We're looking for a driven Direct Marketing Manager - Acquisition on a 12-month fixed term contract to lead our donor recruitment programme and inspire the UK public to support our life changing work for the first time.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the full acquisition journey across multiple channels while contributing directly to major emergency responses through Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) appeals.

This is a hands on role in a small, passionate team, with the space to innovate and directly influence our future supporter programme.

We offer hybrid working, with a minimum of one day a week in our London office (including one Thursday of the month for our Age International 'all-staff' days).

We are seeking an experienced humanitarian health operations professional to join our team. As our new Operations Manager you will join a newly created Operations function and play a key role in its development and success. Humanitarian health needs are growing. UK-Med is an NGO providing emergency health support in times of crisis and humanitarian emergencies. We provide clinical support, as well as training and capacity building for health professionals around the world, with particular focus on countries vulnerable to outbreaks, natural disasters or with weakened health systems due to complex emergencies. We provide humanitarian health surge support to health systems facing exceptional challenges. What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a confident, experienced fundraiser to lead major-gift fundraising — securing transformational gifts from high-net-worth individuals while building wealth-adviser relationships that generate referral leads. You’ll own the full pipeline: prospecting, cultivation, making direct asks, closing and stewardship.

The ideal candidate will be excited to cultivate networks of wealth managers, private-client teams and other advisers to HNWIs, and to convert adviser introductions into committed support. You’ll also prospect independently for major gifts outside those referral streams.

To succeed you’ll master three distinct fundraising pitches: a business case for advisers; an impact case to persuade donors to support our portfolio charities; and a systems-change case to win backing for GRP’s operating costs (salaries, office costs, etc) to keep the charity running fee-free.

You’ll be comfortable making direct asks for funding, with evidence of having closed high-value gifts or multi-year commitments. You’ll be willing to roll up your sleeves and get hands-on with everyday cultivation tasks. You’ll thrive in a small team, taking initiative and juggling priorities. Experience required:

Substantial experience in frontline major gifts fundraising (as a guide, likely 5+ years), or an exceptional track record in adjacent fields (private client advisory, philanthropy advisory, etc).

• Develop initiatives to generate adviser referrals (events, webinars, co-branded materials) and track referral performance.
• Target and visit high-potential jurisdictions (e.g. Jersey, Guernsey) and other adviser hubs (est. once per month).

Major gifts to GRP’s operating costs

• Prospect, cultivate and convert major gifts to GRP’s core operating costs.
• Prepare business-case and budget materials that explain the strategic case for core funding.
• Pursue appropriate institutional core funders (trusts, foundations, family foundations) and draft proposals where needed.

Location: Centrally located, light and airy office on Regent Street, London. Minimum one day per week in the office. Approx. one day London/UK travel per week.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Oxford Skylight as a Receptionist. You will be there to welcome people who are homeless seeking advice and start the process of helping them to end their homelessness.

You will support the team to manage a busy working environment, welcoming and supporting a range of people including new Skylight members, current members, members of the public using the café or arts facilities, staff, Crisis volunteers and visitors. You will provide administrative support for this fast and responsive service to those newly presenting as homeless. You will also carry out administration and housekeeping functions relating to the customer service and facilities management of the Old Fire Station. This role is based onsite with no option for homeworking.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be highly organised with experience of working within a reception or administrative support role, as well as experience providing a high standard of customer service. We are looking for someone who understand the issues faced by homeless people and is excited to learn about the ways we can support them. You will be able to deal with challenging situations and individuals with a range of needs, to reach a positive resolution through a calm and confident approach.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully with disadvantaged or socially excluded groups and individuals. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written will be key, as well as working collaboratively within a team. As you will be the first point of contact for many people, you need to be friendly, enjoy helping and be willing to learn about Crisis and all the other activities taking place within the building.

FIGS is a relatively small UK-based charity with a strong national reputation and a substantial impact, demonstrating what high-quality girls’ education can achieve in South Sudan. FIGS works closely with Windle Trust International, which provides technical, financial and organisational support to the school in South Sudan. 

FIGS raises approximately £500,000 each year to meet the running and development costs of IGBS and FIGS. Fundraising and effective communications are therefore central to our mission. We are a small team and are looking for someone who will thrive in a varied role, is proactive, organised, and capable of handling multiple demands, with a readiness to learn and take on additional responsibilities. 

The Role 

This role involves supporting both fundraising and communications activities, alongside essential administrative functions. The Fundraising and Communications Officer will play a key role in implementing FIGS’ fundraising and communications plans, supporting donor engagement, campaigns, events, and day-to-day operational administration. You will be working closely with our Head of Fundraising and Communications, ensuring that FIGS has the resources to continue to support the education and boarding of over 320 marginalised girls in South Sudan.

The role is home-based but requires the ability and willingness to travel to fundraising and supporter events across the UK, including occasional evenings and weekends. 

FIGS is a trustee-led charity, with an active and engaged Board that plays a hands-on role in governance, strategy, fundraising and ambassadorial work. Trustees bring a wide range of experience, including diplomacy, international development, education, finance and communications, and work closely with staff to ensure the charity is well-run, accountable and effective. 

While Trustees retain strategic oversight and are closely involved in key decisions, FIGS also has a small paid staff team responsible for day-to-day operations, fundraising delivery and communications. The culture is collaborative and supportive, with regular interaction between Trustees and staff, and a shared commitment to the success of Ibba Girls Boarding School. 

The staff team currently consists of: 

• Head of Fundraising and Communications, responsible for overall fundraising strategy, communications, donor relationships and line management 

• Fundraising and Communications Officer (this role), supporting the delivery of fundraising and communications activity, donor engagement and essential administrative functions 

Staff work remotely within the UK and collaborate closely online, with regular team meetings and clear priorities. In South Sudan, Windle Trust International acts as FIGS’ managing agent, providing professional management and operational oversight of Ibba Girls Boarding School. 

This role sits at the heart of FIGS’ fundraising and communications work. You will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications, interact regularly with Trustees (particularly around campaigns, events and reporting), and help ensure that systems, supporter engagement and communications run smoothly and professionally. 

The role is well-suited to someone who enjoys working in a small, mission-driven organisation, is comfortable with a degree of trustee involvement, and values collaboration, clarity and shared responsibility. 

Key Responsibilities 

Fundraising and Communications 

•  Support fundraising plan delivery: Assist in achieving income targets and KPIs, including helping to draft grant applications and end-of-project reports. 

• Campaign and appeal support: Assist with planning and delivery of fundraising campaigns and appeals (digital and postal). 

• Donor communications: Draft and support newsletters, blogs, appeals, event invitations, and other donor communications

• Relationship-building: Support engagement with individual donors, community groups, churches, schools, and other supporters 

• Events support: Assist with organisation, promotion, and delivery of webinars and in-person fundraising/supporter events. 

• Online presence: Help maintain and develop FIGS website, email marketing, social media content, and video content. 

• Donor stewardship: Ensure supporters are thanked promptly and follow-up actions are completed in line with policy. 

• Ambassadorship: Represent FIGS positively in communications and at events. 

Administration and Fundraising Support 

• Database and record maintenance: Update CRM and administrative records. 

• Administrative support for campaigns and events: Help coordinate fundraising activities and materials. 

• Communications materials coordination: Maintain photo/video archive, collateral, and documentation. 

• Administrative support for smooth running: Ad hoc tasks as agreed with Head of Fundraising and Communications. 

• Trustee and volunteer support: Practical arrangements for events and supporter engagement. 

• Support Head of Fundraising and Communications with monthly fundraising and communications reports

• Gift Aid and basic financial support (future): Assist with processing if needed. 

• Team meetings: Prepare for and attend weekly online meetings. 

And other duties from time to time as set out by the line manager.

Person Specification 

Essential

• Experience in fundraising, communications, charity administration or a closely related role. 

• Experience of fundraising from Trusts and Foundations, digital fundraising, email fundraising, or demonstrable transferable skills. 

• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and engagingly for different audiences. 

• Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail. 

• Confidence in using databases/CRMs, email marketing platforms and standard office software. 

• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, GDPR and good practice in supporter data management. 

• Ability to work independently from home and manage competing priorities. 

• UK-based, with the ability and willingness to travel to events across the UK. 

• Commitment to FIGS’ values and to the importance of girls’ education. 

Desirable 

• Experience supporting or delivering digital fundraising campaigns. 

• Experience of fundraising in a small charity environment. 

• Experience of video editing for communications purposes. 

• Experience supporting events (online or in-person).

Andover Mind is one of the leading mental health providers in Hampshire. Our Safe Haven service supports those in mental health crisis in Basingstoke and mid Hampshire in our calm, safe and welcoming space. The service is covered 7 evenings a week from 5.30pm to 10.30pm, 365 days a year (including bank holidays) on a rolling 4 week rota, and is based at our Wellbeing facility in Basingstoke.

As our Safe Haven Manager you will play a vital role ensuring our successful service with delivering high-quality, effective, and compassionate support that continues to run efficiently, thus maintaining the level of care and quality of support currently being provided by Andover Mind.

Using your management experience within mental health, you will drive innovation to enhance our services and standards, managing daily operations, including staff rota and service flow. You will also be the driver for our partnership working with the other Safe Havens and NHS organisations.

Using your knowledge of working within the mental health sector and previous management experience you will manage your teams ensuring processes and policies are adhered to. You will build upon professional links and represent our service with external agencies and regulatory bodies, using your ability to communicate to promote Andover Mind.

The role also requires being part of an out of hours on call rota- this is paid additionally to the annual salary.

YMCAis our child sexual exploitation project which works with children and young people across Sussex and Surrey. Our primary focus of work is supporting young people affected by exploitation through raising awareness, education and empowerment.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the WiSE team as a Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Practitioner. You will work alongside the Service Manager, Early Intervention Worker and two other practitioners, co-located at Staines Police Station with the Exploitation Team. The role involves a significant amount of lone working with frequent travel across Surrey to see clients and attend meetings, with occasional travel further afield.

In delivering the role, you will involve carrying a caseload of young people aged 10-25 who are vulnerable to sexual or criminal exploitation, providing intensive, client-centred care and working closely with professionals across agencies.

Key responsibilities are:

• Manage a caseload of vulnerable young people and supporting them to stay safe and leave the influence of perpetrators
• Work with other professionals to deliver tailored care packages and provide consultation
•  Maintain accurate case records and contributing to timely reports
•  Liaise with Children’s Services, Surrey Police and other agencies to disrupt abuse and support prosecutions
• Deliver training and awareness-raising workshops to professionals and foster carers
• Contribute to strategic development and deputising at relevant meetings

This is a challenging role where children and young people do not always identify the level of risk they are exposed to or the abusive nature of the relationships they are in. The support of victims can be distressing and emotionally demanding for the workers, consequently 1-to-1 clinical supervision, weekly team meetings and regular line management supervision of cases and wellbeing.

Housing:

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team

Coaching and Engagement:

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance)

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, have experience in a large charity settings or a global businesses and be confident in managing a finance function. This includes overall responsibility for operational finance, management accounts, budgeting, statutory reporting and treasury. Demonstrated expertise in ERP platform, preferably NetSuite, and supporting operations across a global organisation will also be key.
