The Role
Contract: Part-time, 16 hours per week

As the HR Assistant, you will provide high-quality of HR Generalist duties to the HR Team, including administrative, data input, recruitment and training support to the HR department and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Check recruitment updates and progress for all active vacancies.
• Follow up with candidates and managers on any outstanding documentation.
• Provide recruitment administration support, including setting up vacancies on the HR system, coordinating interviews, preparing documentation and issuing contracts
• Support onboarding by coordinating induction activities, equipment and paperwork
• Provide general HR administration such as employee records, surveys, reports and presentations
• Assist with leadership team meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking

Purpose of the role:

MediCinema is a UK-registered charity dedicated to providing cinema experiences inside hospitals to support the emotional, physical and mental health of NHS patients, their families, and carers. The Role

Reporting to the CEO, this new senior leadership role is central to ensuring MediCinema’s financial sustainability, operational excellence, and people-centred culture. Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

· Participate in strategic and business planning processes, supporting the CEO and trustees to develop the strategic plan

Finance

The Person

Experience and Background

We are seeking a strategic leader with experience across finance, operations, and HR — ideally within the UK charity or public health sector. You may have worked in healthcare, education, or social impact organisations, and bring a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and people leadership. Candidates with a relevant background in SMEs may be considered, but will need to demonstrate a commitment to quickly developing the specialist knowledge required by charity regulations and an aptitude for operating within the third sector.

You will be comfortable working in a hands-on, collaborative environment, with a deep respect for MediCinema’s mission and values.

Skills and Qualifications

· Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT)

· Strong understanding of HR, IT, risk management, and governance in small teams

· Proven experience managing budgets, audits, and accounts (Quickbooks experience ideal)

· Excellent project management and strategic planning skills

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and mentor others

As a HR Generalist you’ll join our People Operations team and support colleagues at British Heart Foundation (BHF) with all employee life cycle matters. The role:

In this new role we are seeking an experienced, confident HR professional to provide both strategic and operational leadership of the EIA HR function through a period of growth and transition.

As a member of the Senior Management team, the Head of HR will contribute towards organisation-wide decision-making and will ensure that the people strategy underpins EIA’s mission and long-term goals. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivery of a generalist HR advisory service to the Federation and our Academies, providing up to date and informed HR guidance and support on HR policies, processes and systems
• Providing professional advice and support to Federation and Academy leaders in all areas of HR practice and employee relations such as grievance, disciplinary, performance management and sickness absence management, escalating complex cases as appropriate to the Head of HR and HR Business Partners

• Participating in the development and delivery of HR policy skills workshops for line managers and academy HR
• Assisting with end-to-end employee lifecycle and payroll processes
• Preparing HR documents and create and maintain templates
• Producing management information reports
• Evaluating job descriptions and providing advice and guidance on salary bandings to ensure a consistent and fair approach
• Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
