The Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Finance Officer to join our Support Services Directorate. You will play a key role in maintaining NEA’s financial systems, supporting accurate reporting and ensuring the organisation has the strong financial foundations needed to deliver its mission.

What you’ll be doing

· Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date accounting records

· Process and review financial transactions, including invoices, journals and payments

· Support statutory compliance across areas such as PAYE, NI, VAT and Gift Aid

· Assist with monthly management accounts, reconciliations and annual financial statements

· Provide clear, accessible financial information to colleagues across NEA

· Contribute to improvements in financial systems, processes and controls

· Provide cover and support across the Finance Team when required

Your work will directly support NEA's ability to operate effectively, meet statutory requirements and deliver high-quality services to households experiencing fuel poverty.

What you will need to succeed

You will bring:

· A minimum qualification of AAT Level 3

· Knowledge and experience of financial accounting software, Sage Payroll 50 or equivalent Payroll systems, and Microsoft Excel

· Experience of VAT, PAYE, NI and pension information/returns

· Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines

· The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance colleagues

· A commitment to professional development and NEA’s mission to end fuel poverty

Desirable:

· Knowledge of charity finance

· Understanding of fuel poverty and its impacts

· Experience within a support services environment

This is a hybrid role based at NEA’s Newcastle office, with a minimum of one day per week on site. 

Hybrid and home working are subject to necessary H&S and GDPR compliance checks. Post holders must be resident within the UK and be able to provide their Right to Work in the UK.

Finance Officer (Income)
Salary: £36,000 per annum
Hours: 33.75 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9.15am–5.00pm)

Are you an experienced Finance Officer with strong income reconciliation skills and experience working with CRM or membership systems?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established professional membership organisation for a Finance Officer to join their collaborative finance team during an exciting period of systems transformation. The Role

This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who is confident working independently, interrogating data, investigating discrepancies and identifying practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile income across bank accounts, CRM and finance systems.

• Manage direct debit collections, refunds and income allocations.

About You


You will be someone who enjoys working with large volumes of data and can confidently investigate issues, identify trends and propose improvements.
Experience dealing with membership fees, subscriptions, deferred income or similar recurring income streams would be highly advantageous.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

The Associate Solicitor will conduct civil litigation in Britain and oversee cases in England and Wales. The role requires a qualified solicitor with experience of running litigious cases. We are seeking to expand our work in Britain to include civil discrimination claims, actions against the state, and media law work. The post-holder will have particular expertise in one or more of these areas. Our cases also involve data rights, freedom of information, charity law, education law, international humanitarian law, and defamation issues. The post holder will join a growing team that consists of a Senior Legal Officer, Legal Officer and a Junior Legal Officer. Duties and Responsibilities 

• Conduct civil litigation and advisory casework in Britain alongside our legal team and legal network. Provide expert legal advice and representation, to individual clients and movement partners.
• Provide training and feedback to junior legal staff as appropriate. Collaborate closely with our legal network of solicitors and counsel with the goal of strengthening the wider movement.
• Develop and advance new legal strategies for challenging state and non-state repression of advocacy for Palestine in consultation with our legal network, national partners and experts.
• Support the development of effective advocacy campaigns to increase the impact of litigation outside the courtroom.
• Support ELSC’s outreach and public engagement initiatives. 

Required experience, knowledge and skills 

• 3-5 years + post-qualified experience (PQE) and admitted to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales. 
• Experience leading on a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters in civil litigation, particularly actions against the state, media and/or privacy law. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice on complex issues in a comprehensible and appropriate format. 
• An ability to engage with the law critically and develop strategies that serve broader political objectives. Track record of collaborating well with other lawyers, academics and civil society organisations. 
• Excellent client care skills, particularly in relation to vulnerable or marginalised clients. 
• Experience in a role which requires coordination of multiple projects and/or workstreams concurrently, and the ability to manage relationships with partner organisations, coalitions and counsel. 
• High level of English-language proficiency. 
• Commitment to the Palestinian liberation and solidarity movement. 

Desirable experience, skills and knowledge 

• Experience working with campaigning and advocacy organisations. 
• Experience with supervision and organisational development. 
• Understanding of and experience working with a variety of local, national, and international jurisdictions, including those governed by common law or civil law.

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team in the Resources directorate, providing key financial support to business units within the Development team and our trading subsidiary Clio Enterprises Limited (Clio), whose primary purpose is venue sales in regard to our premises, 10-11 Carlton House Terrace.

The role

The Finance Business Partner role works closely with other members of the Finance team and in particular business partnering with colleagues from Venue Sales and Development. The Finance Team is a friendly team, part of the Academy’s Resources Directorate comprising Finance, HR, IT and Facilities along with Clio. We take great pride in supporting our colleagues in the Academy, providing an accurate and prompt service to all customers to the department. A core duty of the role is to take the lead in financial management and reporting for both Clio and the Development team. This will include:

At BHF, our brand is one of our most valuable assets. As Senior Brand Executive, you'll play a key role in protecting, championing and embedding our brand across the charity, helping colleagues create communications that are consistent, compelling and unmistakably BHF.

Drawing on a strong understanding of BHF’s strategy, objectives, brand challenges and project priorities, you'll work with teams across the organisation to bring our visual identity, tone of voice and brand principles to life, ensuring ever interaction strengthens trust, engagement and impact.

Working collaboratively with Brand Manager you'll:

• Review and approve campaigns, copy, and creative assets, ensuring projects across the organisations aligns with brand guidelines and best practice. 
• Champion BHF's brand, visual identity and tone of voice, providing expert advice and guidance across thorganisation. 
  Lead and develop our Brand Champions network, empowering colleagues to embed brand best practice and consistency across BHF. 
• Work closely with internal teams, agencies and stakeholders to shape briefs, provide feedback and develop high-quality, integrated communications and creative solutions,
• Manage key brand tools, processes and resources, helping colleagues access and apply our brand effectively. 

• Use insights and performance data to identify opportunities, improve brand effectiveness and share recommendations with stakeholders.

About you

 
Our ideal candidate will have experience of brand management, including approval across copy, creative work and agency outputs, combined with strong relationship-building and project management skills. 

You'll bring:

• Experience working within a brand management, brand governance or communications environment, ideally for a large organisation or charity. 
• Strong knowledge of brand management principles, visual identity, copywriting and integrated communications. 
  Strong experience reviewing and approving assets, constructively challenging work that does not align with brand guidelines, providing clear feedback and approving output. 
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities while working with stakeholders, agencies and creative teams. 
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to provide constructive challenge and build strong relationships at all levels. 
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, alongside exceptional organisation, attention to detail and a passion for great creative work.

Working arrangements  

This is a fixed term contract until October 2027 covering a secondment.

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About the Role

Daylight Women’s Day Centre is an exciting new service providing a place of safety and support for women who are long term rough sleepers in London. We want to reach women who have experienced abuse, mental illness, addiction, poor physical health, unclear immigration status and homelessness.  Our support will improve their health and wellbeing and enable them to move away from the streets.

Daylight has been designed based on findings from the CHAIN rough sleeping data for London and the Women’s Rough Sleeping Census.    This evidence highlights the importance of single gender services for women who hide from mainstream provision dominated by men.  Daylight will reflect the Connection Theory of Change, building relationships of trust with people who have no confidence in most health and social care services. Therefore, Trauma Informed Care lies at the heart of everything we do.

Working with the Daylight Service Manager, you will manage a team of staff and volunteers to set up, pilot and deliver this vital new service in a central London location. The service will include a combination of practical facilities such as showers and a laundry, health and wellbeing resources to minimise the harm associated with rough sleeping and support to move into accommodation.  We may develop additional aspects to the service as resources become available.

You will have experience in delivering psychologically, gender and culturally informed services to people who are experiencing street homelessness. You will use this experience to build relationships of trust with clients.  This will include a commitment to embedding co-production so that the service continues to improve and evolve.  You will facilitate in reach services predominantly with a health and harm minimisation focus and develop positive partnerships with external agencies.  You will also set up and oversee a group work programme.  You will provide strength-based and solution focused one to one support for women to move away from the streets.

Through compassionate and proactive management, you will help build a high performing, well organised and creative team who are passionate about supporting very vulnerable women away from the streets.

Salary: £41,599 - £45,097 (scale Points 26-30)

The Role

To provide a high-quality housing management and health and safety service, acting as a primary point of contact for tenants and delivering excellent customer service. The role includes managing tenancies, carrying out health and safety inspections and compliance checks, maintaining accurate records, promoting tenant responsibilities, and taking enforcement action where required. The postholder is expected to spend approximately 70% of their time at CIHA’s managed accommodation, ensuring effective tenancy management and compliance with health and safety standards. The working hours for this role is 35 hours per week Monday-Friday. Flexible working conversations are welcomed as part of the interview process.
