You will work with the Assistant Principal Learner Services to define, articulate and
implement our shared vision and values of the college to support learners with additional
needs in achieving their expected outcomes. You will also work with the Dean of the
Apprenticeship programme to ensure adult learners with additional needs are supported by
teaching staff and in their work placements.
You will hold a key role in the college and are expected to demonstrate outstanding skills in
working with the leadership team, parents and carers, external agencies and learners to
implement the strategic vision of the college, working with these individuals and groups to
ensure we provide a high quality of education to our learners with additional needs.
You will be accountable for ensuring that exam access arrangements are organised to meet
the needs of learners, annual reviews are completed for learners with EHCPs, ALS with the
Apprenticeship team and work alongside the pastoral team and teaching staff to implement
and make them aware of training and teaching strategies that support learners with
additional needs, and that reasonable adjustments for these learners are in place. In addition
to help administer the high needs funding claims with the Assistant Principal and Finance
department and MIS.
Key Responsibilities:
● Strategic Leadership
○ Develop and implement a comprehensive ALS strategy aligned with the
college’s vision and values.
○ Oversee the effective allocation and utilisation of resources, including High
Needs and EHCP Funding.
○ Monitor and evaluate the impact of ALS interventions and initiatives, driving
continuous improvement.
○ Foster a culture of inclusivity and support for learners with additional needs.
○ Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to advocate for SEND provision
and secure necessary resources.
● Operational Management
○ Line supervise the work of a team of 4 Learning Support Assistants, providing
guidance, support, and performance feedback.
○ Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ALS team, ensuring efficient and
effective service delivery.
○ Co-ordinate the allocation of caseloads and workload distribution within the
team and creating support plans
○ Develop and implement robust systems and processes for identifying,
assessing, and supporting learners with additional needs.
○ Ensure compliance with relevant SEND legislation, Policies and regulations.
● Collaboration and Partnership
○ Work closely with the Assistant Principal Learner Services, the Dean of the
Apprenticeship programme, and other key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive
and coordinated approach to SEND provision.
○ Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, including local
authorities, health professionals, and specialist support services.
○ Engage with parents/carers, providing regular communication and
opportunities for involvement.
● Staff Development
○ Lead and facilitate professional development opportunities for the ALS team,
ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to support learners
effectively.
○ Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
Essential:
○ Proven experience in a leadership or co-ordination role within a SEND or ALS
context.
○ Be educated to Level 3 standard.
○ In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
○ Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing learners with
additional needs in a further education setting.
○ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
○ Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team.
● Desirable:
○ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
○ Experience working in a further education college.
○ Knowledge of the digital skills sector.

Role Purpose
This role is focused on maximising comms-based engagement across the GDI Hub’s portfolio, supporting GDI Hub’s growing outreach and impact.
The post holder will work closely across GDI Hub comms team to support communications delivery across the organisational portfolio – with a focus on key regular outputs, creative content, websites, reactive queries and organisational communications. This role will involve both administrative tasks, and creative content generation, at an anticipated volume of 50% per area.
The post holder will also provide key communications and engagement support for the Disabled Leaders Network. Run by the GDI Hub, the Disabled Leaders Network is a member led, dynamic group of emerging global talent. Communications support includes digital events, managing social media and the network channels, and regular newsletters.
Across all elements of the role, the successful candidate will need to work collaboratively and dynamically. Responsibilities will include creative content generation, design, copy writing, film/photography, newsletters - alongside more administration and operational activities such as enquiry response, proof reading, and website updates. This role will work closely alongside members of the GDI Hub team, with some interactions with external partners, collaborators and stakeholders. This role will also support with event delivery – digital and in person.
We are looking for a candidate with strong administrative, communications and digital skills, including experience with social media and design. The candidate will need to deliver public facing communication outputs, while also building personable relationships. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential, as it a streamlined, can-do approach.
Role Responsibilities:
Administrative support
- Assisting across the day-to-day functions of GDI – from uploading of publications, to updating websites, proof-reading and formatting documents
Enquiries and incoming requests
- Responsible for incoming channels, to provide timely responses and streamline engagement mechanisms
Social media
- Development of rich content, including social and digital assets – using photography and film, alongside a strong understanding of design.
Creative content
- Creating infographics, factsheets, presentations, web page development and e-newsletters, project and programme deliverables, reports, tools and dissemination of academic publications
Website content
- Manage edits and requests
- Generate content and outputs
Audience development
- Build social media followers and engagement through the development of content, re-sharing and profiling of partners and stakeholders, and engagement with followers
Content capture
- Be confident in capturing images and film content from mobile devices
- Able to edit photos and video
Design
- Create branded documents, assets and publications
- Deliver accessible design outputs
Disabled Leaders Network
- Provide socials media, website and digital event support and expertise to the Disabled Leaders Network.
- Lead Disabled Leaders Network Committee roles aligned to communications
- Create Disabled Leaders Network newsletter and digital correspondence.

- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to a variety of audiences, including the Grants Committee and Trustees.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with a strong eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experience with a CRM or grants management system.
- A proactive and professional approach, with a genuine passion for youth development and the Air Cadet Charity's mission.

The Role

As the Senior Legacy Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for helping shape and deliver the legacy and in-memory giving fundraising programme that will maximise the lifetime value of supporters. This role will be responsible for managing a small team and overseeing budget of £600k and an income target of £240k. With a varied legacy marketing programme, this role will focus on both the acquisition and retention of legacy supporters and work across a range of channels including direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV, digital, events, and Free Will products.
The successful candidate will have proven experience within legacy marketing and have a strong understanding of direct marketing across a range of audiences. They will be confident in planning, delivering, and evaluating legacy marketing campaigns, and be able to make strategic decisions based on audience insights. Ideally, this person will have previous line management experience and have managed project budgets and expenditures.

Key Responsibilities
Oversight of the Spear Programme
- As a confident communicator, you will lead group sessions of around 10 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work
- Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Coach
- Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education
Partnership liaison and relationship management
- Establish the primary local referral agencies and steward relationships with these, overseeing and building a strategy to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective
- Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network
Line Management and training
- Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development
- Be line managed by Resurgo on Spear Programme performance and ongoing operations of the centre, and report back on KPIs
Church Community
- The Spear Centre Manager is directly employed by Alive Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
- You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members and help the Spear Coach to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme
- Ensure the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services
Site management
- Work with the Church to coordinate the training room and any infrastructure needs for the Spear Centre
- Liaise with relevant staff locally on-site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

OVERVIEW OF THE POST
The Youth & Communities Programme Manager provides leadership and management for the youth & communities team and their programme of work, driving quality delivery and growth.

Delivery

We’re looking for a Senior STH Practitioner who can manage the delivery of high quality and effective Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) programmes in London for adults and young people with a range of disabilities and health conditions.
We’re looking for candidates who have proven experience of managing a team and an understanding of how STH programmes can benefit individuals and improve lives. We need someone with horticultural knowledge and experience to plan the seasonal horticultural resources required for our programs and delivery spaces.
Based at Thrive’s London centre in Battersea Park. Some days will be spent at outreach centres within London, requiring some travel. The role will involve occasional travel to the Thrive Centres in Reading and Birmingham.
