The Settlement Worker is responsible for supporting service-users accessing the service to secure appropriate accommodation following discharge. The post holder will be responsible for sourcing accommodations with relevant providers, liaising with and developing relationships with other providers, private landlords and teams within the local authority.
The Settlement Worker is responsible for promoting viable move to service-users within the service, and where appropriate supporting them to register as homeless in their borough of origin. The role will ensure that discharge planning is integrated into support planning from the outset.
The post-holder will be responsible for providing frontline services to women and those from Middle Eastern who are experiencing domestic violence, are at risk of honour killings and forced marriage, female genital mutilation and other forms of gender abuse. This will entail provision of practical and emotional support to ensure that they and their children are able to access services to remain safe. The post-holder will offer information, advice, advocacy, casework, outreach and networking, and will liaise with all appropriate services to make sure that these women’s needs are appropriately met.

In this role, you will manage the international CRM system ensuring all data is captured effectively and streamlined in order to provide insightful reports and analysis across the global team.

· Work to manage and standardise processes for our international CRM system for all supporters ensuring constituent profiles and all income streams are accurately recorded.

• To provide one-to-one specialist advice in immigration and asylum area of law

Work with us to promote civilian rights through implementing projects to strengthen military accountability and improve the scope for reparations where civilian rights have been violated, including in relation to UK military operations (main focus), Ukraine/Russia and the Middle East.
Responsibilities:
1. Policy promotion
- to coordinate the production of policy reports and briefs related to military accountability, protection of civilians and promotion of reparations, including management of expert authors/researchers, submission of freedom of information requests, editing of drafts, liaison with designers and proof-reading.
- to coordinate the holding of expert seminars involving legal experts, officials, academics and the policy and humanitarian community, including drafting agendas and preparing seminar materials, invitation of speakers and participants, coordination of logistics with partner organisations, and preparation of seminar reports.
- to liaise with relevant UK officials concerned with civilian protection and military accountability, including in the Ministry of Defence, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and the UK’s armed services, including briefing officials and drafting submissions to government consultations.
- to liaise with MPs and Peers, including members of relevant parliamentary Committees, to promote constructive parliamentary debate on relevant issues, including suggesting parliamentary questions, briefing for debates, drafting amendments, etc.
2. Communications
- to help coordinate one or more social media accounts for Ceasefire.
- to coordinate the production of short public awareness videos for use on social media channels.
- to liaise with the press and broadcast media, including preparation of media briefs and releases, briefing of journalists, coordination of contact lists and dealing with media inquiries.
- to prepare communications on programme outputs and achievements for donors, supporters and partners.
3. Programme implementation
- to maintain and develop relationships with partner NGOs, including in UK and Ukraine, supporting and facilitating their work
- to coordinate and/or support advocacy networks and advocacy activities in support of civilian rights
- to handle all aspects of programme coordination and administration, including preparing plans and schedules, managing programme budgets, and preparing narrative and financial reports on programme implementation.
4. Programme development
- to identify opportunities for further policy and programme development, including relevant partnerships.
- to undertake and write up research to support future programme development and fundraising.
5. To undertake any other tasks as may from time to time be requested by your line manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Education:
First degree in a relevant subject, such as law, politics/sociology, international relations or strategic studies.
Essential: Demonstrated knowledge of international humanitarian law (law of armed conflict)
Desirable: Knowledge of international human rights law.
Experience:
Essential: Two years of professional experience in advocacy work either related to UK policy and practice at the national or international level, and / or related to military accountability and civilian protection in armed conflict.
Desirable: Professional experience working in a humanitarian or military environment.
Skills:
Policy and advocacy: Excellent policy analysis and advocacy skills, including legal accuracy, and ability to draft letters, briefs and submissions to high standard.
Communications: a) Excellent professional media skills, including understanding of mainstream media, and social media (Twitter), with ability to build and sustain constituencies.
b) Very high level of professional presentation, both in writing and in person. Ability to interact with senior individuals from a wide range of professional and international backgrounds, including government and military, and inspire confidence.
Organisation: Excellent organisational and coordination skills, including planning, budgeting, evaluation and reporting, event organisation, computer skills, problem-solving. High level of accuracy.
Languages: Essential: English to first language standard. Desirable: Proficiency in Ukrainian, Russian or Arabic.

JOB PURPOSE
As a Global Assembly Administrative Assistant, you will provide flexible administrative support to the Global Assembly Co-ordinator and other members of the legal and Governance Programme. This will include assisting with document management, travel booking, and budget administration.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
-To set up and coordinate meetings and videoconferences for the relevant Global Assembly committees and volunteers in advance of the Global Assembly Meeting.
-Support the servicing (arranging logistics, producing summary reports) of committee meetings and communication to the Amnesty movement.

Short description of role:
Are you enthusiastic about joining a leading UK Charity? Do you bring experience in Supporter or Customer care, combined with a sharp eye for detail.
This exciting opportunity is a permanent full-time position, requiring 35 hours per week from Monday to Friday in North London. You'll have the flexibility to work three days in the office and the remaining days remotely from home. The annual salary for this position is £30,000.
As the Supporter Care and Database Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to handle initial inquiries from both internal and external sources. Ensuring prompt and accurate recording of donations into the fundraising database.
Other key responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Help manage and respond to supporter enquiries by telephone, letter, and email.
- Send out fundraising materials.
- Assist with the Direct Debit claim.
- Carry out ad-hoc tasks when necessary, including communicating with donors.
- Add new records to the fundraising database ensuring they are following data protection legislation.
- Update existing supporter records on the fundraising database, for e.g., change of address, change of consent, ensuring compliance.
- Maintain records of Gift Aid declarations and assisting with claims.
To be considered you will have the following experience.
- Experience of supporter or customer care
- Experience of customer relationship management (CRM) databases
- Experience of transaction processing, e.g., donations, credit cards, cheques
- Experience of working with external stakeholder and other suppliers
- Good interpersonal skills and an excellent team player

They are now searching for a Community Development Worker (Harmful Cultural Practices) to join their team, working across Hampshire, with a particular focus on Portsmouth, Basingstoke and Rushmoor.
As a Community Development Worker you will proactively engage and build trust with diaspora communities affected by harmful cultural practices including ‘honour’ based violence, forced marriage and FGM/C, and provide community based support for adults who have experienced such practices performed on them and/or whose children may be at risk. You will lead on the development and delivery of training, and provide one-to one services to adults affected, including safety, planning, risk assessments, and supporting victims through the criminal and civil justice systems.
The role has a strong focus on human rights, improving safety and empowering women and men from BAMER communities affected by harmful cultural practices. The post holder will also increase knowledge of harmful cultural practices through delivering training to professionals and community groups. You will work established positive and proactive working relationships and work in partnership with a range of agencies and the wider Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector, and identify and make links with existing projects and community services. You will attend multi-agency meetings to provide expert and independent information and guidance.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience of providing practical and emotional support and advocacy to vulnerable people under stress. Knowledge and understanding of harmful cultural practices, and the impact on women, children and men is essential, as is a qualification in either Safeguarding Adults/Children Level 2 or demonstrable equivalent experience. Experience of developing and delivering training to professionals is desirable but not crucial, as is the ability to speak a language of communities who will be engaged through this work. Due to the nature of the role, you are required to hold a clean driving license and have access to a vehicle. Please note this is a full-time role, 37 hours per week.

As a Survivor Voice and Activities Coordinator you will be responsible for gathering and elevating survivor voices to ensure they are reflected in service planning and delivery and delivering play, activities and personal independence initiatives to women and children living in Refuges and other safe accommodation across multiple sites in Hampshire.
A key member of the Stop Domestic Abuse team within their Refuges; the post-holder will develop, deliver, and monitor a programme of activities, responsive to trauma, risk and need, providing women, children and young people with the opportunity to engage in a wide range of stimulating and meaningful play, activities and personal independence initiatives, such as budgeting, parenting support, community inclusion, healthy eating and bonding exercises.
Ideal candidates will be trained in safeguarding (or have the ability to complete this within the first 3 months of employment) and an understanding and awareness of the needs of women, men and children who have experienced domestic violence. Knowledge of children protection and the ability to work within national, local and organisational guidelines is essential, as is a commitment to the principles of Stop Domestic Abuse.
Experience of developing and delivering structured activities to vulnerable adults and children is desirable but not crucial, as is awareness and knowledge of the benefits system, legal and housing issues affecting families escaping domestic violence. Due to the nature of the role, you are required to hold a clean driving license and have access to a vehicle. Please note this is a full-time role, 37 hours per week. There is a requirement for early morning/evening and weekend work in this job.

Purpose of the role:
The Head of Frontline Services will be responsible for leading the Support Service Managers who run Unseen’s survivor project and teams and the Quality Assurance Officer who leads on contractual compliance. These projects currently cover a women’s safe house, a men’s safe house, community outreach support and a Reach In service. The service is delivered by a mobile team of case workers and accommodation support officers.
