tasks with more senior HR responsibilities. You'll be based in the office (a lovely rural setting near Twyford, Reading) for at least two days per week and, being situated within the rehabilitation centre, you will have daily contact with those men whom you are helping. They inspire and motivate us just as much as we seek to encourage and support them.

A Daylight Fundraiser will answer to and work alongside the CEO to convey the Daylight Vision and build relationship with key Christian figures. With guidance and information from other members of the team, the Daylight Fundraiser’s primary responsibility will be to research trust and grant funding opportunities, tailor applications to donors and nurture relationships in a way designed to inspire funding partners to take the gospel with us into UK prisons.

Daylight is a national charity currently predominantly funded by Churches and individual Christians, with a small but significant income stream from trusts and foundations.  Having recently re-visioned for a post COVID / intranet-in-prison age we recently celebrated our 20th Anniversary and are positioning for growth.

AFK is a national charity helping young disabled people develop their independence and find employment.  As part of this we provide bespoke travel training on London’s public transport network to and from school, college and work placements in the North London area.

We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible candidates to train and support young people to travel specified journeys safely and independently using public transport.

Overall Job Purpose

To train and support a young person to travel a specified journey safely and independently using public transport.  Record your observations and give feedback to the travel training coordinator, the young person and their family.  To take part in reviews of training as it progresses.

Working Conditions

• Casual working assignment with no minimum hours guaranteed

• Each assignment must be mutually agreed by both parties

Responsibilities

• Support a young person door-to-door as they travel on public transport.
• Familiarise yourself with the following documents –

1. Journey Plan – describes the route you and the trainee will follow, and the alternative route(s) if the need arises. 
2. Risk Assessment – outlines the support needs of the trainee, and risks and strategies to mitigate them.

• Record your observations using standardised forms and relay your observations to the travel training coordinator on a weekly basis.
• Allow the young person to learn independently and only guide, support or intervene when necessary (this will be included in your induction)
• Approach travel training in a positive manner by reinforcing achievements and viewing obstacles as opportunities to learn.  Discuss strategies and agree solutions with the young person, their family and the travel training coordinator.
• To contact the travel training coordinator immediately if there are any emergencies or unexpected situations.
• Ensure that the young person is trained to use the alternative route safely and independently.
• Ensure that the young person learns and/or knows how to contact parents or carers in case of an emergency
• Any issues or concerns must be raised with the travel training coordinator or the business development manager.

• Learn the support needs of the young person prior to training

The RSPCA York, Harrogate & District Branch is seeking to increase its fundraising activity in order to secure the funding neccessary to completely rebuild the York Animal Home. We are looking to bring on an experienced individual to design, launch and lead our capital campaign and raise the remaining funds needed to complete the project.

The Capital Campaign Lead will take overall responsibility for planning, leading and delivering the £5m capital appeal over the next few years. This includes developing the case for support, managing campaign phases, cultivating major donors and funders, and ensuring strong governance, reporting and stewardship throughout the campaign.

The York Animal Home was built in 1980 and no longer meets modern welfare, licensing or operational requirements. Demand for our services is rising sharply, while the complexity and scale of cases continues to grow. About the role

As the Grants Coordinator, you will work closely with the Team and Grants Coordinator to provide essential underpinning support for all aspects of the team's work, to ensure the effective delivery and recording of ABCT's grant-making programmes.

Key responsibilities

Grants Administration: Manage all aspects of the grants cycle, including applications, payments, reporting, and enquiries, while maintaining accurate records on Salesforce and liaising with suppliers and the Finance team.

Database and website management: Maintain and enhance Salesforce grant management processes, ensure accurate data for reporting, and keep the Trust's website updated and effective.

Office and team administration: Provide efficient administrative support for the team and board, including diary and travel management, process documentation, GDPR compliance, and assistance with projects and events.

About you

ABCT has a small team, and you will need to be a team player who can work collaboratively and flexibly, and contribute to a positive and friendly team culture. You will need to genuinely enjoy administration, be interested in ABCT's priority areas. You will either have experience using databases or feel confident learning these and enjoy structured, data-focused work.. You will be comfortable with administrative systems, and able to communicate clearly and kindly, and willing to contribute positively to a shared and supportive working environment.
