Head of Individual Giving

We’re looking for an experienced and creative Head of Individual Giving to lead and grow our individual giving programme.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you’ll shape and deliver our individual giving strategy, overseeing the recruitment, retention and development of individual supporters. You’ll lead on our major appeals, including an annual national campaign to Catholic parishes across the UK.

You’ll also play a key role in developing new fundraising products, optimising donor journeys, and ensuring our CRM and data systems support excellent stewardship and insight-driven decision making. This is a senior position with significant scope to shape the programme and make your mark.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team and use your fundraising experience to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children and families. As Fundraising Manager, your role will focus on developing relationships and generating income from charitable trusts, statutory sources and individuals. 

This is a diverse and rewarding role where you can work closely with our project teams and see the direct impact of your efforts. The fundraising team is also actively involved in service delivery.  This role will be instrumental in helping to distribute gifts and food to hundreds of disadvantaged families at Christmas, as well as helping families in crisis by assessing Crisis Fund applications and approving grants.

As a proactive and creative fundraiser, you will also help to shape the department’s overall fundraising strategy and play an important role in ensuring that many more disadvantaged children and families can access the support they need and have hope of a better future. 

 

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with strong fundraising experience who is keen to use their skills to help CCS grow our income. A proactive and flexible approach is also a must! The successful candidate will have:

• At least three years’ experience or working as a charity fundraiser
• A proven track record of personally securing income in excess of £200,000 p.a.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and supporters.

Hours

About The Job

Location: This is a hybrid role, anchored to the London Carers Trust office 1-2 days a week. It will require travel across England and occasionally the UK.

The Policy and Practice Officer will help drive Carers Trust’s priority to improve support for young carers and young adult carers. You will strengthen our growing policy and parliamentary work, coordinate the ever-growing Young Carers Alliance, and act as the main contact for the Young Carers Covenant.

You will work with a wide range of stakeholders including civil servants, MPs, local carer services and other charity partners, local authorities, health organisations, senior colleagues, and most importantly, young carers and young adult carer services themselves. In this role, you will champion young carers’ voices through public campaigning and private influencing, becoming an expert in the issues they face and the support organisations that work with them.

As the postholder you will:

· Proactively support young carers, young adult carers and local carer organisations to become involved in policy and external affairs activity.

· Build strong links with other organisations across areas such as education, health and social care to ensure that young carers are proactively being considered within policy, research and practice.

· Produce engaging reports, briefings, digital copy and articles for external use outlining and evidencing the need for change and potential solutions.

Purpose of the Job

As the Individual Giving Officer, you will support the Individual Giving Managers developing our individual giving programmes, including acquisition through face to face, digital and direct mail channels and innovate within the space. Duties & Responsibilities 

The key focus of the role will be: 

1. Supporting the Individual Giving Managers with acquisition and retention activities. 
2. Taking a proactive role in supporter stewardship 
3. Insight and Evaluation 

Campaign Management – Supporter Acquisition and Retention  

• Help deliver a calendar of activities across digital and traditional channels in line with agreed budget targets  
• Campaign manage supporter updates from inception to completion including data selection, creative, print and post-campaign analysis  

Supporter Stewardship  

• Be proactive in refining and improving supporter stewardship processes and assist with updating related policies as required  
• Support the supporter care team with queries where required  
• Take a lead in updating and monitoring the Fundraising complaints log  

Developing in Legacy giving programme 

• Support in the development of an effective legacy acquisition and stewardship programme.  

Insight & Evaluation 

•  Produce post-campaign reports and make recommendations on refining approaches to improve overall performance 
•  Monitor Supporter attrition levels and implement measures to mitigate drop-offs  

Collaboration  

• Work with Senior Individual Giving and Legacy Manager on new income-generation opportunities  
• Work with the Marketing team to maximise opportunities utilising social media platforms  

General  

• Understanding of the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practice, data protection and other relevant legislation, guidance and good practice 

Essential Criteria 

• Proven track record of campaign management across Individual Giving, across both acquisition and retention methods. 
• Previous experience of creating supporter journeys that have reduced attrition rates and increased supporter engagement. 
• Experience of using supporter databases for audience segmentation and insight. 
• Experience of supporter (or customer) care and managing queries and complaints. 
• Good numeracy and Excel skills. 
• Understanding of the regulatory environment for fundraising, including data protection, codes of fundraising practice and Gift Aid. Not essential but please state if you have experience with Gambling Protection laws and regulations (including LCCP). 
• Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels, and to work independently within a small team. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.  
• A passion for fighting food waste and food inequality.

What will I be doing?

This is a hands on role for an experienced accountant who is comfortable working across jurisdictions, managing intercompany activity, supporting VAT accounting, and contributing to grants financial management.

• Support month end and year end close across multiple entities

We have a successful track record with Trusts and Foundations (T&F) and are now looking to cultivate a diverse portfolio of funders who are accelerating the transition to a sustainable food system, tackling climate change, and ensuring the food we eat is good for all. You will be the architect of this new HNWI income stream - researching, qualifying, and securing transformational gifts from scratch.

While philanthropy experience is essential for this role, you will also collaborate with our Development Manager to oversee our established T&F portfolio. We are predominantly seeking strong philanthropy specialists and are happy to provide training on grant applications where needed.

This is a pivotal role for someone looking to lead on a high-impact fundraising strategy and help secure the vital resources needed for our continued success. 

You will be a champion for our mission, able to think creatively about how to attract interest across sectors and translate the impact of our work to speak to a range of audiences.

Responsibilities

• Establish the HNWI Pipeline by leading the proactive research and identification of new UK-based major donors. You will manage the full prospect lifecycle, from cold outreach and initial "discovery" meetings to the final ask and bespoke stewardship.

• Conceptualise, launch, and manage a new donor circle (e.g., an 'Impact Club') to create a structured engagement programme for mid to high-level supporters alongside the Co-Executive Director.

• Co-develop a creative 3-year fundraising strategy and set actionable annual and quarterly objectives.

• Plan, facilitate, and manage events, including the coordination and delivery of roundtable discussions or multi-participant meetings, ensuring effective engagement, smooth logistics, and clear outcomes.

• Create compelling, tailored cases for support and impact reports that translate ProVeg’s data into visionary narratives that resonate with wealthy philanthropists.

• Brief and support the Co-Executive Directors and Trustees for high-level meetings, ensuring they are positioned effectively to close significant gifts.

• Maintain accurate and timely records of all donor interactions, communications, and commitments within our HubSpot system, which we use to manage and track our relationship pipelines and fundraising progress.

• Collaborate with the Development Manager to maintain our existing T&F relationships, ensuring high-quality grant applications, reporting, and compliance are met. 

• Travel in and around London and other major cities in the UK to network with potential donors and represent the organisation
   

Qualifications

Essential:

• You bring 3+ years of philanthropy/fundraising experience, ideally within an NGO or a related field.

• You possess demonstrable experience in identifying and opening doors to new HNWI prospects rather than just managing an inherited portfolio.

• You are a skilled verbal communicator with the ability to lead virtual and in-person meetings with gravitas, communicating ProVeg UKs work with donors and partners in inspiring, creative, and persuasive ways.

• You possess excellent written communication skills to write inspiring, persuasive content.

• You bring an entrepreneurial mindset, and can think creatively to find new solutions to challenges. 

• You are a competent project manager, able to meet deadlines and manage a varied and fast-paced workload. 

• You display the ability to network effectively and represent ProVeg with a wide range of stakeholders, nurturing and cultivating relationships into long-term, mutually-beneficial partnerships. 

• You have a genuine passion for ProVeg’s mission and the ability to travel within the UK for donor engagement.

• You are able and willing to travel within the UK and represent the organisation at donor meetings and other related events

Preferred:

• You possess knowledge of the plant-based food sector or environmental philanthropy.

• You have acquired solid experience using HubSpot (or a similar CRM) for pipeline management.

Your mission

We’re a suicide prevention charity fighting to reduce the devastating impact of suicide in the UK. We run a life-saving helpline for anyone affected by suicide or suicidal thoughts, and provide mental health tools and resources for anyone struggling. 

We also run vital campaigns to increase awareness, smash stereotypes, and change the culture around mental health and suicide.

Our supporters are a huge part of CALM. Whether they’re running a marathon, shouting about our services, or featuring in an awareness campaign, they make what we do possible. And that’s why we need an experienced Storytelling Manager, so we can share their stories and get more people than ever united against suicide. 

We’re looking for an experienced Storytelling Manager to champion our supporters and service users across the org by recruiting, telling and managing their stories. 

What you’ll be doing

• Ethical recruitment

• Trauma-informed interviewing

• Management of stories using our Digital Asset Management System

• Champion storytellers across the CALM team - identifying compelling narratives for varying purposes and elevating CALM’s communications through relevant, impactful, and responsibly told lived-experience stories.

Your profile

Essential

• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to proactively manage multiple storytelling projects concurrently.

• Excellent written and verbal communication:

  • Strong attention to detail and communications skills

  • Experience of writing engaging copy in line with a brand tone of voice

  • Experience of communicating sensitive and complex information to a range of audiences

  • Ability to adapt stories to a range of audiences and channels 

• A solid understanding of storytelling practice, including trauma-informed interviewing techniques and adherence to ethical guidelines

• 4+ years experience interviewing and producing case study stories in a charity or media organisation

• A collaborative team player who can work across a range of teams to understand project needs and support on finding solutions. 

Desirable

• An understanding of the charity, mental health or suicide prevention sector and the key issues for communication with stakeholders, supporters and the broader public.

This is an exciting time to join London’s Air Ambulance Charity. In early 2025, we launched our new 15-year strategy, setting the direction for the service to our 50th anniversary in 2039. This strategy gives us the opportunity to tell the unique story of the service – we see more incidents requiring life-saving care at the scene than any other air ambulance service. London brings unique challenges and our new strategy requires us to tell a broader story of what we do and the impact we have. 

Alongside this, we’ve developed an ambitious Engagement Strategy to put the people of London at the heart of our fundraising and marketing. This is an incredible opportunity for a supporter experience expert to develop and oversee our approach to supporter experience, supporter care, and fundraising compliance and risk. 

The Head of Supporter Experience will lead the early-stage delivery of our supporter experience strategy, ensuring every interaction with the charity is meaningful, consistent and inspiring. This role will oversee supporter care, fundraising compliance, Gift Aid management and directorate risk management, embedding a culture of excellence and supporter-centricity across the organisation. 

We’re at the very early stages of embedding a culture of supporter experience and in a period of change – transitioning to a new CRM (Dynamics) and implementing Customer Insights Journeys. We have a major opportunity to improve how we do things as a result of this investment in technology, and this role has a real chance to make their mark on setting the foundations for how we deliver supporter experience. 

As a member of the Fundraising and Marketing Management Team, you'll champion the supporter perspective, ensuring that our processes, systems and communications deliver exceptional experiences that deepen loyalty, retention and lifetime value. 

You’ll be a strategic and passionate leader who can see the big picture and inspire others to deliver it. You’ll combine a clear vision for exceptional supporter experience with determination and process thinking to make it a reality, ensuring every interaction strengthens our supporters’ connection to the charity. With a collaborative and innovative mindset, you’ll champion insight-led approaches, embedding a culture where supporters are at the heart of everything we do. This is a role for someone who thrives on driving change, influencing at all levels and delivering measurable impact - helping us achieve our mission to bring hope to every one of our patients. 

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

You’ll be joining a team dedicated to raising vital year-round income and making Crisis supporters feel valued and inspired. This role will support the delivery of our Mid-Value Programme, as we continue to grow this crucial source of sustainable income and inspire more supporters to deepen their commitment to ending homelessness.

About the role

Mid-value giving sits at the heart of our new Brand, Marketing and Fundraising Strategy as one of our highest-priority income streams. As Individual Giving Executive, you’ll play a key role in delivering a programme of appeals, stewardship and supporter experience that delivers real tangible impact for Crisis and brings people closer to our mission to end homelessness.

As we evaluate and refine our Mid-value offer to supporters, you’ll be using creativity and innovation to develop campaigns and communications to inspire people with this way of giving. By collaborating with colleagues from across the organisation and our trusted partners, you’ll be bold in delivering an impactful stewardship programme that nurtures our supporters’ consideration and creates new opportunities for them to feel valued. You’ll take an equitable approach in sharing stories of people experiencing homelessness, to deepen our supporters’ engagement and bring them closer to our mission.

About you

We’re looking for an organised project-manager and ideally someone with experience of delivering communications to a mass audience and/or more tailored stewardship. You’ll be an excellent communicator, online and in print, and be comfortable having tactful conversations with our supporters.

We are a dynamic team that delivers results and we’re entering a crucial planning phase for Crisis. So we’re looking for someone who can learn quickly and happy to get involved with multiple projects straight away. To be successful in this role you will:

• be an effective project-manager, adept at engaging and influencing stakeholders and fostering collaboration to achieve objectives
• enjoy thinking creatively and using storytelling to bring complex issues to life
• be confident in your communication skills, whether writing persuasively for a specific audience or talking 1:1 with a supporter of Crisis
• be comfortable using digital platforms and technology and working with data to improve outcomes
• take an organised and proactive approach to managing your workload and balancing different priorities
• be a solutions-focused problem solver and ready to adapt to a changing environment

Previous experience in direct marketing or stewardship is essential, ideally within a fundraising context. Most of all we’re looking for a candidate who’s passionate about ending homelessness and can play an active role in a busy, diverse and dynamic team.

In this role you’ll work to meet the digital needs of London’s Air Ambulance’s frontline clinical and operational teams.

This post sits within the Clinical and Operational Data team and will be responsible for our operational digital solutions, acting as an internal product owner. London’s Air Ambulance has been on its digital transformation journey for several years and you’ll be helping to build on current progress and further develop the organisation’s digital maturity. You’ll be overseeing existing digital solutions for clinical and operational functions, as well as meeting new requirements and driving innovation. You’ll also be working with the IT team, external partners and vendors to onboard and maintain infrastructure for the future. You’ll be responsible for line-managing a Power Platform developer. You’ll also work closely with users of our data and digital artefacts of clinical care, balancing complex and competing stakeholder requirements.

We're looking for someone with experience in building digital capacity within an organisation, who can help drive innovation and digital transformation. The Clinical and Operational Digital Lead will show the ability to gather requirements and lead on infrastructure choices for digital needs. This role will work closely with NHS partners (including their Information Technology and Information Governance functions) and with vendors, assessing requirements and managing external and internal stakeholders.
