We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Knowledge and Information Manager to lead our recently expanded Knowledge and Information team. In this role you will have responsibility for leading the development of our highly regarded information and resources, to support, and empower everyone affected by Crohn’s or Colitis. This includes our evidence-based online and printed publications, web content, research summaries and other information, ensuring it is relevant, and accessible to all.
You will be driving new initiatives and developing tactical plans for the team which meet our strategic objectives.
You will be a member of the charity’s Management Development Forum, providing leadership across the organisation and liaising with the Senior Leadership Team and contributing to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects.

About You
You will be skilled in the translation of complex medical and health information into engaging and accessible patient information, and have experience of working with patients and healthcare professionals to develop information resources in line with recognised standards.
You’ll be:-
- Managing the development of Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s repository of evidence about Crohn’s and Colitis.
- Experienced in appraising research and translating this for patients and the public
- Proficient in measuring the effectiveness of a promotion and dissemination and use of information
- Working with both our external and internal stakeholders.
- A skilled multi tasker, able to prioritise and meet deadlines.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced youth worker to join our Brent team. You will bring energy, compassion, and resilience to make a real change to the life chances of young people in the UK asylum system.
You will be responsible for supporting young people aged 14-25 years, enabling them to access a range of social, emotional, and practical support as they navigate the complex and challenging processes of the UK asylum system.You will help us run activities for young people at our advice hub on Wednesday evenings in Brent and run our youth group on Thursday evenings in Brent n as well as our sporting activities and trips.
You will work closely with our Brent Youth Development Coordinator. You will need to be able to work under pressure, acting as a consistent and stable point of contact for young people, ensuring that their safety and well-being are paramount.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have the following:
· Demonstrable experience in supporting vulnerable young people in a similar role, particularly through youth activities in 1;1 and/or group settings, or befriending/mentoring
· Good knowledge of the UK asylum system and the related challenges facing young refugees and asylum-seekers in contingency accommodation
· Strong ability to problem-solve, research information and solutions, and to take initiative
· Working knowledge of child protection issues and safeguarding processes
· Ability to empathise, communicate and engage effectively with young people in distress
· Ability to handle complex, sensitive and confidential information appropriately
· You are available to work on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

The Advice Manager will take the lead on BIAS’s day-to-day advice services, managing a small team of advice specialists to ensure that we provide the highest-quality service to our clients. KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES
Staff management
- Managing a small advice team, ensuring the quality of the advice provided.
- Providing support and supervision to staff on the delivery of advice services, ensuring that appropriate advice is provided and casework deadlines are met.
- Ensuring good teamwork and lines of communication between staff, volunteers and partner agencies.
- Creating a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are promoted and staff can do their best.
Quality and service delivery
- Leading the welfare advice services, including contributing to possible future expansion.
- Maintaining a small personal caseload (approximately one day’s work per week).
- Working with the Operations Manager to ensure that BIAS maintains the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and is successful in AQS renewal.
- Leading on monitoring service delivery, recording outcomes and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Managing all aspects of risk relating to advice delivery, complaints handling, safeguarding and GDPR.
Operational support
- Working with the leadership team as required on operational matters, including planning, strategy for future development and grant applications and reporting.

WHAT DOES BIAS DO?
BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our Active Ageing Clubs and our Be-a-friend volunteer scheme. We raise over £1 million in extra income for the most vulnerable every year and have over 3000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has exciting plans for possible further expansion in 2024 and has a range of medium- to long-term grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

Responsibilities
1. Account Management
- Day to day/ support account management of select corporate and community partnerships. This will be agreed with their manager per partnership (who will retain leadership), but could include:
- General stewardship including thanking and recording information on our CRM database (Donorfy) and shared drives.
- Representing the unit at local level events and/ or delivering marketing materials to community partners.
- Regular communication including calls, meetings and sharing reports, presentations and other updates
- Being key relationship holder for select local corporate partnerships and community groups such as primary schools, churches, supermarkets, amateur sports clubs
- Database admin including checking opportunity pipelines and reporting requirements
- Supporting individuals from companies or community groups to fundraise for us
2. Income generation
- Mapping (desktop research) of corporate and community opportunities across Surrey to support unit’s business development plans
- Management of a pipeline of golf clubs, making timely approaches to help the unit secure new captains’ charities
- Support role on larger corporate and community partnership pitches.
3. Event support
- Event management and/ or support for events across the unit.
- Represent Eikon at local external events such as conferences, expos, fetes and fairs.
- Actively seeking prize donations for auctions, raffles and events
- Attending community led fundraising events such as quizzes or mufti days run by corporate & community organisations.
4. Marketing, Communications and relationships
- Support and liaise with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver relevant and effective content and materials as well as maximising social media opportunities for corporate and community groups
- Coordinate bespoke mass communications to corporate and community groups e.g. appeals, reports and updates.
5. Strategy
- Contribute to Development Team strategies, annual plans and budgets

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Strategy, vision and impact [25%]
- Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives

The role
Main areas of responsibility
This is a key senior role within the Fundraising Directorate, collaborating closely with the Senior Corporate Manager – New Business the Fundraising Leadership Team to grow income and awareness from corporate sources.
The key focus of the role will be:
- Successfully lead the Corporate Partnerships account team to develop and deliver on our ambitious growth strategy across existing partnerships.
- Working collaboratively with the Senior Corporate Manager – New Business to deliver a seamless strategy, focussing on the transition of partners through business planning and maximising lifetime value.
- Being accountable for excellent stewardship and account growth plans specifically deepening of engagement to maximise ROI and longer term strategic partnerships.
- Using data, insight and innovation techniques to implement diversify income streams from existing partners.
- An active member of the Fundraising Leadership Team, managing key cross organisational projects on behalf of the whole fundraising directorate.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team to maximise immediate potential with existing partners and generate a more diverse portfolio of strategic and sustained income over time.
- Maintain oversight of our partnerships portfolio and pipeline and work with the Senior Corporate Manager – New Business to ensure a cohesive and collaborative transition of new partners into account management.
- Manage forecasting and expenditure for the Corporate Partnerships team providing updates, mitigation plans and horizon scanning for income opportunities. .
- Lead the team to develop and deliver cultivation and stewardship programmes for partners with clear growth targets
- Lead Corporate Fundraising representation across the organisation, to deliver projects and build new opportunities to help the FareShare deliver on its strategy.
- Establish effective and impactful relationships with current partners to ensure appropriate relationships are in place and effectively managed at all levels.
- Oversee account allocation across the team to maximise account growth and optimise return on investment.
- In collaboration with FareShare’s Operations Team ensure accurate monitoring and project progress on restricted funding.
- Provide inspiring and motivating leadership and coaching of direct line reports
- Work with the Senior Managers across fundraising to maximise cross selling opportunities, from employees to Major Donor prospects.
- Develop, monitor and maintain systems and processes including Salesforce database, financial accounting, account management plans, contracts and due diligence

- Demonstrable experience of delivering six-figure partnerships at scale in either a charity or commercial environment

The role
You’ll bring energy and enthusiasm to the team, ensuring financial functions are carried out efficiently, effectively, accurately and in a timely way to enable us to focus on achieving our charitable mission.
The focus of the role will be on managing and improving financial processes, ensuring that the Senior Leadership Team have up-to-date and accurate records for reporting to the Board, supporting the programmes and philanthropy teams with accurate fund reports and preparing the accounts for audit each year. You will work closely with the whole team of staff and volunteers, but you will work most closely with the Operations Director and the Finance Manager.
You’ll be provided with training on our CRM and IT systems. The successful applicant will always be expected to observe our values and policies and to actively engage with continuous professional development.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Treasury and Investment Management
· Monitor endowment investments and provide calculations and support in relation to total return
· Prepare quarterly investment management report
· Treasury management to maximise our investment returns
2. Bookkeeping and Management Accounts
· Work with the Finance Manager to ensure donations are properly recorded on our CRM and in Sage
· Work with the Finance Manager to reconcile bank accounts monthly
· Preparing monthly management reports, noting significant variances with forecasts
· Monitor outstanding debtors, and with line manager approval, chase overdue debtors
· Prepare fund balances when required by the programmes team to support grant-making
· Presentation of management accounts to board and engagement with board members as required
3. Annual Accounts
· Prepare statutory accounts, working with the Operations Director and CEO to ensure income and costs are allocated accurately across SORP categories
· Participate in the Audit process, engaging with auditors and prepare information for audit and liaise with auditors in the conduct of the annual audit process
· Prepare annual fundholder statements
· Support the Senior Leadership Team in the preparation of the annual budget and cash flow forecast
4. Other Work Required
· Support the Finance Manager and provide cross cover when required
· Attend SCF events as requested, including very occasionally, evenings

Person Specification - Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Required
· Ideally at least five years’ experience in a similar role
· Minimum of AAT Level 4, preferably ACA/ACCA or equivalent
· Experience of accounting software, especially Sage Line 50
· Experience of working with databases and Microsoft Office, including Office 365
· Knowledge of charity finance
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Able to work under own initiative but also able to request support when necessary

Job Summary
The Haringey Community Collaborative Manager is responsible for leading the development of the VCS Capacity Building strategy and the effective co-ordination of the Community Collaborative team which includes a Communications and Engagement Officer, a Workplace Development Manager, and a Capacity Building Manager.
We envisage the Haringey Community Collaborative Manager performing at either a primarily operational level or, for a more experienced candidate, at both operational and strategic levels. The salary range reflects this, with the upper end of the salary range reserved for candidates who can demonstrate an ability to deliver at both the operational and strategic levels.
Operationally, the postholder will have specific management responsibility for co-developing priorities for local VCS funding and capacity building, as well as the Volunteer Centre and wider VCS community of practice. The post holder has lead responsibility for developing the Annual Work Programme, performance management and reporting against the targets and milestones in the Contract.
Strategically, the role would include a wider contribution to the strategic management and development of Public Voice, supporting the CEO as required. This would include leading the shaping and delivery of a Capacity Building strategy; representing the VCS Alliance at stakeholder meetings and influencing key stakeholders to better support Haringey’s VCS; as well as growing the reach and impact of the Capacity Building service by engaging new funders and partners.

We’re looking for someone to train as a Community Energy Champion to be able to provide energy advice to people in communities.
You will visit clients at home to complete Home Energy Audits, providing information and individualised support, and facilitating access to options which will improve people’s wellbeing and energy security. This will include recommending grants and helping complete applications and forms.
