In this role you will be at the heart of debates over the future of London, its green spaces, planning and development. You will lead a small team, deliver high profile projects and influential campaigns, build and manage coalitions and put CPRE London on a more sustainable financial footing.
The succesful candidate will have a successful track record of organisational leadership and management as well as experience of the role of campaigning charities. You will be a strong communicator and networker and know how to generate and secure external support and funds. You will be ambitious for CPRE London's mission and be able to strengthen our organisation and grow our influence.

Salary: £48,000 (London office) or £43,000 (home-based)
Location: Old Street, N1 7NH. Most office-based staff work hybrid, working part of the time in the office and part of the time at home.

About the Role
CPRE is proud to be approaching our 100th year anniversary – a century of being a voice for the Countryside. As we look to celebrate this incredible milestone, we’re planning a year-long programme of inspiring events, campaigns and storytelling moments that reflect on our past, showcase our present, and shape our future. We want our events to have maximum reach and impact, build our brand and meet our Centenary objectives. This role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of a wide range of high-profile events, including a Conference, events at the Houses of Parliament, an Awards ceremony, and a high-profile reception that will close our Centenary year.
Main areas of responsibility - the day-to-day work
- Planning: Ensure optimum attention to detail and meticulous planning across a series of high profile events to achieve the highest standards at each event.
- End-to-End Event Management: Deliver a wide range of events including a Conference, high profile reception and Awards to the highest standard.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with all internal & external stakeholders to ensure objectives are met.
- Brand: Ensure all events reflect CPRE’s brand standards, tone, and messaging.
- Innovation: Incorporate innovative formats and technologies, as appropriate.
- Risk Management: Develop contingency plans and ensure health, safety, and legal compliance for all events.

This new role is critical to the success of our Centenary Year, a unique moment in CPRE’s long history. Working across the organisation, and with key external stakeholders, you will be the driving force behind our Centenary communications, maximising our reach and impact. Success in this role will rely on someone with high energy, confidence and significant experience of producing impactful content and digital engagement.
The key focus will be:
- Content creation & copywriting: write, edit and oversee the production of high-impact Centenary content across all channels
- Digital communications: Lead the development and optimisation of digital content strategies, ensuring consistent messaging.
- Digital marketing & promotion: develop an integrated digital marketing plan to build excitement and reach for key Centenary activity.
- Strategic Communications: bring to life the strategic comms plan, driving the development of key tools to ensure widest engagement
- Stakeholder engagement: work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to build strong understanding and engagement
