About The Role:

We are recruiting for two vacancies within this service. As an advocate for our clients who may experience homelessness as a result of a hospital visit, we will expect you to lead on the case management of these clients. You will work in partnership with other agencies to create holistic, caring and personalised support plans for them. Our clients usually have a range of support needs that might impact their experience of homelessness. This includes mental health problems, social isolation, challenging behaviour, finance and debt, alcohol and drug abuse and you will be working with them to achieve outcomes that include move on.

You will ensure their voices are heard and make them aware of available support to them including maximising this support. It is important to let you know that at times this role is tough, but most of the time it is very rewarding when you see the difference you make in the lives of others.

Main Responsibilities Of The Job:

• To be part of a team running of a new and dynamic service assessing and managing risk for individuals and in the service.
• Ensure the effective delivery of high quality care, support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.
• To work in partnership with other agencies to ensure the delivery of holistic wrap around support.
• To work in partnership with Connection Support Step provision and Out of Hospital Team.
• To work with other agencies to provide client centered support & risk management plans for clients with complex needs to identify work towards a suitable move on option within 6 weeks.
• To be a supportive and effective part of the team working as part of a rota including evenings and weekends.
• Report any safeguarding concerns without delay in line with procedures.

To make and maintain Housing Benefit claims.

• Manage challenging situations in line with procedures and to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Ensure that IT systems are updated as required and concise record keeping is completed promptly.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, relatives, carers, professionals, commissioners, contractors and the local community.
• To undertake any other duties that can be reasonably required to meet the operational needs of Homeless Oxfordshire.

We’re seeking a compassionate and proactive Housing First Worker to deliver tailored, trauma-informed support to people with complex needs who are experiencing multiple exclusion homelessness. In this role, you'll provide intensive wrap-around support to help individuals secure and maintain their own tenancies, build independence, and engage confidently with local services and community networks. You will collaborate with partner agencies, landlords, and support networks to ensure they have access to the resources they need while maintaining robust case records, conducting dynamic risk assessments, championing peer involvement and upholding safeguarding best practices. The Housing First Worker is responsible for coordinating and providing a personalised, trauma informed support service to people with complex needs facing multiple exclusions in line with Housing First principles to create long term sustainable tenancies by increasing independence and maximising connectivity with the local community.

Main Responsibilities Of The Job:

• Deliver wrap-around intensive, trauma informed support to people with multiple and complex issues within their own independent tenancies.
• Maintain accurate up to date records of progress against individual support plans, safety plans and outcome information. • Liaise with other agencies to facilitate access to support.
• Regularly review the person-centred support plan to update, record and monitor progress of caseload.
• Build and maintain networks with staff from other agencies to ensure the Housing First pilot is widely known and promoted.
• Adhere to good practice safeguarding procedures with a positive risk-taking approach to ensure the wellbeing of vulnerable people.
• Liaise with landlords to assist the person living in accommodation of their choice, including practical help with furniture, benefits advice and accompanied visits.
• Perform robust assessments of referrals for the service to ensure the service is provided to those that meet the eligibility criteria.
• Promote, and encourage peer involvement within the service.
• Complete dynamic risk assessments and maintain own safety by following lone working procedures.

Join Homeless Oxfordshire as a Housing & Recovery Worker in our 7-bed Pre-Recovery Project. You’ll provide high-quality support to people moving on from homelessness, working closely with Turning Point to deliver drug and alcohol recovery groups and peer support. You’ll manage risks, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, support clients into suitable move-on options, and build strong relationships with partners. Help create a positive, inclusive space where people can rebuild their lives while developing their skills, confidence and independence through meaningful activities and personalised support.

Main Purpose Of Job:

The Pre-Recovery Project is a 7 bed project that provides housing and recovery support for people that have recently experienced being homeless. We work closely with Turning point to provide recovery support through groups and peer led support . The HRW will provide move on support as well as working in close partnership with Turning Point around peoples recovery .

Main Areas Of Responsibility:

· Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.

· Ensure the effective delivery of drug and alcohol based support to clients within the Pre Recovery Project service including group and peer support.

· Partner with Turning Point in the delivery of drug and alcohol based support to enable clients to work towards drug and alcohol recovery.

· Assess risk and suitability of referrals for the service.

· Be responsible for supporting and working with clients to achieve suitable move on and successful outcomes.

· Ensure support plans and risk management plans are documented and agreed with clients in line with procedures.

· Proactively and assess, monitor, manage and respond to risks.

· Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment across accommodation services; this may including room cleaning and clearance. Report any safeguarding concerns without delay in line with procedures.

· Manage challenging situations in line with procedures and to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

This is a hands-on, people-facing role for someone who takes pride in creating spaces that really work. As our Facilities Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind safe, welcoming and well-run workplaces that allow our teams to focus on what matters most - supporting people out of homelessness. From the moment someone walks through the door of one of our offices, your work will be felt. If you’re someone who spots what needs fixing, improves things before they become problems, and enjoys being right at the heart of an organisation, this role is for you.

Based full-time at our Head Office in King’s Cross, you’ll be visible, present and involved - working on site five days a week and travelling across London to our other offices and services. No two days will look the same. One day you might be problem-solving with a manager, walking a site, or supporting a health and safety issue; the next you could be leading a refurbishment, improving how a space is used, or making sure contractors are delivering what they promised. You’ll manage a small facilities team, oversee reception services, and work closely with colleagues across Single Homeless Project (SHP) to make sure our buildings actively support the work happening inside them.

This is a role for someone who likes ownership and momentum. You’ll need to be practical, organised and confident making decisions - but also warm, approachable and collaborative. • You have hands-on facilities management experience and know how to keep buildings safe, functional and fit for purpose.

• You’ve procured and managed facilities contracts before and are confident holding suppliers and contractors to account.

Join Single Homeless Project (SHP) as a Senior Outreach Worker and take a leading role in our response to rough sleeping across Redbridge. This is frontline work with purpose - combining assertive outreach, strong local partnerships and trauma-informed practice to help people move away from the streets for good. You’ll be part of a committed, values-driven team working closely with housing, health, substance use and immigration services to create real opportunities for change.

As a Senior Outreach Worker, you’ll lead outreach shifts across the borough, offering direction, reassurance and momentum to a team of Outreach Workers while holding a focused caseload of people facing complex challenges. Working in close partnership with Navigators, you’ll help ensure each person’s journey off the streets is joined-up, consistent and grounded in trust. You’ll balance hands-on engagement with thoughtful coordination, modelling best practice and keeping people at the centre of every decision.

This role is for someone who wants to shape practice, not just deliver it. At SHP, you’ll be trusted to bring your experience, judgement and ideas to the table, with the support to keep learning and pushing boundaries. We have an exciting opportunity to join one of our teams within the Hammersmith and Fulham accommodation pathway as Assistant Support Worker (known internally as Duty Worker). You will be working at Edith Road, a 24 bed - high complex needs project supporting male only clients.

In this role you will;

• Jointly manage the safe day to day running of the project with other members of the team, and provide general support and advice to clients.
• Be the first point of contact at Reception for clients and visitors and have the opportunity to maintain a welcoming and supportive environment within the project.
• Coordinate Health and Safety checks and administrative duties while working alongside the team to provide a person centred support to residents and clients.
• Help to run activities, support clients with matters such as attending appointments in the community, developing their interests and skills, recovering from complex health issues and other underlying causes behind their homelessness, and moving towards independent living.

The role is focused on supporting residents around their strengths and aspirations for the future.

The role is shift based and includes early and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

About you

This is a fantastic role for anyone looking to develop a career in the sector; a number of current Managers started their career as Assistant Support Workers.

You will have:

• Some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or clients or customers in a busy service environment and good communication skills.
• Personal experience of homelessness and/or an understanding of; and empathy with the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people.
• A genuine interest in helping vulnerable people to make positive changes in their life, and the willingness to develop these valuable skills.

Herts Young Homeless is an independent charity and has been supporting vulnerable people in Hertfordshire since 1998. We are professional, passionate, collaborative and supportive charity that provides guidance to everyone who is in need of support.

The successful candidate willdeliver a high-quality service to young people aged 16–17 and their families across Hertfordshire, working alongside the Family Link Work and Mediation services to prevent family breakdown and reduce repeat homelessness. We are looking for two dedicated and passionate Advice and Information Worker to join our team based in Hatfield! You will be the first point of contact for anyone needing to access the ‘hyh hub’ and will ensure that all referrals are triaged to identify the most effective pathway for support. The worker will deliver accurate advice and information to young people, parents and professionals, and work undertaken in a coordinated timely manner. You will carry out appropriate assessments, with other agencies where needed, to assess the needs of the family to prevent family breakdown and homelessness.

Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied, short term case load with conflicting deadlines
- To offer realistic advice and options to young people, family members and professionals to prevent family breakdown and homelessness, identifying any other needs within the process.
- To carry out service user assessments under the JHP and liaise with statutory agencies, non-statutory agencies and family members to assist with a planned move on/secure accommodation for
16/17 year olds as required.
- Develop and maintain smooth, accurate pathways on the database for gathering and maintaining all relevant service user and statistical information
- To chair and coordinate family meetings, housing support meetings and liaison meetings with other agencies as required
- To liaise and refer into Crashpad as required and work within the set timescales
- Alongside team members and external partners, co-ordinate and implement focused action plans, working with families for a maximum of 6 weeks
- Working in strengths based way, support 16/17 year olds to advocate for themselves when appropriate and necessary
- Carry out the necessary follow-up work and write ups of service users files
- Encourage and promote a planned approach to solving conflict alongside the ‘hyh hub’ and explore the mediation / family link worker processes to young people and their families, in line with the ‘single pathway’ model.

As a successful candidate you will have...
- A full driving license and use of own car or motorbike for business purposes (Compulsory)
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the problems facing homeless young people
- Ability to engage and motivate young people, strong interpersonal skills including the ability to be appropriately assertive
- General administrative skills (filling, record keeping and computer literacy)
- Ability to work effectively with a full and varied workload with conflicting deadlines
- Excellent understanding of confidentially with strict professional boundaries and personal integrity
