As Strategic Lead (Cancer & Inequalities) you’ll continue our work with GM Cancer to achieve a permanent reduction in inequalities and inequity within Greater Manchester, addressing the social, environmental, and economic determinants of health and wellbeing, with the aim of ensuring active VCSE participation.
This role will suit someone with a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of people, for tackling health inequalities, and who enjoys working in fastmoving and complex systems. To be successful you’ll need experience of supporting a strategic partnership; developing proposals and funding models; and influencing at a senior level.

We’re looking for someone to train as a Community Energy Champion to be able to provide energy advice to people in communities.
You will visit clients at home to complete Home Energy Audits, providing information and individualised support, and facilitating access to options which will improve people’s wellbeing and energy security. This will include recommending grants and helping complete applications and forms.
As a Community Energy Champion, you will deliver face-to-face and virtual energy workshops to parent groups, carers groups, community groups and others. There is also the opportunity to work with energy and water providers and other organisations to arrange themed workshop sessions.

Overview of Role:
As a Support Worker, you will be working with young people aged 12-25 years old who have experience of self-harm. Within that age group, you will predominantly be working with young people under 18. The post would suit an experienced support worker, preferably with knowledge of the issues experienced by young people who are trans / non-binary.
You will play a key role in providing them with support and advocacy both on a one to-one basis and within a group setting; working with them to develop their emotional skills which will allow them to cope more effectively with the difficulties in their lives. The role
The post holder for this role will be responsible for co-ordinating the work of the Oldham Poverty Action Network and leading on bringing the Network members together, leading on the co-ordination of the key projects and programmes that tackle the root causes of Poverty in Oldham, ensuring that local people, community organisations and institutions can collaborate through the Network to achieve the Network’s shared vision. About the role

We’re looking for a bold and caring person to join our Children and Young People’s team. We want someone who has experience of engaging and working with young people in community settings, ideally in Lancashire.
To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, be confident, driven and have the ability to work autonomously in the community. You will be open, hardworking, creative and able to quickly build rapport with young people.
You will have experience working with the community and voluntary sector and understand the barriers some young people face to achieving good mental health and wellbeing.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take up a fixed-term, maternity cover role as Centre Leader at our IntoUniversity centre in Brixton. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

To fulfil our exciting campaign ambitions, we are recruiting a Philanthropy Manager (12 month contract) to help grow our philanthropic funding and to take our campaign to the next level.
Our world has many challenges that will deeply affect our generation and the next. As a Philanthropy Manager, you will cultivate significant gifts for amazing education and charitable research projects, you will provide funding for scholarships to support students from underrepresented backgrounds and will raise philanthropic funds for priority research areas including cancer, other global health issues and climate change. You will encourage and inspire donors to make long-term, sustainable gifts.
You will be joining an established team of fundraisers made up of Senior Philanthropy Managers, Philanthropy Managers and Philanthropy Officers. You will have experience of delivering against financial targets, along with the ability to translate complex information into a compelling ask in both verbal and written form. As a Philanthropy Manager in DARO, you will be innovative, self-motivated, and take ownership of fundraising opportunities in this area and generate significant gifts for amazing philanthropic projects. You will have an enthusiasm for building relationships, the skill to interact with high-level donors and supporters, and the ability to showcase the sector-leading academic research to a range of audiences.
