At Mosaic - Supporting Bereaved Children, we are clear that our mission is to enable children and young people who have lost someone very close to them to come to terms with their grief in a positive and caring way.  Our work transforms young lives and we'd like you to be part of this.

We are looking for a passionate individual to help tell our story to the local and wider community about what we are doing, and how we transform young lives. We provide counselling to more than 400 children and young people every year, and support many more families and professionals through our uplifting weekend activities, and education programmes.  This role -engaging, communicating, campaigning - is simply vital to our success.

 This is a new post for Mosaic so the individual will have a chance to shape the strategy, advise the CEO and Trustees about our communications and marketing, and be part of a friendly and highly motivated team of 13 (mostly part-time) staff, working on events and activities, fundraising, counselling, training and education.

What you will do

The role will involve:

Researching and adivising on how we best engage with our audiences such as our volunteers, families and other charities through different channels and approaches.

Creating a communications strategy which will strengthen our profile, and improve our website's content, look and feel to ensure more clarity about what we do, more reach and impact

Developing our social media content with the team, thinking about how young people use it and producing metrics on this.  Work with our young people, volunteers and others to create fantastic video content to show our impact.

Leading campaigns for Mosaic, driving impactful communication and building partnerships with the media and other organisations across Dorset to support our mission.

Be part of the team effort to create an overall five-year strategy for Mosaic as we grow, thinking about how we demonstrate our impact and the great relationship we have with schools and charity bodies across the county.

Create press releases and moments where we can tell everyone about the work we're doing, and supporting national campaigns on child bereavement.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience of working in communications, preferably with some marketing experience.

A good track record  of utilising a data-driven and goal-oriented approach to produce effective awareness campaigns

Experience of working with different  platforms, including Meta and TikTok.

Experience in analysing group to create tailored user-journeys

An understanding of media and confidence to engage with them at a local and regional level

About the Role

• Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accmmodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
• The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
• In this role, you will provide direct support to all the women, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork. 
• You will work closely with support workers and the in-house psychologist.
• You will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.
• The post holder will undertake 8-hour shifts, normally Monday to Friday but with flexibility for weekend working, covering the hours 8am to 8pm. This is a 1 year fixed term contract.

Salary: £33,860

Support Coordinator

We are looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in Central Bedfordshire.

Position: S11170 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Central Bedfordshire, however frequent travel will be required as part of this role (to include home visits, team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week

The Role

Reporting to a Service Delivery Coach in the East of England, you will have the ability to support stroke survivors to identify their goals. Using strong assessment skills and a person-centred approach enabling them to maximise their recovery and improve communication.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Supporting new stroke survivors and their carers to adjust to life after stroke following hospital discharge into the community.

· Providing personalised information, advice and support.

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, IBIS House supports people who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient stays but have other barriers to discharge. These may include housing, living skills, accessing benefits or the community, or other interventions and will be on a person-centred basis. The main aim of the service is to provide short-term support to customers to link with longer-term services to reduce escalations in need, and reduce inpatient readmission and reduce pressure on inpatient beds.

What you'll do:

* Assessing referrals received by the service, within the 4-hour target, and providing rapid response to these.
* Inducting new customers, and helping orient them to the community and local area
* Completing/supporting housing referrals as required, supporting customers with budgeting tools and providing support to customers in accessing any benefits or addressing any issues such as benefits.
* Building a relationship with the local borough and any key agencies. For example: no recourse to public funds teams, homelessness teams, community mental health teams etc.
* Support planning, including ward management liaison, medication profiles and medication reviews as required, identifying the goals and steps to support customers to manage their own support and risk and ensuring these are correctly documented within Look Ahead's paperwork.

This role will deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support and Advocacy service in Liverpool and the Wirral region. This varied role deals with every aspect of a patient’s life that supports better outcomes: welfare benefits, practical, emotional and social support. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Wellbeing Support Worker to join our Flintshire Wellbeing service. This role does not provide direct basic care but is focused on motivating and supporting individuals to identify their own goals as well as developing self-management strategies to improve their health and wellbeing and maintain their independence.

This role will ensure that guided conversations are led by the individual and that they are at the centre of everything we do.This is a new service commissioned by Flintshire County Council on behalf of health and social care partners through the Welsh Government Regional Integration Fund. The service has been commissioned to fill a gap identified within existing service provision.

If you have an empathetic and compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their health and wellbeing, this role could be for you. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping individuals improve their overall well-being and make positive lifestyle changes following a recent hospital admission.

The Flintshire Wellbeing service aims to support individuals for a period of up to 6 weeks following hospital discharge. We work collaboratively with individuals to help them identify their strengths, overcome limiting beliefs, and develop practical strategies for achieving their goals at home and within their community.

A key element of this role will be to work with the individual and co-design a personalised action plan. From this information, meaningful functional goals and outcomes are developed with the individual, to promote wellbeing, autonomy, independence, and choice. This approach aims to ‘enable people to be and to do what they have reason to value’

Overview of Role:

As a Support Worker, you will be working with young people aged 12-25 years old who have experience of self-harm. Within that age group, you will predominantly be working with young people under 18. The post would suit an experienced support worker, preferably with knowledge of the issues experienced by young people who are trans / non-binary.

You will play a key role in providing them with support and advocacy both on a one to-one basis and within a group setting; working with them to develop their emotional skills which will allow them to cope more effectively with the difficulties in their lives. The nature of the work means role that the successful candidate must focus on inclusivity for the young people.

The successful candidate will have considerable experience in working with young people aged 12-25 and will enjoy the challenge of working with adolescents in difficult circumstances. You will need to be able to work within a non-discriminatory framework, ensuring the services are provided in a qualitative, responsive, and accessible manner.

The Amber Project exists to support any young person (aged 14-25) in Cardiff and the surrounding areas who has experience of self-harm. With our Constellation element working with young people aged 12-25. Since The Amber project was established in 2002 individual support and creative
workshops have been key elements of our work with young people.

Salary: £13,406 per annum (£26,812.00 per annum FTE).

Hours:  20 hours per week. Working pattern to be agreed with the line manager but will include late afternoons and early evenings to facilitate meeting with young people outside of school hours and attending workshops. Occasional weekends.

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP Belmarsh, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read. 

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings  underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 

This role will be prison-based. Overall Purpose

• To provide support and care to the young people who are newly arrived in the country, providing the foundations for them to rebuild their lives with dignity, strengthen their resilience and inspire hope for their futures.

This work is essential in enabling us to deliver our therapeutic support for all areas of a young person’s life.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To be a Support Worker for newly arrived young people who are in the care of Baca in all areas of the young person’s life, supporting them from first arrival through to their move to semi-independence.
• To welcome new arrivals into the accommodation and communicate basic information about the house, making them feel safe and able to rest; with compassion without discrimination of age, race, colour or behavioural issues.
• To enable young people to achieve the following outcomes increased physical wellbeing, increased emotional wellbeing, improved personal safety, increased social engagement and increased engagement with education, employment and training.
• To enable young people to live with positive values and good boundaries.
• To be a proactive role model for the young people, enabling them to learn day to day living skills and helping them integrate positively with the local community.
• Training young people in living skills such as washing, cleaning, cooking and safety, food shopping and budgeting; proactively and intentionally in line with the Baca independent living preparation plan.
• Helping young people settle into a routine which will include education and social activities.
• Work in close partnership with social workers and other professionals and volunteers to provide a holistic development package for each young person enabling them to become independent.
• Maintaining very good communication with relevant members of the Rebuild Team and relevant social workers through regular appropriate reporting.
• To work collaboratively with the rest of the Rebuild Team to ensure all young people are safeguarded and supported to rebuild their lives.
• Complete and update all admin work as part of the role such as month end reports and support plans on time and in a consistent manner.
• Playing an active role in developing knowledge and understanding in areas relevant to the role and especially in the areas of asylum and refugee law, trafficking, supporting separated children and the cultures of different nations relevant to Baca.

This is a frontline role that will need the successful applicant to be working closely with young people in their houses and will need access to transport young people to different appointments, meetings and activities.
