The Diocesan Safeguarding Team supports parishes and senior clergy to safeguard children and adults who may be at risk of abuse and neglect, and those in abusive relationships.

As a vital part of the safeguarding team, the Training Administrator supports the department through a variety of tasks from the booking and administration of safeguarding training courses run by the Diocese and content management for the training webpages through to the maintenance of the personal safeguarding training record database.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Training

• In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.
• To administer all lay and clergy safeguarding training run by the Diocese in line with above, in approximately 80 sessions a year.  This includes: producing a deadlines document; administers the sessions on Zoom / Teams, posting courses on Eventbrite and operating as content manager for publicity on the Diocesan website.
• To administer bookings for training courses; copy course materials and respond to emails and queries on training matters, ensure compliance of work submission required before and after courses. 
• Log entry of all course participants onto a database to ensure each person has a personal safeguarding training record, and each parish has a safeguarding training profile.

General Administrative 

• Work with IT and Information and Data Manager position to produce reports for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser on safeguarding training issues and trends, and annual statistics represented in charts and graphs for inclusion in the annual safeguarding review. 
• Produce quarterly reports on training compliance for Archdeacons and the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel meetings. 
• Helping to organise and minute meetings when the safeguarding administrator is not available/on leave.
• Support the safeguarding team with other tasks and projects as identified by the Safeguarding Administrator or Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser.

As Research Involvement Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading a programme of patient and public involvement in research, a core component of our charity wide involvement strategy. 

This role will ensure that our research strategy and funding programme is shaped by the priorities and needs of people affected by blood cancer. You’ll review and refine our processes to ensure they are in line with sector best practice and that they meet the needs of our community of people affected by blood cancer. You’ll further embed effective and meaningful involvement at all stages of the research cycle at Blood Cancer UK. 

You’ll also work to support the involvement of people affected by blood cancer in external research and strategic projects across the UK. You will ensure that the research we and others fund is patient focussed and has the potential to accelerate progress and deliver the maximum impact for the communities we support.

The role

This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team, responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. This role is essential in ensuring that the food we are offered reaches the thousands of charities and community groups we support across the UK.

The role is a combination of customer service provision and supply chain coordination with a strong data focus. You will analyse varied datasets to decide how food is distributed across our Network to ensure optimal and sustainable distribution. You will also be responsible for continuing and championing the high levels of customer service we provide to the food industry and our network of Regional Centres.

You will work closely with FareShare’s food suppliers, transport partners, and our Regional Centres to identify and overcome operational challenges to distribution. The successful candidate will also work closely with our Food Commercial team to ensure our food partners receive excellent operational support and customer service. We are continually evolving our processes and you will work within a culture of continuous improvement to improve operations within the team.

Main areas of responsibility

Food Industry Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring offers are responded to and processed within agreed service level requirements
• Work closely with the Food Commercial Managers, providing feedback and reporting on service issues and attending meetings and site visits as appropriate
• Assist Food Team with insight and feedback from food businesses, capturing key account information in our CRM system

 Regional Centre allocation

• Adhere to the requirements of the Network Service Level Agreement
• Work with the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to match food supplied to Regional Centre needs, always working to maximise surplus redistribution and minimise waste 
• Ensure that offers are allocated in an efficient and timely manner according to network needs and agreed priorities to maximise social impact of surplus food
• Using our CRM system, maintain timely records of accounts, allocations, offers and case management
• Maintain high standards of customer service to the Network and Operations teams and develop respectful and effective working relationships with the Regional Centres.
• Build your understanding of our Network and your relationship with Regional Centres through a programme of regular site visits in collaboration with the Network Development Managers
• Work with the Network Development Managers and Food Supply & Services Managers to identify opportunities to maximise and grow redistributed food volumes

Logistics and transport

• Work with Commercial Managers and hauliers to implement best practice processes and reduce costs for FareShare whilst maximising acceptance of food
• Work with hauliers to plan transport requirements and ensure that we are able to meet network demand
• Work with Regional Centres to coordinate and plan routes for internal FareShare logistics
• Reactively solve transport issues throughout the working day

Data and Analysis

• Use FareShare PowerBI reports to ensure optimal product allocation within contract requirements
• Specify, build, monitor and analyse Salesforce reports to increase efficiency of allocation
• Use dashboards to monitor network issues
• Lead regional network agreement service level review meetings
• Report on data integrity issues to the Network Analyst

Team coordination and representation

• Support the Team providing assistance and cover when required e.g. during busy periods, annual leave and sickness to ensure an even spread of work across the team
• Support the training of new team members
• Represent the Supply Chain and Logistics team at network cluster and food category meetings
• Deputise for the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager when required

Literacy Tutor

The Creighton Centre is a local charity with a long history of working in Hammersmith & Fulham, caring for older, vulnerable and disabled people. We tackle problems caused by social isolation and disadvantage by developing and providing programmes that offer people practical solutions and emotional support.

The Learning Disability Outreach (LDO) project needs a Literacy Tutor to teach people with learning disabilities, helping them to improve their reading and writing skills, to enhance their lives and achieve their aspirations. The teaching will be mostly in a 1-to-1 capacity, or with small groups. You will need some experience of teaching literacy skills and a compassionate attitude.

An interest in gardening and educating people in a small community garden would be a bonus, although not essential.

At Mosaic - Supporting Bereaved Children, we are clear that our mission is to enable children and young people who have lost someone very close to them to come to terms with their grief in a positive and caring way.  Our work transforms young lives and we'd like you to be part of this.

 This is a new post for Mosaic so the individual will have a chance to shape the strategy, advise the CEO and Trustees about our communications and marketing, and be part of a friendly and highly motivated team of 13 (mostly part-time) staff, working on events and activities, fundraising, counselling, training and education.

Researching and adivising on how we best engage with our audiences such as our volunteers, families and other charities through different channels and approaches.

Creating a communications strategy which will strengthen our profile, and improve our website's content, look and feel to ensure more clarity about what we do, more reach and impact

Developing our social media content with the team, thinking about how young people use it and producing metrics on this.  Work with our young people, volunteers and others to create fantastic video content to show our impact.

Leading campaigns for Mosaic, driving impactful communication and building partnerships with the media and other organisations across Dorset to support our mission.

Be part of the team effort to create an overall five-year strategy for Mosaic as we grow, thinking about how we demonstrate our impact and the great relationship we have with schools and charity bodies across the county.

Create press releases and moments where we can tell everyone about the work we're doing, and supporting national campaigns on child bereavement.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience of working in communications, preferably with some marketing experience.

A good track record  of utilising a data-driven and goal-oriented approach to produce effective awareness campaigns

Experience of working with different  platforms, including Meta and TikTok.

Experience in analysing group to create tailored user-journeys

An understanding of media and confidence to engage with them at a local and regional level

We are seeking a Psychometrician for two days per week to lead psychometric analyses and interpret the examination results of the Royal College of Pathologists.

The College is responsible for the delivery of pathology examinations for doctors, scientists, oral pathologists (dentists) and veterinary pathologists in 17 specialties – the Fellowship examinations of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath). The FRCPath Part 1 is held online and is a test of knowledge while FRCPath Part 2 is held in person around the UK as well as in the Republic of Ireland and, for histopathology, in international centres such as Dubai and Egypt. The College is regulated by the General Medical Council for the medical examinations and the General Dental Council for the Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology examinations, but the examinations are open to all appropriately qualified candidates.

The FRCPath examinations are held twice a year in Spring and Autumn and attracts approximately 1,200 candidates per session across the specialties. While some examinations attract up to 200 candidates, some examinations consistently attract very small numbers of candidates, with a number of examination cohorts sitting somewhere in between. The Psychometrician will advise on the appropriate data collection methods for the examinations and undertake psychometric analyses of appropriate examination data for each examination session and will, in time, be asked to provide analysis of longitudinal data.

As the College continues to develop its examinations, the Psychometrician will possess sufficient expertise to provide advice on the appropriate psychometric tests to undertake for the specialty examinations as different formats or methods of delivery are considered.

The examinations are delivered by an examinations team in the College which sits within the Learning Directorate. Each specialty examination is supported by an appropriately qualified panel, led by a Panel Chair, all of whom are overseen by the Clinical Director of Examinations (a pathologist). The Psychometrician will be expected to communicate with a wide range of individuals regarding the College examinations, with varying levels of knowledge about psychometrics, and will provide training for examiners and staff on a regular basis.

The College is a professional membership organisation dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of pathology. There are currently approximately 12,000 members, all of whom are pathologists based in hospitals, universities and laboratories in the UK and overseas. The College’s main tasks are to set and maintain training standards for doctors and scientists, to advice on the appointment of consultant pathologists, to ensure the membership is kept up to date with current practice through the continuing professional development scheme, and to promote the latest developments in pathology by holding scientific meetings.

Contract: 3 days a week

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to achieve annual income targets in alignment with organisational goals.

· Work with the COO to develop long-term income forecasts to support organisational
plans.

· Identify new fundraising opportunities across all donor groups and develop innovative approaches to diversify income streams.

· Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to trusts, foundations, and other grant-making entities.

· Ensure timely and accurate reporting to grantors to fulfil grant requirements and maintain compliance.

· Support the organisation in the use accurate and relevant monitoring and evaluation data and individual stories, for the purposes of reporting and building a compelling case for support.

Person Specification

· Experience of trust and foundations fundraising in a charity is essential. Additional experience of other forms of fundraising is a bonus.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising proposals and reports.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with stakeholders including donors, volunteers, and partners.

· Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies and plans.

· Experience using Salesforce is a bonus.
