Working hours are 9-5, Monday to Friday. Plus you'll participate in our out of hours service on a rotational shift basis.

About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a IPS Employment Advisor to join our IPS service part time, you will be based in the borough of Newham, working 17.5 hours per week. Working Well Trust's services have previously been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

What you’ll be doing

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service. 

What you’ll need

Experience in employment support is not essential. We are looking for someone who brings:

• A genuine desire to support people into meaningful employment.
• Commitment to person-centred work and either experience of or enthusiasm to learn the IPS approach.
• Confidence engaging with employers and promoting the benefits of our service.
• Good organisation skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

The role:

Building on SEL Mind’s comprehensive Mindful Mums and Being Dad (MMBD) programmes, we are seeking to appoint a Perinatal Counsellor to provide one-to-one talking therapy to expectant and new parents in Lewisham.

The focus will be reducing the anxiety of expectant parents during pregnancy and in the immediate postnatal period. The service will offer structured counselling sessions to parents, tailored to individual needs, cultural context and preferences.

The Counsellor will draw upon the wealth of experience within the wider MMBD team and strong links with local professional networks including Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team, Maternity Steering Group and Lewisham Perinatal Mental Health and Parent-Infant Relationship Network.

You will have experience of working with clients within the perinatal period as a counsellor post qualification, including conducting clinical assessments and risk assessments. You will be confident in managing a caseload, regularly reviewing and monitoring clients and working with people from diverse communities. Successful candidates must provide evidence of their registration with a professional counselling body e.g. BACP.

The expectations of the role are to support a minimum of 20 clients within the first year. Client work will be delivered within confidential spaces in Family Hubs across Lewisham Borough. Ideally client work will be delivered in one full day, supporting an average of 5 clients. The role holder will be required to work on Tuesday mornings in order to attend team meetings and training.

In this role, you will work closely with Primary Care Networks, GP practices, local authorities, social workers, voluntary sector, community centres, and faith groups to help identify and engage with Unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers.  

In this role, you will support services to improve registration, communication, support and accessibility, promoting ‘Carer Friendly’ environments and practice that supports the wellbeing of Unpaid Carers.  

You’ll need to be able to develop effective relationships with key staff, agree action plans, establish communication pathways and provide updates. By collating and sharing successes, you will support the development of good practice across primary healthcare, social care and community services in the borough.

This is a 9 month fixed-term role and applicants will need relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK’s growing Community Fundraising team as a Regional Fundraiser, which is expanding in response to sustained year-on-year growth and our ambitious five-year organisational strategy. As a Regional Fundraiser you will lead on developing and managing relationships with supporters across the South West region — including individuals, community groups, and corporate organisations.

You will play a key role in delivering our community fundraising strategy by identifying new opportunities, nurturing long-term relationships, and inspiring people to take action and raise vital funds. In this role, you will proactively build a strong pipeline of supporters, delivering tailored stewardship journeys that deepen engagement and increase lifetime value. You will collaborate across teams to promote campaigns and events, contribute to regional content and represent Dementia UK at external events and presentations.

Whilst the post is homebased, the ideal candidate will be based in the South West region, including Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Dorset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, as there is regular travel within this area and to our London head office.

We are looking for you to have a background in community fundraising, experience of working in relationship management or new business. You will have understanding of community fundraising across both relationship management and new business development with proven success of building and sustaining stakeholder relationships.

We are looking to recruit a Funding Officer to join the London, Southeast and East Team (LSE&E), within the Strategy, Learning Partnerships team (SLP). You will be part of a team, led by a Funding Manager and comprised of several other Funding Officers.

The LSE&E team is headed up by a Senior Head of Regional Funding, together with two Senior Grant Making Managers (SGMM) for London & South East. There are 5 local patches for the South East and East and 3 local patches for London.

SLP supports both LSE&E regional grant making, England wide grant making and Partnerships. SLP Funding Officers are involved in England Wide and Partnership Work beyond LSE&E and across England regions. They work with LSE&E colleagues, the Regional Leadership Team and England Wide.

SLP has a uniquely collaborative function, working together with local patches, the region as a whole and across England.

The SLP team purpose is to;

• Enable and lead grant making across geographical boundaries within the LSE&E region & across England
• Ensure intentional and responsive grant making responds to sector needs, is impactful, focused and mission aligned
• Build evidence & drive continuous learning and impact in the mission areas and our equity-based approach
• Provide regional leadership for external engagement, partnerships & funder collaborations & lead and / or support project teams across LSE&E and share best practice

Your Responsibilities:

In Responsive Grant Making, you will support the pipeline of ideas across two or more LSE&E local patches, assessing by The Fund's priorities and missions and using understanding of regional priorities.

Using regional priorities and new IMD data, you will be horizon scanning opportunities for intentional external engagement and contribute to the LSE&E Regional Funding Plans.

You will support the region to deliver to the new routes to partnership and England Wide funding. You will learn about and support the region with Funding Mechanisms that will enable flexible grant making.

You will have an interest in learning and act as the Regional Learning Lead (up to 20% of time – variable according to team / regional priorities).

With oversight from your manager, you will provide leadership to SLP learning and implement high quality and relevant learning & events that meet the strategic objectives of the region.

You will guide and support the LSE&E Mission Leads – these are a group of Funding Officers who support Learning across LSE&E.

You will support them to deliver on learning needs, priorities and events – and work collaboratively alongside the rest of SLP and the Regional Leadership Team (RLT).

In return we can offer the opportunity to develop relevant skills and gain experience working with one of the largest funders in the UK. You can progress to becoming a trained and skilled Funding Officer with good progression routes in the sector.

Working in SLP is a good opportunity to learn new skills work collaboratively across LSE&E and England Wide. It is an opportunity to hone your leadership skills, by supporting colleagues and working with the Regional Leadership Team to support strategic plans for the region.

• Lead the strategic development, delivery and growth of a portfolio of national fundraising event products, ensuring plans are insight-led and supporter-focused
• Act as the product expert and single point of contact, owning product master plans, resolving issues and driving stakeholder alignment across the charity

The Community Connectors programme is an exciting partnership between Community Links, Aston Mansfield, Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge, and the NHS East London Foundation Trust (ELFT).

Community Connectors work alongside ELFT under what is called the Mental Health Transformation Programme. The ethos of the programme is recovery focused, exploring needs through complexity (rather than diagnosis), a focus on a person’s strengths and assets, and on the wider determinants of health and wellbeing.

The role involves providing holistic support to people suffering from a serious mental illness or SMI. Service users will have a single or range of diagnosed conditions, will be known to ELFT and will therefore have a range of needs, including symptoms of anxiety or depression, or have a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Specifically, the Community Connector will work with multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) who sit within primary care networks or PCNs (clusters of GP practices) across Newham, and will support people in accessing appropriate local services, embodying a true example of wrap around support.

Above all, the Community Connector will be a strong networker who is able to engage multiple stakeholders for the betterment of service user welfare and outcomes.
