Place2Be is looking for a Level 4 Diploma Tutor. In this hybrid role, you will play a vital part in shaping the next generation of counselling professionals supporting children and young people. You’ll plan, deliver and evaluate our innovative CPCAB‑accredited Diploma, provide high‑quality teaching both in person and online, and help create an inclusive, reflective and supportive learning environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone committed to therapeutic education, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and ensuring trainees receive an outstanding learning experience. On‑site teaching takes place every Monday at our Manchester training venue, with some Fridays and occasional Thursdays required for meetings or supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver the Level 4 Diploma curriculum in person and online.
•  Facilitate lectures, seminars, skills groups and 1:1 tutorials.
• Evaluate and assess students through vivas, formative and summative assessments.
• Provide clear, constructive written and verbal feedback.
• Support the interviewing and selection process for new students.
• Maintain high safeguarding, wellbeing and health & safety standards.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
• Attend team meetings, supervisions, standardisation workshops and moderation activities.
• Promote EDI, anti‑oppressive practice and safe group dynamics in all teaching.
• Stay current with research, theory and developments in counselling children and young people.

Key Skills & Experience

• Qualified counsellor/psychotherapist (Level 4+, ideally Postgraduate/Masters)
• Minimum two years’ experience working therapeutically with children in a school setting
• Registered/accredited with BACP, UKCP or HCPC
• Experience teaching or training counsellors/therapists
• Strong understanding of theory, child development and integrative practice
• Confident assessing academic and skills‑based work
• Commitment to EDI and working within difference and diversity
• Excellent communication, organisation and relationship‑building skills
• Competent with Microsoft Office and online learning platforms (e.g., Teams)

About the Research team: 

• The Feline Welfare Research Team are a small but growing team of six scientists, who sit within the wider Cat Welfare department. The team supports the organisation in improving our understanding of feline welfare both on a population and individual basis across a range of disciplines including epidemiology, demography and welfare assessment. 

• The team are responsible for providing the charity with scientific expertise. 

What we’re looking for in our Cat Scientist - Emerging Welfare Technology: 

• Extensive experience undertaking non-invasive animal behaviour and welfare studies, including first-author publications. 

• Significant experience in research project design and leadership, including planning, oversight, and completion of projects on time and within budget. 

• Experience leading and advising on data-led research and innovation projects to inform animal management or conservation strategies

The RCR, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, is leading a national review into cancer multidisciplinary team (MDTs) improvement — a key commitment in the National Cancer Plan. We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to drive this high-profile programme and deliver meaningful change for cancer services. 

This is a rare opportunity to shape how cancer teams work across the country and to deliver meaningful improvements for patients, clinicians and the wider cancer workforce. 

As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the planning, coordination and delivery of the Cancer MDT Reform Programme. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across the health system including NHS England, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Department of Health and Social Care as well as senior Officers at the RCR, including regular reporting to our Vice-President for Clinical Oncology. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Leading the full project lifecycle, from developing detailed project plans to managing risks, timelines and reporting. 
• Delivering a large two-day national stakeholder event to gather insight and build consensus across the cancer community. 
• Drafting high-impact written outputs, including a flagship report outlining recommendations for MDT improvement to be shared with government.

Other information

IPS – Employment support

For people who need mental health support, getting back into work is a vital step on their recovery journey. The evidence backs this up, but although 90% of people with severe mental illness want to work, only 8% of them are in paid employment.

If you would like to join our team and champion our mission and help people who need employment support to get back into work. You will be supporting clients who are under the care of Secondary Mental Health services to gain and retain paid employment and will be based within a clinical team.

This is an incredibly rewarding role.  You'll have the opportunity to transform the lives of clients, to give them hope, direction and support with their recovery journey alongside other key professionals. This is also a challenging role, so you’ll need to be empathetic, adaptable and dedicated to finding clients a role that’s right for them.

· An understanding of the employment needs, and challenges faced by people who experience mental health difficulties

· Developing a knowledge of a broad range of occupations and jobs

· Able to use IT systems, databases and tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel

· Strong motivational, communication and listening skills

· Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a range of people

· Good organisational ability

· Natural ability to build close, trusting and productive relationships with people

· Team orientated and able to work collaboratively within a mixed-disciplinary team

· Ability to work independently and use initiative to develop and promote a service

Desirable

· Knowledge of DWP and disability/employment related benefits

· Knowledge of good practice in employment legislation protecting Disability and Equality
