We are now seeking an Deputy CYP Lead to join our CYP Team at this pivotal time on a permanent basis.
As a specialist charity supporting survivors of sexual violence across twelve South London boroughs, we provide counselling, group therapy, advocacy, prevention education, and professional training. With an annual income of approximately £4 million, we are growing and strengthening our infrastructure to better serve survivors and communities.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and committed Deputy Children and Young People (CYP) Lead to support the development and delivery of our therapeutic services at a pivotal time of growth and transformation.
Reporting to the CYP Clinical Lead, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to CYP counsellors and therapists. You will help ensure that services for children and young people are consistently safe, effective, trauma-informed, and survivor-centred.
This is a varied and impactful role that combines clinical leadership, safeguarding oversight, service development, and line management. It offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to shaping, strengthening, and expanding high-quality CYP services.
What You’ll Do
- Support the CYP Clinical Lead with assessments, allocations and case distribution across CYP pathways
- Provide clinical guidance and day-to-day support to CYP counsellors and therapists
- Line manage allocated CYP staff and contribute to recruitment, induction and staff development
- Oversee group work programmes, including family support groups
- Undertake the role of Designated Safeguarding Officer for the CYP team
- Deputise as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead as part of the rota when required
- Provide guidance on complex safeguarding concerns and ensure appropriate escalation
- Contribute to service improvement, contract delivery and performance monitoring
- Build and maintain effective relationships with external agencies and partners
- Deputise for the CYP Clinical Lead where required
About You
Essential
- Degree-level qualification in counselling or psychotherapy (or equivalent experience)
Professional membership with an accredited counselling/psychotherapy body
Minimum of 200 hours post-qualification supervised client work
At least 3 years’ experience working with children and young people affected by rape and sexual violence
Experience leading or supporting a team
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation (children and adults)
Completed Level 3 safeguarding training
Experience in the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector
Understanding of trauma-informed, survivor-centred and feminist practice
Experience working with diverse communities
Ability to use data and outcomes to support service improvement
Desirable
- Experience working with marginalised or under-served communities
Knowledge of housing, welfare benefits or related legislationn

The role will focus on bringing the charity’s impact to life through powerful storytelling, creative campaigns, and compelling content that demonstrates how the charity supports people affected by cancer and invests in hospitals, healthcare services, and local communities.

We are recruiting two permanent Funding Officers in the South West: one full-time and one 0.9FTE (33.5 hours per week). Funding Officers in these roles will primarily be part of a South West regional team delivering our Reaching Communities programme, with opportunities to be involved with other programmes and aspects of the Fund’s wider operations as they arise. As a Funding Officer for the National Lottery Community Fund you will be integral to supporting the organisation to deliver our strategy It Starts With Community.
These roles will contribute to ensuring that vital funding reaches communities and projects who need it most in our region. As a Funding Officer you will work as part of our South West regional team, working day-to-day alongside fellow Funding Officers, supported by a Funding Manager.
Across the two posts we are looking for people who will provide support across the region, with a focus on developing relationships and being a key point of contact for either Exeter & East Devon or Swindon & Wiltshire.
Ideally (but not essentially) you will live in or near one of these areas and have good knowledge of the respective local area.

About Tadamon
Since the start of the genocide in Gaza, more than 1,300 Palestinians have arrived in Britain, with many hundreds more expected over the coming months and years. Some have arrived via boats and others as students or visitors unable to return home and forced to apply for asylum. Added to this are increasing numbers of students, injured children and their families who have been evacuated directly from Gaza to Britain.
Upon arrival they in dire need of support, but often instead find a hostile environment and a charitable sector decimated by legal aid cuts and with limited capacity to assist them. The support that is available has been provided on an ad hoc basis by the Palestinian community and other migrant and faith organisations.
Tadamon aims to formalise much of this ad hoc support, by extending more structured provisions for supporting the Palestinian community in Britain – particularly newly arrived Palestinian refugees and those from Gaza – through casework, community services, access to legal resources, advice and advocacy, mental health support, cultural connection, employment, language and skills training.
Purpose of the Role
Tadamon is seeking an experienced and compassionate Community Caseworker to join our small and growing team.
The postholder will work directly with Palestinian new arrivals, including asylum seekers, refugees, students unable to return home and evacuees from Gaza. Many of our community members are navigating trauma, loss, displacement and complex immigration processes.
The purpose of the role is to:
- Provide holistic, high-quality casework support and advocacy.
- Ensure community members can access safe housing, legal representation (via referral), healthcare, education and welfare support.
- Reduce isolation and strengthen community engagement.
- Support Tadamon’s volunteers and mentors to deliver coordinated and culturally grounded support.
- Contribute to Tadamon’s development as a new and growing charity.
This role does not involve the provision of any regulated immigration advice or medical advice. The caseworker will provide information, advocacy and referrals to appropriately regulated legal and medical professionals.
Tadamon is committed to building internal immigration advice capacity. We are keen to support the successful candidate, where appropriate, to work towards accreditation with the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), subject to organisational need and funding, and in line with relevant regulatory requirements which we hope to work towards meeting in due course.

Casework & Direct Support

We’re looking for an IPS Employment Specialist to join our East Kent IPS Service covering Thanet, Folkestone, Hythe & Romney Marsh, Canterbury, Dover, Deal and Ashford. You’ll work one‑to‑one with people who want to find or return to paid employment, helping them identify their goals, build confidence, and secure roles that align with their skills and aspirations.
This is a Part Time (21 Hours) role with a salary of £13,796.24 pro rata.
This is a rewarding, dynamic role where no two days are the same. You’ll work in the community, meet people where they are, and build strong relationships with employers and local partners to open real opportunities within the hidden labour market.
What you’ll do
As an Employment Specialist, you will:
- Work alongside individuals to understand their employment goals and create personalised vocational plans.
- Support people to find and keep paid work that reflects their strengths, interests and ambitions.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, identifying opportunities and advocating for reasonable adjustments where needed.
- Provide in‑work support to help individuals thrive in their roles.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the IPS team and local services to ensure consistent, recovery‑focused support.
- Promote the value of employment in mental health recovery across your allocated East Kent area.
- Maintain effective records, manage referrals, and contribute to the smooth running of the service.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting people into employment or helping others overcome barriers to work.
- Understands mental health challenges and has experience in social care, support services or community-based roles.
- Can build positive relationships with a wide range of people, including employers, colleagues and service users.
- Is empathetic, proactive and comfortable working independently across a dispersed geography.
- Is organised, flexible and able to respond calmly to unexpected challenges.
- Has strong awareness of risk management, safeguarding and confidentiality.
- Holds — or is working towards — a Level 3 qualification relevant to care, community mental health or social support (or equivalent experience).
Experience delivering community projects, facilitating training, or developing workshops is desirable but not essential.

We're looking for an inspirational people person to join us as a Assistant Shop Manager in our Preston Furniture shop. This is an exciting opportunity, and we'd like you to join us to help raise vital funds for homeless and badly housed people.
You will work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure the shop looks welcoming, visually appealing and the team of volunteers are motivated and keen to engage with customers and maximise sales.
About the role
You will assist the Shop Manager in the recruitment, support and development of a strong community focused shop team and empower them to maximise Shelter's income. Representing Shelter in your local community, ensuring that you and your team share your knowledge of Shelter's cause with customers, volunteers, donors and potential Shelter clients will also be important aspects of the role. You will always ensure a safe, clean, bright and happy environment for your team to work in and for your customers to shop in, in turn attracting potential donors and volunteers.
About you
You are a naturally energetic person with an enthusiasm for managing and empowering people. You know how to recruit and develop a team of volunteers, and your extraordinary motivational skills will enable you to inspire your team to increase sales and control costs. Above all, you are ready to take on a new challenge and have a keen interest in Shelter's cause.
