Role Outline and Purpose
On behalf of the trustees and accountable to them for providing strategic direction and day to day leadership and management of the foodbank.
This will be achieved by leading by example in upholding our values, ethos and culture by motivating staff and our wonderful volunteers, along with the Churches and others as strategic partners in successfully implementing the strategy to achieve our vision.
The role also entails leadership with building high-performing partnerships with all those able and willing to support the vision to end the need for foodbanks in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

·To develop and deliver Greenwich Foodbank’s strategic vision as a pathfinding foodbank working to eliminate food poverty in the borough and ensuring alignment with our vision, values and strategy

As a Team Leader you will work with the Senior team in the day to day running of the home as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring that the young person is in the safe supportive environment required to nurture their needs.
You will be based at a Forever home in a beautiful setting in Gloucestershire; the home is for a young person with complex needs and a high level of challenging behaviour with a care ratio of 4:1.
Key responsibilities include:

- Master’s degree or equivalent with a Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in prospect research experience or a strong equivalent (eg other roles within fundraising) for international NGOs, scientific organisations or organizations with global public health relevance. Some experience with medical research or neglected tropical diseases would be highly regarded.
- Someone who is driven and able to work effectively in a remote team environment and matrix structure

The Role

To lead and co-ordinate the clinically informed youth work team delivering brief intervention services in Gateshead supporting staff to work with Children, Young People, and Young Adults in our Emotional Health & Wellbeing services based in Gateshead offering low intensity support under a brief intervention framework.
It is planned to offer various drop ins in Gateshead venues have yet to be identified.
The nature of the Emotional Health & Wellbeing services the ability to build relationships quickly, identify risks, and process further support is vital.
Skills

Work-based Knowledge
-Excellent understanding of common mental and emotional health issues that children & young people face, informed by current research and evidence bases.
-Clinical insight into emotional health and mental health pathways within the NHS CYP Mental Health Services.
-Appreciation and awareness of issues facing hard-to-reach young people around access to early help and crisis support.
-A working knowledge of current mental health support agencies in the local area.
-An understanding of current legislation, policy, procedures, and issues relating to safeguarding young people.
-Substantial experience of leadership within a mental health service.
-Track record of working with external stakeholders to deliver better outcomes for children and young people.
-Experience of working with a range of partners (both statutory and wider)

Right now, we are looking for a Peer Support Worker to join the team at Horsham. Our Peer Support service offers both intensive and low key peer support services. We support people who are going through a difficult time, by sharing our experiences, helping them discover the strengths and developing skills that will lead to wellness. But it's only possible with the help of people like you.
Day-to-day, you’ll work with the team leaders, peer support volunteers and the people who use our services to develop an inclusive and effective peer support service, offering individual and group support. That means you will be working alongside colleagues who have personal experience of using mental health services to help others on their own recovery journey. You will help to contribute to the development of organisational policies, procedures, protocols, systems and guidance to underpin the provision of peer support across the organisation. Identifying and undertaking training programmes, promoting the service to stakeholders and operating within a fully compliant service to agreed budgets – all are part and parcel of this challenging role.
To succeed, you’ll need a good understanding of the recovery and personalisation agenda and the principles and practice on which mental health services are run. You must have a proven ability to consult, liaise and work collaboratively with a team of colleagues and a wide range of external organisations and a flexible approach to working hours. You will be well-organised and self-motivated; good problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential, as is an innate ability to cope with personal stress.

Richmond Fellowship is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. From 1st June 2024 Richmond Fellowship will be merging with the mental health charity Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. We are looking for a Well Being Practitioner that:
-Has a genuine passion and working knowledge of young people and mental health.
-Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with CYP and families
-Experience of working in settings with young people who have emotional, behavioural and/or mental health concerns.
-Has a background or worked in Health Care, Education, Youth Work or Social work
-Able to provide direct low level therapeutic support that is person centred.
-Able to deliver improved wellbeing for children &young people presenting in crisis.
-a good working knowledge of Mental and Emotional Health Issues that young people face today, including interventions on how to support young people in overcoming these challenges.
Due to the fast paced environment and use of computers for clinical record keeping, you will need to have a good level of IT skills.
