As an IDVA you will:

• Provide a high quality, pro-active service to victims of domestic and/or sexual violence and abuse.
• You will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and the Bridgeway, SARC and other local partnership responses to domestic abuse and sexual violence.
• You will work with survivors and other agencies to monitor the care pathway. This involves risk assessment, helping clients access their rights, along with any other services they require.
• You will be required to attend relevant meetings and will provide regular reports to your line manager.
• You will also undertake talks and presentations to local groups and agencies on the work of Victim Support, developing networks and partnerships and increasing the role of the service in the community.

You will need:

• Experience of working with victims of domestic and sexual violence and other service providers and agencies in a statutory, voluntary, social or community setting.
• Experience of planning and delivering caseloads, with strong crisis management skills and an understanding of the needs of victims experiencing domestic abuse and sexual violence.
• An approved and accredited IDVA and/or ISVA qualification or willingness to work towards this.
• Good IT skills, knowledge of criminal justice issues and an understanding of the effects a court appearance can have on victims and witnesses of crime.

We're seeking a Freelance Women Off to Work (WOW) Employment & Training Officer to play a key role in engaging and recruiting local women onto this popular employability programme, and supporting them to access accredited and non-accredited training courses through inclusive outreach, programme support, co-design of training opportunities and workshops.

Since 2017, WOW has supported hundreds of local women from predominantly Global Majority communities through holistic training and pathways into work programme.

WoW delivers a blend of life and vocational skills training, promoting general employability and improved wellbeing through work experience placements, internships, job brokerage, practical advice on self-employment and micro-businesses, ESOL classes and more. Job Summary 

The Head of Student Representation is a critical member of the Students’ Union’s Delivery senior team and leads Durham SU’s work in influencing Durham University in students’ academic interests, through the support of student leaders and volunteers. The Head manages the Student Voice team, which coordinate support for academic representatives, and which provides policy advice to student leaders and the Durham SU senior staff.

The Head is also the operational lead for data protection, information governance, and data analysis. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

The Head of Student Representation is responsible for the performance, growth and sustainability of Durham SU’s professional staff team and volunteers, organised to support faculty and academic representatives.

In particular, the Head will: 

• Lead effective support for Durham student leaders who want to help make Durham University education better and fairer. 

• Anticipate and respond to student need in their education, seek and seize opportunity, and manage risk. 

• Ensure that Durham SU and its student leaders can, and do, speak with authority on matters impacting Durham students’ education, on behalf of the wider student community. 

• Provide advice and make recommendations to student leaders, Durham SU senior staff and the Board of Trustees on policy development within their area of responsibility.

Purpose of the job

Uniting Staffordshire Against Hate provides information, advice, guidance and practical and emotional support to victims of hate crime and hate incidents to help them cope and recover from their experience and exercise their rights under the Victims Code.

The role of a Hate Crime Victim Care Coordinator is an exciting and diverse one. You will provide holistic and person-centred support to children, young people and adults across Staffordshire who have experienced hate crime or incidents due to their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or transgender identity. You will help victims of hate come to terms with what has happened to them and provide practical and emotional support to reduce both the immediate and long-term impacts of hate.

You will work closely with other partners including the police, local authorities, housing providers and other support services to ensure that victims receive appropriate support and effective responses. You will also raise awareness of hate crime and the USAH service so that more victims are able to report hate crime and access specialist support.

As a Hate Crime Victim Care Coordinator, you will make a real difference to victims’ lives and will play an important role in tackling hate across Staffordshire.

Programme Manager – Nature Based Neighbourhoods (NBN) 

Salary:  up to £45,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid – remote working with one day fortnightly in WFET’s Leatherhead office (Wednesdays) 

Travel: Regular travel to project sites across England

About the Role 

We are seeking a strategic and community-focused programme manager to lead the delivery of the Nature Based Neighbourhoods (NBN) grant programme – a five-year partnership between Lund Trust and the Wates Family Enterprise Trust (WFET). 

The NBN programme supports urban communities to create greener, more connected neighbourhoods. It provides core funding, peer networking, and long-term planning support to community organisations working to improve access to nature. 

You will oversee all aspects of programme delivery, including grant management, stakeholder engagement, impact reporting, and communications. This is a unique opportunity to shape a long-term initiative that builds community power and drives nature-based change. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead programme planning, delivery and annual review cycles, ensuring it is delivered on time and to budget in a way that works towards its overall vision and aims.  

• Manage relationships with funded community partners ensuring they are well supported to deliver against their grant ambitions. 

• Foster cross-sector relationships in community

• Oversee grant administration and budget management 

• Work with the programme’s learning and impact partners to facilitate peer learning, evaluation and storytelling to share impact 

• Convene programme boards, partner meetings, providing key stakeholders with timely updates 

• Collaborate with internal teams to amplify programme visibility and creatively share learnings, supporting local and national movement building.  

Person Specification 

Essential: 

• Experience managing multi-year, large-budget projects, preferably in the third sector 

• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving change 

• Strong community engagement and facilitation skills 

• Skilled in impact evaluation and reporting 

• Passionate about climate action, social justice, nature and community-led approaches 

• Willingness to travel regularly 

Desirable: 

• Experience in grant-making

• Expertise in urban green infrastructure or climate transition 

• Ability to raise public profile of initiatives 

• Experience in cross sector collaboration

Connection to nature can have powerful social, health, economic and environmental benefits. These benefits are not shared equally. Our most deprived communities also have the least access to nature where they live. Communities are working to tackle this problem, but their efforts are often stifled by a lack of investment.  

The NBN programme aims to strengthen community organisations, providing the financial and non-financial resources they need to create greener neighbourhoods and communities more connected to nature. 

This work will take place in a small number of places and explore how sustained commitment, engagement and investment can transform outcomes for a place, people and nature.  

Specifically, this funding partnerships will:  

• Provide direct support in the form of core funding to selected urban community organisations that share our aims.   

• Provide communities with the means to connect with the great work already happening around the county and develop peer network.  

• Enable communities to co-develop equitable long-term plans to increase nature connection locally.  

• Support community-led story telling of this work, its challenges and successes.

About the role

As an eComm Assistant, you will support the eComm team in the delivery of our ambitious Bricks & Clicks strategy, supporting our 10yr strategy. Bringing the Crisis brand to life through commercially viable products and multiple income streams. You will get stuck into every aspect of the team including pre-retailing, photography, fulfilment, stock generation, and Shopify, building relationships with internal/external stakeholders and one-off projects.

Day to day tasks can involve:

• Preparation of stock: This can range from sorting a delivery of a single box of donated clothing or homeware to pallets of donated goods.
• Sorting and grading the stock based on its quality and sign posting to the marketplace where we will get the best value (shopify, ebay, depop, retail stores)
• Photographing, steaming/ cleaning, listing, and barcoding of inventory
• Picking and packing of orders & processing returns

About you

You will be based at our Canning Town warehouse and office space, working with the eComm and wider Retail Team.

You may have experience in retail, eComm or a role involving where you were required to be very organised and used to ensuring tasks are completed to allow the rest of the team function.
