We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join our successful Project Support Team.

You will:

• Provide an effective finance service for Barnet Mencap
• Have good interpersonal skills working as part of the administrative team
• Ensure the timely payment of invoices, bills and maintain accurate finance records

About the Role

We are seeking a Family Service Manager to lead our flagship family service based in HMP Altcourse. This is an ideal opportunity if you are seeking a hands-on role within a prison setting, who is confident in working in complex environments and wants to create meaningful change within punitive systems. You will lead a multidisciplinary team who deliver high-quality, therapeutically informed, arts-based work with men in prison and their families. You will bring together creative group interventions, bespoke family counselling services, and day-to-day practical family support within a complex prison environment. 

As the Family Service Manager, you will lead a team of Programme Co-Ordinator's, Facilitators, Family Counsellors, a Deputy Service Manager, and other appropriate staff. The team deliver programmes such as Fathers Inside and Man Up which have received national recognition and have been delivered nationally across custodial and community settings. The role requires leadership experience, managing a diverse team, with line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to the participants of our programmes and their families. You will work closely with prison and Sodexo colleagues, as well as other internal SIG teams to ensure innovative, safe, and compassionate service delivery.

The Christian Young Leaders Programme is a new workstream focused on equipping, resourcing, and commissioning 4,500 young leaders (school years 9-13) for mission and ministry with children and young people by 2030. These young leaders will join the programme through churches, youth work, and educational settings, contributing to 15% of the overall 30k target by 2030.

The Young Leader Programme Lead will lead this new Christian Young Leaders programme from pioneering pilots through to full scale delivery across the Church of England to enable 4500 young people to grow in their faith and engage in mission and ministry with children and young people by 2030.

The post-holder will lead a national Christian formation programme for young leaders that becomes locally owned which helps young people grow in confident faith and discover their gifts as they contribute to being change-makers in the life of the Church and the wider community.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is build confidence, companionship and connection for people with hearing loss, is seeking a High Value Events Manager to help create inclusive, inspiring and impactful high-value event experiences that deepen relationships and generate transformational philanthropic support for the charity.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love and emotional support.

Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now building a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to significantly grow and diversify income.

This role will be part of a newly built High Value Events function and will develop, manage and deliver a portfolio of high‑value engagement and fundraising events that advance the charity’s strategic priorities and long‑term sustainability. Working closely with the High Value Event Team Manager and collaborating across Income Generation and wider teams, the postholder will create values‑led, relationship‑driven events that celebrate impact, inspire generosity and deepen connections with major donors, trusts, foundations, corporate partners and senior volunteers. We are looking for a College Administrator/Receptionist to join our team on an initial 9 month MAT cover – this may extend to 12 months.

You'll provide administrative and reception support to Ambitious College, based at West Thames Campus. You'll be the first point of contact for the college, receiving visitors, telephone calls, deliveries and email. You'll meet and greet external and internal visitors, ensuring they are signed in/out according to internal processes.

You'll assist with any parent/carer communications, such as emailing/telephoning, sending out information packs or letters as needed. You'll provide administrative support for financial processes, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices and goods received.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience of providing high quality administration and reception support within a fast paced /busy and pressurised environment
• Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Office and particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
• Experience of financial administration and processes such as invoicing, petty cash and use of financial systems/software
• Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels via telephone and written forms of communication including experience of being able to set out and form correspondence

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Chef to join our Facilities team at the Marie Curie West Midlands Hospice. In this important role, you will create high-quality, nutritious meals for patients, staff, volunteers, and visitors, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

You will bring strong culinary expertise, the ability to design and deliver varied menus, and a commitment to excellent customer service. We’re looking for someone who works well within a team, shows initiative, adapts easily to changing demands, and demonstrates a genuinely caring approach.

You will also assist the Head Chef in supervision of Catering Assistants, assist with staff rotas, help recruit junior team members, and manage supplier selection and ordering processes.

Age UK's Influencing division has a rare and exciting opportunity for a Policy Manager to join our successful Policy Team.

In your role you will influence decision makers, develop public policy proposals, manage policy projects and provide specialist support to colleagues on the subject area of 'connected communities' based on analysis, evidence and expertise.

As Policy Manager you will commission and manage a significant policy research project to better understand the place-based barriers undermining older people's abilities to connect with their communities. Through engagement with older people, local Age UKs and other stakeholders, the postholder will identify effective policy interventions and develop an influencing strategy to strengthen the development of key local infrastructure that can help build social connections.

We operate a hybrid working model. We offer flexibility on working from home but require the applicant to be in our central London office a minimum of one day per week (currently the Team attend the office on a Wednesday). Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.
