Purity is a full-service fundraising agency specialising in telephone and digital channels for charity and NGO fundraising. We work with clients such as Greenpeace, Prostate Cancer UK, and Air Ambulance organisations, focusing on supporter recruitment and development. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Fundraising professional to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for fundraising and knowledge of the non-profit sector. Previous experience in a senior role in telephone fundraising, team leadership and account management will be essential. They will be a great communicator and team player, leading the Client Services team and the wider Purity team in delivering fundraising campaigns for amazing causes. You will be fully supported by the CEO and the wider Senior Leadership team. Our current Client Services Director will be working on a part time consultancy basis for a period after your start date to help ensure you have the support needed to settle into the role successfully. The role encompasses all communication channels, working with the Digital Campaign Manager to develop digital and supporting communications.
This role is a Senior Leadership role, and we are looking for someone who has clear leadership qualities who has a passion not only for fundraising, but for ethical supporter focussed fundraising.

The Individual Giving Manager in the Mass Fundraising team will work closely with the Senior Individual Giving Manager and Mass Lead to develop the programme across membership, lottery, raffle and digital fundraising.

Job Purpose:
The Institutional Funding Manager will play an important role in SHA’s institutional income generation activities. Working closely with assigned country teams, the post-holder will support pipeline development, lead the development and writing of high-quality bids, donor engagement, and positioning for contract and grant opportunities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical for this role.
French and/or Portuguese language skills are desirable.

Proposal development
- Identify, research and advise on new funding opportunities.

- Day to day accounting and administration, including posting transactions; payment of suppliers and staff expenses; international bank transfers to overseas country offices; setting up and processing regular giving payments, and processing one off donations; banking; and process monthly payroll.
- Undertake reconciliations of bank and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including BVA analysis and summaries, and income and expenditure reports for budget holders.
- Prepare the annual consolidated accounts and financial statements, and support in the preparation of the annual audit, liaising with the overseas country offices.
Requirements
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant with all-round experience working in a small team within an international charity. Experience of leading on the production of annual consolidated accounts as per charity SORP in the UK, management accounts & analysis, and managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks.
- Hands on, able to manage a varied workload.
- Strong business partnering skills, able to work with finance and non-finance staff in the UK and overseas offices, budget holders and liaise with third parties, including banks and auditors.
- Strong communication skills.
This is a part-time role (3-4 days/week), that can be done either remotely or hybrid, coming into the office 1 day/week. Key responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a strategic EDI learning plan, to build the RSPB’s capability on a creating a more inclusive workplace culture.
- Align with L&OD team on creating consistency of learning approaches and key messages across the organisation’s learning offer.
- Build expert knowledge and skill within the organisation on EDI, prioritising any current programme key themes.
- Identify skills gaps and future learning requirements, keeping abreast of latest learning and development products and approaches. This would include a keen understanding and application of accessibility, neurodiversity and different learning needs, to support and upskill the EDI team and other colleagues.
- Curate, develop and design EDI learning content, including online, and assess relevant EDI learning and development options. Including workshops, action learning sets and peer support sessions.

- Co-ordinate the logistics of training programmes and identify external training partners.
- Embed solid evaluation processes across learning interventions, analyse and provide reports on key recommendations and findings to stakeholders including programme board.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge and experience of designing, developing and delivering high quality, engaging training programmes, workshops and educational resources. Ideally to a wide range of audiences in a workplace or post-16 setting.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Rethink Nature is a partnership of seven leading species conservation organisations whose aim is ‘to combine their extensive knowledge and experience to catalyse the action that species need across the four nations of the UK’. We have received funding from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to set up a Species Recovery Partnership for NI to strengthen and build the Rethink partnership in NI, and work with government, other eNGOs and key stakeholders to better deliver key outcomes for species. You will work on behalf of the Partnership but be managed by the Head of Species at RSPB NI, and will be responsible for managing the Partnership Administrator. You will also work closely with Rethink Nature UK's Species Advocacy Lead. The role holder can be based anywhere in the UK but will be expected to travel to Northern Ireland (Belfast) approximately once every two months.
What's the role about?
We are looking for a highly organised and passionate individual with a good working knowledge of priority species in NI, the mechanisms needed to deliver for them, and the ability to bring stakeholders together. You will be responsible for managing the project to sure that that the following key outcomes are delivered within budget and on time.
- A set of Species Recovery Principles for NI
- A cross-taxa list of highest priority species for NI and concise species action plans (cSAPs) for these species
- A 3-day facilitated workshop to agree on the prioritised list and how the cSAPs and the bid will be developed.
- A NI Species bid, similar to those in GB (Species on the Edge, Back from the Brink, Natur Am Byth), to deliver the critical actions outlined in the cSAPs. This would form the basis of a bid to NLHF for development and delivery funding for a NI species bid.
- A document outlining the key policy and legislative changes needed to deliver for species in Northern Ireland and associated advocacy to ensure it gains attention and influences change.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Demonstrable experience of developing and working in partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
- Demonstrable leadership ability, able to lead without line management authority
- Organising meetings, facilitated workshops and events
