Position: Chief Operating Officer

Location: Office based in Brixton, London.
Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time), due to the nature of our work regular evening and weekend work will be required with this role.

Person Specification:

About you
As our High Value Engagement Manager, you'll be at the forefront of developing high- quality communication materials to engage donors and partners with our mission. Reporting directly to the Senior High Value Engagement Manager, you'll lead the charge in crafting persuasive narratives and producing captivating content that showcases our impact on children and communities. What will an average day look like?

- Lead strategic initiatives to support High Value Engagement and Partnerships & Philanthropy strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior High Value Engagement Manager to inform and deliver team objectives.
- Create inspiring written communications tailored to high-value audiences, highlighting fundraising priorities and impactful stories.
- Develop timely fundraising materials to support priority asks, including emergency communications and high-priority proposals.
- Design professional materials using InDesign and develop engaging digital products such as scrolling stories, to enhance donor engagement.
- Collaborate with the Digital team to drive the development of new digital products and maximise their impact in connecting donors and partners to our work with children.
- Devise innovative strategies to engage donors and partners, leveraging insights from various teams and organisations.
- Provide writing, proofing, and editorial support, and proactively share best practice to ensure consistency in brand tone and messaging across all communications.

Your role

You will be able to use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. About the Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to provide debt advice and money education on a case management basis and to support the provision of advice by volunteers. The post holder will be expected to manage their own cases and lead appointment sessions.

The job holder will play their part in bringing this vision to reality, supporting clients through what at times can be emotionally difficult situations, to get back on their feet and realise their full potential.
The role combines both technical and pastoral elements. Essential skills and experience of the Case Manager include:
- Previous experience in providing regulated debt advice on a case management basis

- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to show empathy, compassion and patience
- Sound IT skills with a strong command of the Microsoft Office suite
