Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are now recruiting for a role providing focused, time-limited information, advice and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, supporting them to return to, remain in, or move towards employment, with a particular focus on engaging those facing multiple and intersecting barriers to work.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 35 hours per week.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing a varied caseload of clients, providing tailored information, advice and guidance to support their employment goals
• Working collaboratively with clients to identify their individual needs and the level of support required
• Developing clear, realistic Action Plans with clients, and reviewing these regularly to reflect progress and changing circumstances
• Supporting clients to address workplace challenges, helping them to return to work, remain in employment, or secure new roles
• Monitoring and tracking progress towards agreed employment outcomes, ensuring support remains focused and effective
• Enabling access to wider opportunities such as training, education, volunteering and other development pathways
• Making appropriate referrals to external services and partner organisations to ensure holistic support for clients

This role requires a proactive and person-centred approach, with a strong focus on achieving meaningful and sustainable employment outcomes.

Description

Working closely with the Bishop of Southwell & Nottingham, this is an opportunity to join the Bishop's Office team, working with and for the bishop across the diocese in service of the Church's mission.

Day to day, the Chaplain works closely with others to support the Bishop's public ministry, with key accountabilities for liturgical, pastoral and ministry support, as well as liaising with the Safeguarding Team and Registrar, and overseeing episcopal administration. The role also focuses on supporting the bishop's ministry in the areas of inspiring worship and nurturing prayer.

We are looking for someone who brings theological wisdom, pastoral sensitivity, discretion, and sound judgement, alongside the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload, helping to sustain the Bishop's ministry in both strategic and personal ways. This role would suit someone who is prayerful, collaborative, and adaptable, and who is equally at ease supporting worship and ministry, working with senior colleagues in sensitive and sometimes complex matters. It offers an opportunity to combine spiritual maturity with practical leadership, with the growth of their own ministry under the Bishop's guidance.

Responsibilties

Liturgical, Pastoral and Ministry Support (30%)

• Oversee planning for key services across the diocese, including confirmations and institutions, maintain digital resources for churches and support the Bishop at these services as needed.

• On the Bishop's behalf, consult and advise Cathedral, incumbents and churchwardens on the planning and delivery of any service in which the Bishop plays a part, ensuring Orders of Service are signed off and accessible to the Bishop as appropriate.

• Discern the next season of support for 'Nurturing Prayer' at both diocesan and parish level, work in collaboration with the Discipleship & Ministry team to develop a strategic approach. As required, lead on the planning and delivery of activity.

• Support the worship and prayer life of key gatherings; such as Bishop's Council and Diocesan Synod, as well as other diocesan events.

• Assist the bishop in his teaching ministry as needed, research matters, attend key leadership training days, and support and contribute to the programme as appropriate.

• Take opportunities to lead and preach at services or teaching events at the invitation of parishes across the diocese.

• Advise on and provide bespoke prayers and liturgies, faithful to the Anglican tradition, for a variety of civic and ecclesiastical occasions.

• In collaboration with Bishop's Ecumenical Advisor and Churches Together Nottinghamshire (CTN) fulfil the role of Diocesan Ecumenical Officer (DEO)

Safeguarding & Episcopal administration (35%)

• In conjunction with the Registry, advise on and ensure that clergy licences and Permissions to Officiate are administered in a timely and appropriate manner, in line with all requirements for Safer Recruitment and House of Bishops' policies.

• Ensure the Bishop's Office support parishes in their compliance with all legal requirements including in relation to the suspension of benefices and pastoral reorganisation, service provision and building usage.

• Oversee administration for C4 applications, the Overseas Clergy Measure and Eucharistic Assistants.

• Support the administration of the Clergy Discipline Measure and complaint and grievance procedures relating to clergy.

• Be the first point of contact in the Bishop's Office for safeguarding matters; liaise with the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer; and attend diocesan and national safeguarding planning group meetings on behalf of the bishop, where appropriate. Represent the diocesan bishop at the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Board (DSAP).

• Work with the Bishop's Office team to ensure the effective management of clergy files and processes, in line with the 2021 Clergy Files Policy Guidance, GDPR, and clergy appointments, including the accurate maintenance of the National Clergy Register.

• Work with the Bishop and Head of Staff & Strategic Projects in circulating key communications, including Pastoral Letters and Ad Clerum. Also ensure that existing Ad Clera are updated to reflect latest House of Bishops' practice guidance and policies.

• Respond to 'Bishop to Bishop' enquiries and Current Clergy Status Letters (CCSL) to provide reference requests as required.

• Oversees the work of the Senior Administrator in in managing effective administration of processes and use of data in relation to Ministers and Church Officers.

Collective working (20%)

• Work closely with the Head of Staff & Strategic Projects in making recommendations and proposals to the Bishop on the effective management of key issues, which may arise.

• Work with the Head of Staff & Strategic Projects and the wider diocesan team to support communication of the bishop's ministry and missional priorities through diocesan communication channels and other public or parliamentary channels.

• Play an active role in the life of the Bishop Office team, working in collaboration with Advisory roles and as part of strategic projects as required.

• Help foster good communication and support between the diocese, the Bishop's staff and the Cathedral staff.

• Assist the Bishop and his wife in their personal ministry and mission, including significant hospitality events, leadership training or evangelistic outreach.

Healthy cultures (15%)

• Attend to the spirituality and prayer that underpin the work of the Bishop's Core Team in sustaining momentum during a season of considerable growth and change.

• Be someone to whom the Bishop can turn and speak in confidence.

• Assist with the theological and pastoral dimensions of the Bishop's ministry, ensuring that pastoral concerns are redirected and followed up appropriately.

• Help protect the Bishop from the pressures of the present moment, guard his humanity, and ensure faithfulness to the wider vision of his ministry.

• The Chaplain will be expected to be a regular worshipper in a local congregation.

About You

• Ordained priest in the Church of England, with several years' experience in a post-ordination role.

• Some experience of working with Archdeacons, Area Deans and Parish oversight and governance.

• Some knowledge of Church of England's processes and procedures in relation to Clergy management and episcopal administration.

• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, safeguarding leadership and Clergy Discipline Measure in order to support the Bishop.

• Theologically alert to situations that might arise, and able to prepare responses that reflect this.

• Aligned with the Bishop's priorities in order to support his ministry effectively, demonstrating this through all aspects of the role.

• A prayerful person, calm and effective in stressful and pressured situations.

• Enjoys collective working, providing leadership and support as required.

• Emotionally intelligent, able to respond to diverse situations with understanding and appreciation of those involved.

• Committed to the growth of their own ministry under the Bishop's guidance, with theological, teaching and pastoral interests.

• Willing and able to work flexibly, recognising that Church life does not fit normal office hours. You can expect to work some evenings and weekends, and to attend and participate in meetings and events.

• Creative skills in liturgy to lead diverse forms of worship.

South East London Mind has been delivering a young person’s counselling service to students at Southwark College for several years.

As a College Counsellor, you’ll provide an age-appropriate counselling service that allows the students to explore their mental health and wellbeing, along with the socioeconomic factors that impact this. You’ll manage a caseload of students, triaging new clients to the service, coordinating the waiting list and capturing data and outcome measures on a CRM database.

We are looking for someone with a professionally recognised diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy who has experience of providing counselling to young people aged 14 upwards. As you’ll be working closely with pastoral staff on-site, an ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.

The role will require you to:

• Offer age-appropriate counselling sessions, including assessments and risk assessments. Where appropriate, provide clients with information about, and signposting to, other services
• Work with teachers and pastoral staff to ensure that the students are triaged and the relevant level of care and support is offered
• Work closely with the school to raise & report any safeguarding concerns in accordance with the schools and SEL Minds Safeguarding Policies
• Liaise where appropriate with other SEL Mind staff, school/college staff or agencies including local statutory and voluntary sector professionals and organisations
• Regularly communicate with other SEL Mind college counsellors and college safeguarding team to keep abreast of key themes, issues and needs across the service and collaborate to address these
• Attend regular clinical supervision, group clinical supervision, and line management to ensure effective therapeutic interventions

We’re looking for an experienced, creative and commercially driven product brand lead to bring our brand to life through our range of Girlguiding products.  

In this role, you’ll lead the creative development of branded products from concept through to production, working in partnership with our buying team. The Advocacy Director holds primary responsibility for delivering ECC’s advocacy strategy internationally and within the UK. This strategy aims to ensure states’ legal obligations on casualty recording are recognised and upheld globally, and that casualty data is used effectively to shape policy responses to conflict.

ECC’s advocacy work is focused primarily within the human rights and humanitarian multilateral fora in Geneva, but also incorporates work with New York-based UN targets within the security field. In parallel, as a UK-based organisation, we seek to influence domestic decision-makers including those within the FCDO, MoD, and parliament.

The Advocacy Director will be ECC's most senior external face after the Executive Director. As a key figure within a small organisation, the Advocacy Director will lead advocacy activity directly, building and stewarding relationships with state delegations, UK parliamentarians, UN officials, and civil society partners. The role requires exceptional political judgment, fluency across both multilateral and Westminster environments, and the credibility to represent ECC at the most senior national and international levels.

This is an exciting opportunity for a new leader to guide the organisation through its next phase of development, building from a position of strength. South East London Mind's Queer Minds Programme delivers peer-led mental health support for LGBTQIA+ people (aged 18+) in Lambeth and Southwark through two monthly peer support groups, a trans drop-in, events with partner organisations, psychoeducational workshops, and outreach activities.

The Programme Lead and Facilitator is responsible for coordinating and delivering the various strands of the programme, ensuring all services meet the contractual obligations of its funders. The role requires someone who is forward-thinking and adaptable, proactive in responding to the evolving needs of the group’s members and wider LGBTQIA+ community. They should be experienced in co-creative approaches to mental health and project management, working closely with programme participants to shape varied and meaningful initiatives. They will also bring creativity and flexibility, ensuring services remain impactful and grounded in lived experience while seeking relevant partnerships to enrich the programme’s offerings.

They will work collaboratively with participants, sessional facilitators, volunteers, community groups, and partners to deliver supportive spaces that foster connection, shared experience, and improved mental health and autonomy. The role includes building and maintaining strong partnerships, developing grassroots collaborations, and identifying outreach opportunities to increase the programme’s reach and profile. The post holder will work closely with the Peer Support Manager to deliver against objectives, maintain stakeholder relationships, and meet reporting requirements.

As an integral member of the fundraising team, the Fundraising Administrator will support the delivery of a range of successful fundraising activity based around the centre, in order to maximise income for Maggie’s.   

As Fundraising Administrator, you will welcome and support visitors within the centre in their fundraising for Maggie’s as well as in the local community and ensuring they are motivated, informed and supported.  

This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently.

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the Prospect Research Manager is to lead prospect development for major gifts, partnerships and business development, driving growth in our pipeline to help Magic Breakfast reach ambitious targets and unlock new income opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead prospect profiling, network mapping, qualification, and intelligence gathering to support the Major Giving and Business Development teams.
• Drive cross-fundraising initiatives to support prospecting, including:
• Developing an inspiring suite of ‘projects for funding’ for potential partners
• Organising in-house prospecting events to deepen engagement
• Coordinating our ‘new business roadshow’ to foster a prospecting culture across account management teams
• Conduct thorough risk screening and due diligence for prospects and, where required, existing partners, in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence Policies.
• Deploy varied new business tactics- including cold calling, email outreach, stakeholder mapping, event networking, and LinkedIn engagement- to secure prospect meetings.
• Identify and attend networking events to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities.
• Serve as the key link between I&I and Fundraising, ensuring the latest statistics, stories, and case studies are available to craft compelling, theme-based cases for support.

We are recruiting a fixed-term Policy Campaigns Manager to lead our campaigns function at ARUK. The Policy Campaigns Manager will report to the Senior Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager and have line management responsibilities for the Policy Campaigns Officer.

In this role you will be joining a friendly and fast-moving Policy and Public Affairs team, during an exciting year for dementia research as we campaign on our core mission for a cure. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to oversee our active campaigns and identify opportunities to mobilise our supporters and drive influence and impact for and with people affected by dementia.

You will lead the development of the campaigns function for ARUK, building on existing initiatives, championing best practice in campaigns and building our reach and engagement. You will also be responsible for working across a range of functions including our policy, research, communications, digital, brand and volunteering teams.

This is a 12 month FTC or on return of the substantive postholder

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver our live campaigns and marshal our campaigner base to advocate for change in dementia research and for people affected by dementia

· Work with colleagues across research, policy and public affairs teams to develop and deliver our campaigns that mobilise people affected by dementia and our supporters to influence decision makers and change policy and practice

· Work with the policy managers to ensure that our campaigns align with our strategic priorities and theories of change

· Work closely with public affairs colleagues to plan campaign actions that align with key political influencing moments e.g. Budget; Spending Review; King’s speech; General Elections

Develop and deliver our campaign communications to grow the reach, influence and impact of our campaigns

· Lead the development and growth of our campaigner network, building supporter journeys, and producing compelling and creative campaigner communications across email, social media and other channels

· Work with colleagues across CRM and digital to improve data management, delivering regular reporting on campaign actions and use this data to enhance the campaigner experience and empower more people to take action. ​

· Work with colleagues across the organisation to build campaigning expertise and experience with local ARUK supporters and improve our reach with MPs in their constituencies

Line Manage our Policy Campaigns Officer

· Oversee the work of the policy campaigns officer including setting objectives and providing support to a range of workstreams.

· Consider the learning and development needs of the policy campaigns officer and ensure that they are able to grow and develop in their role. 

Involve people affected by dementia in campaigns development and delivery

· Identify campaign champions and storytellers with lived experience who can advocate for change

· Provide training and ongoing support to people with lived experience to empower them to take part in and shape our campaigns

Research, insight and continuous improvement

· Provide expert advice across the charity on campaigning, taking an open, flexible and innovative approach

· Develop mechanisms to keep abreast of best practice in campaigns and any legal or regulatory issues specifically around mental capacity and consent, data protection and lobbying etc

· Continue a campaigning culture across the organisation by being an ambassador for the benefits of campaigning and working with colleagues to showcase the opportunities and impact of our work.

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Educated to A Level or equivalent 

· Experience of delivering successful national campaigns 

· Experience of building fruitful relationships with colleagues across organisations 

· Experience of developing impactful campaign strategies with clear policy rationale and creative tactics 

· Experience of writing compelling campaign communications 

· Experience of working with campaigners 

· Experience using CRM databases such as Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce and handling sensitive personal data

Ways of working:

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

About the role

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of a national programme across Wales. This role will focus on reducing financial barriers in education, amplifying the voices of learners, and supporting schools and partners to embed inclusive, poverty-aware practices.

You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders and communities to deliver meaningful change, helping ensure all children can thrive regardless of their circumstances.

• Lead the development of a bilingual national learners’ network to capture and amplify lived experiences

At the Medical Research Foundation, we believe in the transformative power of medical research. As we roll out an ambitious strategy to 2029, we’re looking for a Research Impact Officer to help monitor and evaluate our research to ensure our funded projects make a real-world difference.

About the role

• Reporting to our Senior Research Impact Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:
• Provide day-to-day administration for the research portfolio
• Be the first point of contact for reporting enquiries from funded researchers
• Collate qualitative and quantitative data to support impact reporting
• Support the ongoing development of progress reporting forms
• Develop and maintain working relationships with grant-holders
• Organise and attend meetings with researchers in support of impact evaluation activities

The Finance Director is responsible for all aspects of the group's finances (National Federation of Music Societies, trading as Making Music and its trading subsidiary), to ensure accurate and complete recording of all financial transactions, adherence to internal controls and procedures, and timely and effective analysis and reporting to the Chief Executive, Senior Management Team and other budget holders, the Finance & Compliance Committee and the Board of Trustees.

The Finance Director post is an integral part of the charity's senior management team, working closely with the Chief Executive, the Deputy CEO Advocacy and Lobbying and the Marketing Director, setting the strategic direction of the organisation and ensuring it has the financial systems and resources to implement its strategy.

The role line-manages and oversees the work of the Finance Manager who runs the day-to-day financial accounting processes, with the help of two Finance Administrators.

The role also leads on supporting members with finances, e.g. leading Treasurers' events, relevant website resources and responding to finance-related consultations.

The 2 days (15 hours) per week can be worked flexibly, and at least some of them from home, by agreement with your line manager. We would expect you to spend at least 1 days each week in our London office in Moorgate.

This is a friendly team, and our bright and lively office is located in one of the buzziest areas of London, with excellent transport links and nice places to spend your lunchtimes or meet friends after work.

Health, Safety and Facilities Officer

The Health, Safety and Facilities Officer will support the delivery of a safe, compliant and well-maintained working environment across the organisation. The role provides day-to-day coordination of health and safety activities, facilities operations, statutory compliance and contractor management, helping to ensure that offices and related spaces are safe, efficient and fit for purpose for staff, visitors and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support the coordination and delivery of health and safety processes across the organisation, helping maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, internal policies, the ARUK Health and Safety Management System and best practice.

· Maintain health and safety records, including DSE assessments, new and expectant mothers’ assessments, incident logs, training records, inspections, audit follow-up actions and related compliance documentation.

· Support the completion, review and tracking of risk assessments, safe systems of work, standard operating procedures, and other health and safety documentation.

· Assist with the coordination and documentation of internal audits, safety checks and workplace inspections, recording findings, tracking actions and escalating issues as required.

· Support the reporting, assessment and follow-up of accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying trends, assisting with investigations and helping to develop strategies to prevent recurrence.

· Provide administrative support for policy updates, system improvements, implementation activities, reports, data summaries and documentation to support assurance and compliance frameworks.

· Respond to general health and safety enquiries, providing routine guidance and escalating issues where appropriate.

· Manage and maintain digital systems including DSE platforms, incident reporting systems, facilities databases, lone working records and contractor-related records, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.

· Manage facilities JIRA requests, tracking and escalating workplace issues, including repairs, building fabric, environmental conditions and general maintenance.

· Coordinate planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, equipment servicing and service contracts, liaising with colleagues, suppliers and contractors to ensure buildings, office fabric and equipment are maintained in a safe and good state of repair.

· Liaise with external contractors and service providers, including cleaning, security, maintenance and repair services, arranging works, checking documentation, organising access and monitoring delivery against requirements.

· Provide day-to-day workplace support in response to staff requests relating to office space, equipment, lighting, heating, building issues, office housekeeping, meeting room readiness and general workplace functionality.

· Support business continuity, emergency preparedness and workplace response arrangements, including fire safety, first aid, evacuation processes and the day-to-day administration of the lone working system.

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Experience in a health and safety, facilities, workplace or operations support role.

· Good working knowledge of health and safety principles and their practical application in an office or operational environment.

· Experience of maintaining accurate records, coordinating actions and managing administrative processes relating to compliance or facilities activities.

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
