As Financial Accountant, you'll be a key member of the Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller. You'll manage a small team of two direct reports and take ownership of critical financial processes that underpin Kew's operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the Financial Accounting function – leading your team to maintain accurate financial records, approving journals, overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, managing Kew's Fixed Asset Register, and ensuring month-end deadlines are consistently met
• Year-end accounts and audit – preparing Kew's Annual Report and Accounts (including SORP-compliant financial statements), managing the Enterprises subsidiary accounts, and acting as a key liaison with the National Audit Office
• Taxation and compliance – managing preparation and submission of VAT, direct tax and Gift Aid returns, providing expert advice to colleagues across Kew on complex tax issues, and liaising with HMRC and external advisors
• Treasury and cash management – supporting the Financial Controller with cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and treasury operations
• Kew Foundation – managing financial accounting services for this separate charity, including balance sheet reconciliations, investment accounting, and preparation of annual accounts and audit support
• Systems management – providing first-level support for our Unit 4 Agresso system, managing user access and permissions, and driving system improvements

About you

You'll be a professionally qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience in financial accounting within a complex organisation, ideally from the commercial or not-for-profit sector.

You'll bring:

• Strong knowledge of charity financial reporting and statutory accounts preparation
• Experience managing taxation requirements including VAT, Gift Aid and employment status determinations
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
• The ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (Agresso experience highly desirable)
• A collaborative approach and the resilience to manage competing priorities and deadlines

The Bexley SASS team provides advocacy and support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse living in Bexley. An exciting opportunity has arisen in this busy team for a Family IDVA. This includes a package of support covering crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning. A key aspect of the role will be to advocate on behalf of service users pursuing remedies through the criminal and civil justice systems.

About the Role

Independent Domestic Abuse Advocates provide a proactive service to survivors of domestic abuse identified as being at high risk of imminent harm.

As a Family IDVA your focus will be supporting survivors with two or more children. You will carry out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and support planning with survivors and advocate on their behalf with external agencies. You look at the children’s needs and signpost them to appropriate services. 

You will support the family (where safe) to remain in their own home with the support of Solace’s Sanctuary Scheme to ensure the risk is reduced and/or negated or you will advocate on their behalf for appropriate safe accommodation.

You will hold a caseload for up to three months and will provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning; engaging them in other services for additional support.

About You

You will need a thorough understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support and strong casework management skills.

You will have the skills to provide effective crisis intervention, carry out risk assessments, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning. You should have demonstrable experience of working in an IDVA or similar position with this or a similar client group.

The Generous Giving Manager is a very exciting and influential role at the Diocese, as you will build on the strong and energetic foundations within our two-person Generous Giving Team to strengthen the financial sustainability of local churches by encouraging generosity in time, talents and financial giving.

Working closely with deaneries, parishes and their leadership teams, you will identify local challenges and opportunities for generous giving, sharing innovative giving practices to help parishes and deaneries develop creative and effective ways to resource their mission.

Communicating clearly and inspiringly the principles of Christian giving to diverse audiences, you will keep up to date with National Church resources, promoting and supporting a wide range of giving methods such as the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS), online and contactless giving. All other working hours can be managed with flexibility by the post holder to ensure that meetings with partners and colleagues, plus administrative tasks, are completed as required. You will be expected to work at least four days a week.

About the role

As Head of Health and Safety, you will lead the design and delivery of an organisation-wide health and safety strategy that embeds a proactive, people-centred safety culture across Save the Children UK. You will strengthen governance and compliance, oversee incident and risk management, and ensure our systems and training empower every colleague to play their part in keeping themselves and others safe.

In this role, you will:
• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Health & Safety framework and management system aligned with UK legislation and best practice.
• Embed a proactive, positive safety culture where all colleagues understand and take ownership of health and safety.
• Oversee governance and assurance, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and alignment with SCUK's risk and compliance functions.
• Manage incident reporting, investigation, and learning processes, ensuring continuous improvement and transparency.
• Lead and develop the Health & Safety team, acting as SCUK's “Competent Person” and trusted advisor to senior leaders.
• Design and implement H&S training and competence frameworks to ensure staff, volunteers, and managers are equipped for their roles.

About you

We're looking for a Health & Safety leader with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills who is excited to deliver true impact. 

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent, with demonstrable competence as a Health & Safety leader.
• Significant experience in a senior H&S role, ideally in a complex multi-site organisation (e.g., retail, charity, facilities, or commercial).
• Proven track record of developing and embedding H&S management systems and delivering cultural change.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation, risk management frameworks, and compliance obligations.
• Experience managing serious incidents, investigations, and regulatory engagement.
• Skilled communicator, able to influence senior leaders and engage volunteers and frontline staff.
• Experience building and leading H&S teams, including developing others' competence.
• Knowledge of security, and safeguarding interactions with H&S.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 or similar management systems.
• Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with leaders and influence at all levels.
• Commitment to inclusivity, wellbeing, and a “people first” approach.

Location & Ways of Working:

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but at times you will be required to come to your contracted office (usually between 2–4 days per month, depending on the needs of your role, team, or service). For many roles, this is likely to be the minimum required to deliver impact. This role will also require some travel to other offices and retail sites across the UK.

This will be discussed and agreed with your manager / team and we encourage candidates to discuss our ways of working in more detail at interview stage.
