Job description

About us

Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

About the role

This new role is a key addition to the New Developments Team whose mission is to help employees and other stakeholders understand, manage and adopt organisational change. Our team provides direct project and change management services for key strategic initiatives and we are responsible for building capabilities across the organisations to help drive greater benefit realisation and achieve better results and outcomes.

As our Change Manager you will be responsible for developing our organisational change management approach so that we have a range of scalable change management activities and tools for project leaders and business managers.

Your efforts will directly contribute to key initiatives so that they have the greatest possible impact on ending homelessness. In this role, you will develop and implement strategies that drive adoption, understanding and proficiency with changes aimed at ensuring the organisation is fully prepared for the future, adaptable and digitally-enabled.

Initially this will see you supporting our efforts to improve the way we do business planning as well as supporting the development of our organisational digital and data strategy. However you will also have plenty of opportunity to also get involved in front-line projects that evolve our direct services and Christmas activity to end more peoples homelessness for good.

About you

We are looking for someone who is delivery focused with high energy and drive, who is able to work independently and is comfortable liaising with all levels of the organisation.

The ideal candidate for this role will:

-Have proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional change which drives organisational improvements
-Have very strong stakeholder management skills at all levels, from exec to front line employees, and can create engaging communications (both in written and verbal form)
-Be able to identify impacted stakeholder needs in the areas of training and communications
-Be able to think holistically and analytically and know when to take which approach.
