This is an important role within the Stakeholder Engagement & Events team, contributing to the delivery of purpose-driven, high-quality events aligned with the University’s brand, reputation and strategic objectives.

In this role, you will support the planning and delivery of a broad programme of events that underpin the University’s strategic priorities. This includes contributing to large-scale, high-profile events such as graduation ceremonies, alongside a varied portfolio of stakeholder, partnership, city and community events. You will help ensure each event is designed to tell the University’s story, showcase its strengths and create positive, memorable experiences for students, prospective students, partners, staff and wider audiences.

You will work closely with the Events Manager, colleagues across the University and external suppliers to coordinate event planning, logistics, hospitality, guest management, budgets and risk assessments. Strong organisational and project coordination skills are essential, as you will support the delivery of multiple events simultaneously, often to tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.

A key aspect of the role is managing event administration and communications. This includes preparing and managing guest lists, drafting and sending invitations and event communications, producing promotional copy and collateral, and utilising event technology and data systems to enhance the participant experience and maximise attendance. Accuracy and attention to detail are particularly important when working with student data for graduation ceremonies and other high-profile events.

Working closely with colleagues across marketing, communications, recruitment and academic services, you will help ensure events are effectively promoted, consistently branded and aligned with audience needs and strategic outcomes. You will also contribute to post-event evaluation and continuous improvement, helping to demonstrate the value of events in enhancing reputation and strengthening partnerships.

Year one:

Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to support the National Programme Team with the implementation of operational plans that deliver successful national skills competitions. This will include supporting the activities and actions relating to the national programme cycle, projects across diversity and inclusion and transfer of global standards to maximise local and national activity in the UK.

Key tasks and responsibilities

· To contribute to the successful delivery of WorldSkills UK’s strategic priorities and annual business objectives.

· To support skills competitions that raise standards of teaching and learning and serve as a key vehicle for practitioner development across the vocational education and training sector and the workplace, including Apprenticeship/Traineeships.

· To co-ordinate activities relating to requesting, tracking and quality assuring key documents required from our Competition Organising Partners (COPs), ensuring documents are received within set deadlines.

· To co-ordinate and support the planning and event delivery of national skills competition activity across the UK, including booking travel, venues, accommodation and catering.

· To administer and co-ordinate the local and national projects i.e. Competitor Support Fund, and Evaluations.

· To administer and co-ordinate project plans, reporting, finance, systems, processes (i.e. Quality Assurance) and document management.

· To support improved engagement in skills competitions by all Stakeholder groups and audiences.

Summary of terms and conditions

· Permanent.

· The salary for this role is £28,000.

· WorldSkills UK offers a maximum employer’s contribution to your pension of 6% of your basic salary, on the condition that you make an employee contribution to your pension of at least 3%. You may choose to contribute a higher percentage of your salary to your pension, subject to statutory limits.

Role Description

The Family Matters team provides emotional support, information, and guidance to the families (e.g. partners, parents, adult children, grandparents) of those under investigation for online child sexual abuse offences.

They are often the hidden victims of crime, facing multiple problems and isolated from sources of help and support. This role provides one to one support to family members over the phone, supporting clients with attending Court hearings, liaising with relevant professionals, and advocating for clients where necessary. 

Responsibilities:

• To work as a member of the Family Matters Team to deliver outcomes for the Family Matters Programme as agreed with The National Lottery Community Fund.
• To provide information and Trauma informed support at a time of crisis to service users.
• To manage a caseload of complex adult client cases, providing client centred, practical and emotional support.
• To conduct risk assessments / case management.
• To offer information and support to family members regarding the Criminal Justice process during investigation, court hearings, sentencing and beyond.
• To help family members remain informed regarding Child in Need and Child Protection processes.

• To provide group work interventions on a 1-2-1 basis where the service user is unable to access groups.

You’ll also be the guiding light for our delivery partners and service providers as we want them to deliver the best experience and outcomes for our young people. High-fives all around! Roll up your sleeves and deliver employability sessions directly to our incredible young people. You'll also help our Delivery Partners and volunteers do the same, both in person and virtually through our trusty MS Teams. When we're doing things face-to-face, you’ll need to hit the road and be there in person to help with programme delivery or programme visits to make sure all is running as smoothly as possible.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Arrest Referral Worker in our CARS team, which has had, and continues to receive national recognition. 

Cranstoun are proud to work with the West Midlands Police Crime and Commissioner to deliver the Cranstoun Arrest Referral Service within the custody suites of West Midlands Police, and West Midlands Courts, offering drug and alcohol using offenders the opportunity to break the cycle of substance related crime.

Are you currently working as a substance use worker, probation officer, or could you bring transferable skills and experience to our team? Are you a good listener? You will work between police custody and criminal courts. You will assess, advise and refer offenders, providing them the opportunity to access treatment to address their substance use. Working with the courts, you will promote the use of Community Sentence Treatment Requirements (Drug Rehabilitations Requirements and Alcohol Treatment Requirements) amongst all court professionals and the judiciary, contributing to Pre Sentence Reports and advocate for our service users.

You will be responsible for delivering all elements of substance use work including assertive engagement, harm reduction support (including naloxone provision), as well as other associated duties. You need to have an understanding of the issues faced by people who use drugs and alcohol, and who commit crime, and be dedicated to delivering a service that supports these individuals to make positive changes to their behaviour, health and well-being.

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Campaigns Manager build a mass movement, maintain a network of supporters and combine audience insights to achieve our goal of action for trees and woods.

The Role:
•    Develop campaign plans and strategies that translate policy objectives into clear advocacy actions ensuring it’s gone through the agreed processes to mitigate reputational risk.
•    Lead the campaigns project team and provide support where needed.
•    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and strengthen campaign opportunities.
•    Monitor and evaluate campaigns, reporting on and making improvements to increase engagement.
•    Actively monitor and research campaign best practice ensuring adherence within the organisation.
•    Manage budgets for campaigns ensuring spend overview is kept up to date.
•    This role includes a mix of working from home and at our main office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Visits to Grantham would be required no more than once a month on average.

The Candidate:
•    Experience developing and delivering campaign strategies and plans with the ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, risks and people.
