We are seeking an experienced and dynamic PR and marketing professional in our London fundraising office to design and deliver creative, multi-channel, integrated fundraising and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.
The success of this role will be dependent on engaging and building meaningful long-term relationships with both existing and new supporters through effective donor stewardship, attending events, and networking.
The successful candidate will work in conjunction with a small, dedicated team to provide fundraising, comms, and event support to our community fundraising groups.
High quality comms and media are going to be central to our plans to go public in a big way in 2024. Creating high-quality, impactful, and engaging content for multimedia platforms will be key. You’ll be able to identify stories from across the organisation, draw out information and ideas from others, and successfully turn complicated or clinical information into clear, simple, and compelling narratives.
The role requires a creative thinker with exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Main responsibilities:
Fundraising
· Develop and implement integrated fundraising, marketing and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.
· Create and promote compelling and engaging content for web, social media, and email – ensuring that all comms have clear goals and outcomes.
· Manage the key relationships with the Guild fundraising Committee and the SOA fundraising committee including comms, marketing, and event support as well as helping to manage the key relationships with the Knights Templar sub-groups, and the County Priory Groups across the UK.
· To put in place measures for evaluating the effectiveness of all fundraising, PR and marketing activity ensuring robust data collection, analysis procedures, and making suggestions for improvements where required.
· Manage the production of key organisational publications – including, the Jerusalem Scene magazine, Annual Report, Strategic Plan, Annual Leaflet, and other promotional materials.
· To work closely with the Executive Head of UK Office and project partners to deliver a new website, contributing expertise and ideas in regard to its look, feel and functionality.
· Take responsibility for the ongoing management and maintenance of the website, working with external consultants where required to resolve issues.
· Understand and apply the principles of up-to-date SEO.
· Working with colleagues in Jerusalem to maintain a bank of compelling messages, narratives, and case studies for use across all external communications.
PR & Media
· To actively promote the charity’s fundraising endeavours including drafting all external and internal messaging to both new and existing supporters – e.g. email campaigns, newsletters, invitations, letters, speeches, presentations etc. for senior staff and volunteers.
· Managing press and media opportunities related to SJEHG’s fundraising activities.
· Cultivate and maintain relationships with press and media, proactively pitching stories to secure media coverage, drafting press releases, media plans, articles, and other materials for SJEHG’s fundraising activities.
· To provide counsel and advice to senior leadership on external and internal messaging, as required.
Other
· To assist with the management of the marketing budget, monitoring expenses, ensuring cost effectiveness, seeking to maximise return on investment.
· To keep accurate records and help ensure effective data management processes across the organisation.
· Collaborate effectively with colleagues and a wide range of individuals and organisations.
· To uphold and enhance the charity’s brand identity through consistent messaging, and visual elements across all communication channels and materials.

ENN’s vision is: Every individual confronted by malnutrition has access to the knowledge, tools, services and resources they require to meet their needs. Purpose of the role
To maximise ENN’s impact, functioning and profile through the use of improved communication and digital strategy, accessibility, culture and practice.
Key responsibilities
Communications Strategy
- Lead the development and socialisation of an effective organisational communications strategy and implementation plan
- Analyse and brief ENN team and trustees on evolving Communications and Digital environment.
- Build a Communications and Digital culture through training and mentoring colleagues in the improved use of communications and digital tools and the establishment of organisational norms and ways of working.
- Curation of aligned branding, internal and external communication across all ENN’s workstreams, in line with ENN values and strategic objectives.
- Focal point for all ENN marketing, communications and digital issues
- Understand, segment and expand ENN’s current audience and networks and, in collaboration with others, increase visibility, presence and engagement with ENN’s network and audience
- Develop ENN’s Communications and Digital policies and risk management.
- Work with teams, collaborators and suppliers to embed clear processes, ways of working and guidance to deliver ENN’s communications strategy.
Management and Delivery
- Set up and maintain a communications plan and reporting framework to help drive a coordinated approach to communication across ENN’s portfolio
- Lead work with relevant teams and ENN’s partners to create and deliver digital communications, media and campaign programmes
- Maximise opportunities to drive brand awareness, raise the profile of ENN and engage with press and media where relevant
- Develop, measure and report on metrics, KPIs and other insightful analytics to inform decision making, evaluate impact and contribute to future strategy
- Manage the Communications and Digital Budget and the procurement of comms and digital resources as required
- Ensure internal digital procedures comply with appropriate standards and legislation and develop, monitor and maintain a digital governance model and guidelines which are fully compliant
- The CDM acts as an advisor to ENN’s Management Team, participating in meetings when appropriate, and is a standing member of the Strategic Leadership Team.
Operations and Delivery
Training:
- Oversee ENN and partner awareness, knowledge and understanding of the evolving context and best practices in communications, digital and marketing including use of appropriate media levers
- Develop and implement training programmes and pilots for internal colleagues on the use of all communications media around standards, best practices and house styles, including use of social media
Platform management:
- Manage and develop ENN social media platforms for optimal visibility, engagement and impact, working with donors and collaborators to proactively engage their platforms and networks towards mutually beneficial ends
- Oversee the management and development of ENN’s website including a new CMS and Forum platform
- Review and deliver performance indicators across all relevant platforms to ensure SEO and high user engagement is measured
Content:
- Work with copy editors, proof-readers, designers, podcast and video producers, developers and external agencies to create new, or update existing digital and publications content
- As a member of the FEX editorial team, provide specific and tailored input and support to ENN’s flagship publication Field Exchange (FEX) on style, brand, design and presentation of print and on-line content.
- Develop and apply guidance to ensure content is engaging and consistent with brand, house styles and tone
- Oversee and approve ENN’s social media content
- Develop and manage a bank of content including stories and images for use in ENN’s publications, products, monitoring and evaluation work and media usage.
- Coordinate publication of all marketing and publicity materials to ensure optimised impact
Analytics and reporting:
- Actively use omnichannel and multichannel reporting, analysis and insight to help develop and optimise campaigns, incorporating other monitoring & evaluation outputs where relevant.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification or experience preferably in media, journalism, science health or humanitarian communications, digital production, marketing or public relations
- Demonstrable experience of creating and implementing successful communication and digital strategies
- Demonstrable experience of planning, creating and publishing engaging content across digital channels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to adapt technical and scientific information for a range of audiences
- Experience in website project management and implementation
- Excellent team-working skills and ability to work collaboratively and autonomously
- Proficient in SEO, Google Analytics, content marketing and digital marketing strategies
- Experience in web content writing and management, web design and database management
- Experience in managing external communications providers including proof-readers, copy-editors, creatives / designers, translators, podcast and video producers, print publishers and web designers
- Excellent personal and professional integrity, strong cross-cultural awareness, demonstrable commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion.
- Fluency in English (written and oral)
Desirable
- Experience designing and delivering training in communications, marketing and digital media to colleagues

Terms and Conditions
Type of contract: Permanent
- Location: Office-based, with the opportunity to work from home 1 – 2 days a week. ENN’s office is in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
- Holidays: 25 days plus UK Public Holidays, increasing by one day per annum after two complete years of service to a maximum of 27 days per annum. Pro-rata for part-time staff.
- Pension: Auto-Enrolment to ENN scheme with a generous Employer contribution of 5%
- Salary: £39,000 per annum, full-time equivalent, dependent on experience and suitability for the role
- Hours of work: We are ideally looking for a full-time candidate (37.5 hours per week), however, applications for part time hours (i.e. a minimum of 0.8FTE / 30 hours per week) may also be considered

Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will line manage our Senior Media and Communications Officer and work closely with colleagues in our policy, public affairs and marketing teams to help ensure the College’s external affairs work is integrated, coherent and impactful.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of our annual media and communications plan, including priority campaigns in partnership with marketing, policy and public affairs colleagues
- Oversee our busy press office, ensuring we maintain strong media relations and are achieving high impact coverage on College priorities
- Deliver proactive external communications to promote awareness and impact of RCOG programmes, projects and products
- Ensure we are effectively using our social media and digital channels to listen, engage and influence, including production of videos, podcasts and webinars, etc.
- Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to gather intelligence and identify partnership opportunities
- Lead on ensuring the RCOG maintains effective communications and media processes, including forward planning tools, media logs, activity summaries, and evaluation reports.

Purpose of the Role
The Digital Marketing Manager will implement and help develop a new digital marketing strategy, crucial to the ongoing development of ArtsEd’s profile and reputation and the successful delivery of all our programmes.
Understanding the needs of current and prospective students and pupils and their parents, and being able to identify digital plans and initiatives which will enable ArtsEd to meet both the long and short-term needs is a central aspect of the role.
The Digital Marketing Manager will lead in the planning and implementation of digitally creative and customer focused campaigns and will be responsible for the achievement of student and pupil recruitment targets. They will work closely with senior staff and the rest of the Marketing team to deliver highly effective experiences to all stakeholders and potential stakeholders.
The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the continuing development of ArtsEd’s online profile amongst all of our target audiences, including high-level industry connections, potential supporters and the local community, alongside potential students, pupils and parents.
In addition, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that ArtsEd’s messaging is consistent, innovative and compelling across all platforms.
Digital Marketing
- Plan and execute digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising campaigns in collaboration with the wider marketing team.
- Use digital marketing expertise to create effective user funnels to optimise conversion rates, tracking user behaviour in order to refine processes.
- Collaborate closely with staff across the organisation to identify storytelling opportunities to ensure a full understanding of ArtsEd’s broad range of target audiences.
- Set up digital advertising campaigns through Meta, Google Ads and other platforms
- Utilise excellent graphic design skills to collaborate with the team on the design and delivery of different digital campaigns for all stakeholder groups. This will include mass e-mails, social media posts and digital collateral as required.

Design & Brand
- Be a guardian of the ArtsEd brand, ensuring correct and effective use of our branding and house style both internally and externally.

Recruitment
- Lead on the implementation and delivery of a robust digital marketing strategy to optimise student and pupil recruitment across the whole organisation. This will include:
- Building on existing digital activity to maximise its reach and impact against all of our target audiences, including digital and associated print advertising.
- Managing an associated programme of recruitment focused events and activities, both virtual and face-to-face, to raise our profile and to maximise our enquires, registrations, applications and acceptances across all of our activities.
- Supporting the relevant teams in the delivery of this programme, which will include existing activity e.g. Day School and Sixth Form Open Days, degree audition days and our outreach programme.
- To programme our email marketing conversion communication using software Mailer Lite/MailChimp

Social Media

- Complete quarterly digital impact reports

The Role
As our Marketing Operations Officer your role will be to build brand awareness, helping to ensure the Yorkshire Cancer Research brand is accurately and consistently presented across all marketing touchpoints, including branded merchandise and printed collateral.
Supporting the Marketing Manager, you will extend the charity’s reach across Yorkshire and support the marketing team to deliver effective marketing campaigns that engage supporters and help raise the profile of the charity.
Specifically, you will:

Work with stakeholders across the charity to define requirements for branded items and marketing products / services (e.g. branded merchandise / clothing, printed collateral, branded display items).

Manage the relationship with external marketing suppliers (e.g. printers, merchandise suppliers, signage companies etc.) to source marketing products and services.

Identify suppliers, make product recommendations, obtain samples / quotes and evaluate which products/services represent overall best value for the charity and formulate recommendations for approval.

Manage the procurement of marketing products/services in line with the charity’s procurement processes/policies.

Be responsible for stock management for branded items/collateral across the charity.

Develop a preferred-supplier framework for marketing products/services in partnership with the Finance and Corporate Services department.

Manage the marketing budget for branded collateral and merchandise, ensuring team and charity processes are adhered to.

Lead the Photo Permissions Process on behalf of the marketing team and ensuring appropriate permissions are in place for all images used in the charity’s marketing, ensuring that permissions are recorded appropriately on the supporter database.

About the role
Becoming the Programme Marketing Manager at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women is a fantastic opportunity to help drive progress for women entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries by engaging more people in our work.
The key purpose of this role is to effectively market our programmes to participants – chiefly our HerVenture business skills microlearning app and our sector-leading Mentoring Women in Business programme.
This will span three main projects:
· to successfully manage a marketing agency to effectively market the HerVenture app to women in South Africa (as part of a fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Mar ‘25);
· to successfully manage the same marketing agency to promote the app in Nigeria (as part of a separate fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Dec ‘24); and
· to effectively promote the opportunity to become a mentor to a woman entrepreneur through our Mentoring Women in Business programme to paying professionals worldwide. Your objective will be to secure 18+ paid mentors for the Nov ’24 programme intake and 20+ for the May ’25 intake.
Following the completion of the two HerVenture marketing projects, you will also lead other programme marketing initiatives in 2025. These will be determined in late 2024.
Following the May ’25 Mentoring intake you will deliver a strategy, harnessing your learning and analysis to outline an approach for marketing the programme to paying mentors in future.
You will also be called on to support other forms of programme marketing on an ad hoc basis, for example advising on development of corporate pitch decks, or co-designing materials for fundraising events.
This position reports directly to the Head of Communications and Marketing, however this is a highly collaborative role and you will also work closely with the Entrepreneurship programmes team and the Programme Funding team to develop and deliver plans and manage projects.
Our ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and motivated marketer with experience in ‘selling’ professional development / online volunteering opportunities, and in managing agencies and contractors to deliver on fixed projects as aligned to good marketing practices. Location: Hybrid - This role can be based at the MAF UK Offices in Folkestone, Kent or optionally could be in the Oxford, Cambridge arc as we seek to launch a new hub in the Milton Keynes area, maximising our engagement with a thriving local aerospace and charity sector region. Up to two days a week in our Folkestone Office might be initially required. We welcome hybrid working in line with our flexible working policy, the needs of the business, the requirements of the role and your location. This will be discussed at interview.
