Supporter Engagement is one of the most important teams that is central to the success of Alzheimer’s Society. The function of the team is to manage multi-channel communications with our supporters, both inbound and outbound. The team manage emails, telephone calls and social media interactions and is part of the wider Supporter Experience Department.
The team has a very bespoke tone of voice when managing the high volume of interactions but has the autonomy to manage their own workday within guidelines. Support is second to none and we pride ourselves on having a very open communication style between all members of the team so that help is available for you to be successful in your role.
In this role you will be the first point of contact delivering an excellent supporter experience to members of the public and Alzheimer’s Society’s supporters. You will have enriching one to one conversations across different channels, including phone, email and Social Media. Through answering queries and proactively delivering exceptional levels of stewardship you will build rapport and inspire supporters and potential supporters about our work, whilst maintaining accurate system records that reflect and enhance the supporter experience.

We are strengthening our IT organisation to enhance the provision of IT services to our 2000 staff and many volunteers. About the role
As a Dementia Adviser you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for a home-based Community Development Co-ordinator to join our team in Swindon, engaging with the local community, until 31st March 2025.
Alzheimer’s Society secured grant funding from the Shared Prosperity Fund to deliver community development in Swindon; as part of this you will promote Dementia awareness with a specific aim to reduce inequalities and reach those with protected characteristics, or people experiencing multiple deprivations. In addition, you will work with those individuals experiencing and/or at risk of other health inequalities.

Alzheimer’s Society have an exciting opportunity to join our talented team as a Dementia Adviser in the East Yorkshire area. We are working hard to improve diagnosis rates for dementia and this exciting role involves organising and attending ‘Brain Health Pop Ups’ around the whole East Riding to support people worried about their own brain health. Giving advice about how to approach their GP to gain a diagnosis and supporting people in a relaxed and supportive environment (usually libraries, leisure centres and garden centres). Working closely with the East Riding team and signposting for referrals is a key part of the role also.
You will;
- Assist people with dementia and their carers in identifying their needs, providing information and guidance to help maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives.
- Build relationships with a range of local contacts, networking with health and care professionals, and providing dementia support.
- Develop networks and pathways with partner organisations who work in the field of dementia, ensuring seamless and consistent support and empowering individuals affected by dementia to make informed choices.

About you
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, supportive, shows empathy and is a good listener. You will be meeting people all over the East Riding who are a little anxious about their own brain health or just curious about what options they have.

Supporter Engagement is one of the most important teams that is central to the success of Alzheimer’s Society. The function of the team is to manage multi-channel communication with our supporters, both inbound and outbound. The team manage emails, telephone calls and social media interactions and is part of the wider Supporter Experience Department.
The team has a very bespoke tone of voice when managing the high volume of interactions but has the autonomy to manage their own workday within guidelines. This is a wonderful opportunity for a digital marketing expert to join the Digital Engagement Team at Alzheimer’s Society.
