Summary

The Payroll Team is part of the NCIs Finance department, a shared services function serving the NCIs and the wider Church. It has responsibility for processing the monthly payroll for the Church of England's 8,000 stipendiary clergy (in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man), staff working for the National Church Institutions and Bishops' office staff, those employed at the Church of England Pensions Board's supported housing schemes, and a number of smaller Church-related clients. Whilst the team is embedded within the Finance function, they work closely with the NCIs HR team, the People System team and diocesan colleagues to ensure the delivery of a joined-up high-quality service to a broad range of stakeholders.

In this role as Payroll Officer, you will undertake end-to-end payroll administration tasks and work within an agreed control framework and in line with agreed monthly timetables and service levels to deliver payroll processing for all relevant payrolls.

Even if you don't have payroll experience, this could be an exciting opportunity to learn something new, as we will offer full training and the potential that you could do a Level 3 payroll qualification whilst working.

In this role, you will:

• Act as a first point of contact for payroll-related queries.
• Process end-to-end payroll (starters, leavers, changes, variance checking, etc).
• Respond to enquiries (by phone, email, online) from payees and payroll customers on a timely basis, demonstrating high levels of customer service.
• Undertake payroll processing tasks including PAYE, NI, student loans, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, parental leave, statutory payments, court orders, GAYE, other personal deductions, and tax year start/tax year end, etc.
• Be proactive to meet payroll deadlines.

• A salary of £34,801 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

CoppaFeel! is looking for a Head of Partnerships to deliver our Partnerships Team strategy for the duration of a maternity cover at CoppaFeel!. This role is crucial to fundraising at CoppaFeel! due to managing our largest partner, Asda, to an incredibly high level, as well as strategising and supporting the team to deliver all our other partnerships.

The Head of Partnerships will sit within the CoppaFeel! Fundraising Team and will work closely with the Director of Fundraising, other Heads of Departments and Partnerships Team. They will lead this team with their new business and account management.

Partnerships at CoppaFeel! are responsible for more than 50% of the income. Asda is our most valuable partner and requires a high level of attention and professional account management. There is a Partnerships Manager solely dedicated to Asda. There are a large number of other varying types and sizes of partnerships that also need to be overseen and opportunities within them maximised.

We also have an ambition to diversify our fundraising income and seeking new partners through our new business workstream is a priority for the team. Wherever possible, we strive to make our partnerships support our organisational mission of reaching young people with our life-saving message as well as ensuring they are able to raise funds for our work. The Head of Partnerships will be responsible for overseeing the new business efforts, and offering support and direction to the team. .

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy

• Responsible for the management and delivery of the existing partnerships strategy, ensuring to continually review the efficiency of it, and where appropriate, make and implement changes

• Create and develop the Partnerships Team workplan for 2027

• Identify the key areas for improvement and inspire the team to take our partnerships to a higher level increasing income generation and maximising awareness raising opportunities

• Responsible for achieving forecasted targets contributing to the CoppaFeel! fundraising growth plan

• Ensure you are up to date with industry norms, fundraising climate and partnership trends

• Network in appropriate forums to constantly seek new opportunities that fit with the partnerships strategy

• Where possible, strive for partnerships that align with our strategic goals

• Use your expertise with our pipelines to forecast accurately and ensure the team are on track to hit target

• Ensure ROI and key performance metrics are used to make evidence based decisions

Partnership Deliverables

• Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager and Corporate Partnerships Manager on key deliverables of high-value partners; including senior stakeholder management, strategic and financial planning and event attendance

• Support the development of the new business strategy and securing new partners through attending meetings, participating in pitches etc

• Ensure all partners have up to date contracts and review any queries from the team. Work with SMT and external lawyers where required.

Management

• Provide effective leadership to the Partnerships Team. Offering guidance and support to ensure high-quality partnership strategy delivery, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

• Directly line Manage at least two members of the partnerships team, ensuring ensuring they have annual performance reviews, learning and development plans, KPIs, and are supported to meet their fundraising targets

• Responsible for the knowledge of regulation relevant to corporate partnerships and fundraising including the Code of Fundraising Practice

• Make decisions based on what is best for the department and organisation

Administration

• Use Beacon CRM to its full potential to track partnerships progress

• Ensure systems are kept up to date including Beacon CRM, and CoppaFeel! shared Google Drive

• Keep workplan, diary and shared calendar up-to-date, shared communications across the organisation including admin such as desk booking systems, People HR, Weekly Round Up and contribute to team meetings

• Ensure excellent financial and legal records are kept including invoicing, contracts, payment chasing and team expenses, following CoppaFeel! finance policies

Leadership

• The Leadership team consists of SMT and Heads of Department, so this role is a leadership role

• Work with the leadership team to maintain the CoppaFeel! culture reflecting and championing the organisation’s values of positivity, creativity, community and impact

• Lead and inspire the Partnerships Team to meet their objectives and live the full CoppaFeel! values

• Work closely with all Heads of Departments to collaborate on projects and stay across the direction of all teams, in order to deliver CoppaFeel!’s organisational strategy

• Work with the Director of Fundraising and leadership in fundraising to set the ways of working and high performance of the team

• Champion corporate partnerships and fundraising across CoppaFeel! helping to develop a fundraising culture at the organisation

Purpose of the Role 

The HR Officer provides comprehensive HR support across the organisation, ensuring best practice and compliance with employment legislation. This role covers the full employee lifecycle, HR administration & HR system admin, policy implementation, and coordinating employee engagement initiatives, while contributing to long-term HR projects and organisational change. 

Key Responsibilities 

Employee Lifecycle Management 

• Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns. 

• Coordinate recruitment processes, including building job packs, setting up roles on BrightHR, advertising vacancies, and supporting shortlisting. 

• Schedule and coordinate interviews. 

• Prepare employment contracts and issue HR letters (e.g., annual pay reviews, leave requests).

We are seeking 2 Collection Review Managers to fully understand and catalogue the Museum Collection for the Royal Borough of Greenwich. This will include the development of a new Collections Policy, identifying key aspects of the collection that are relevant to the policy and ensuring it is fully catalogued. They will then assess the options of deaccessioning, relocations or redistributions. This is an 18-month project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF).

They will report to a project manager and be supported by the existing team and volunteers at the Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust, who manage the Collection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and implementation of a long-term Collections Strategy, in line with the objectives of the Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust and the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

• Ensure the collection is relevant, manageable and representative supporting public engagement and long-term stewardship.

• Catalogue the Collection.

• To lead and deliver a structured programme of Collections transition activities in support of museum’s redevelopment, ensuring the safe, ethical and documented movement, review and potential disposal of collection items in accordance with best practice and national standards.

• Develop, deliver and report on a comprehensive Collections transition plan, aligned to key project milestones.

• Manage resources, timelines and risks related to Collections movement, storage, and documentation.

• Maintain clear project documentation and contribute to evaluation, impact reporting, and NLHF requirements.

Purpose:

The Events and Communications Officer will be responsible for supporting both membership events and communications activities.  The ECO will work with both the Communications Manager and the Membership and Events Manager to ensure membership data is up-to-date, to track membership engagement, to support the organising and delivery of our events, and to craft and broadcast digital content and media outputs.  This role requires a proactive, dynamic, and driven individual with excellent communication skills, an understanding of event management, confidence and experience using CRM databases and Excel, along with social media skills and an ability to spot new media opportunities. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, confident and adept with CRM systems, and enthusiastic about delivering excellent service to members whilst helping to promote the organisation's work across digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

Membership and Events Support

1. Working closely with the Membership and Events Manager to deliver  strategies for recruiting, retaining, and engaging members. 

2. Maintain and update the CRM system, ensuring accurate records and consistent data standards.

3. Support the processing of membership applications, renewals, and enquiries in a timely and professional manner. 

4. Support the organising and execution of member events, such as network and consortium meetings and other engagement activities as needed.

About the Youth Endowment Fund 

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children becoming involved in violence. Our mission is to find what works and build a movement to put it into practice. A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of youth justice. We need to inspire and connect with youth justice leaders across England and Wales to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.

Key Responsibilities  

We are making good progress building the evidence of what works within and around youth justice to reduce violence. This year, in conjunction with the Centre for Justice Innovation, we published Diversion Practice Guidance and have recently launched our new self-evaluation tool for diversion practice (ORPIC). But the big risk is that we publish these resources and nothing changes. That’s where you come in.

Your role is to work out the best way to make this change happen by getting youth justice services (YJSs) and police forces to adopt evidence-based practice through our new change programme: the Whole Area Model (WAM). WAM helps police forces and youth justice services strengthen diversion practices by aligning their work with the 7 C’s: 

1. Culture – A child-centred, pro-diversion ethos 

1. Contact – Interactions are trauma-informed and maximise prevention and safeguarding opportunities 

1. Custody – Considered use of police custody, prioritising alternatives and swift triage. 

1. Criteria – Clear, consistent eligibility for diversion. 

1. Collaboration – Multi-agency decision-making panels; shared protocols and referral pathways.

1. Care – Evidence-based support, monitoring engagement, closing cases responsibly.

1. Checks – Ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and scrutiny to ensure quality and equity. 

Your role will involve: 

• Supporting the delivery of the Whole Area Model through activities like: 

• Facilitating completions of diversion self-evaluations with youth justice services and police forces. 

• Delivering training to youth justice, police and other relevant agencies about the evidence-base or specific areas of diversionary practice and governance (e.g. scrutiny panels). 

• Supporting the ongoing development of a National Diversion Network, which will contribute to a wider repository of diversion resources and evidence

• Identifying and creating practical resources which help youth justice professionals and police officers to put evidence into practice. 

• Developing great relationships with senior leaders, youth justice workers and police officers, generating a strong understanding of key issues and needs in relation to youth justice matters, and building credibility and trust with the sector.

• Working out other effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then making those things happen, from virtual learning events to presentations.

About You 

You must have this sort of experience:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced programme manager who will oversee The Advice Workforce Development Fund (AWDF). AWDF is a collaborative programme dedicated to strengthening and sustaining the social welfare advice sector in London.
