Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College (BRWC) runs a curriculum of free peer and professional-led workshops and courses across the borough of Bromley. Our aim is to enable students to achieve greater insight into their own mental wellbeing and gain skills to help them achieve personal goals, independence and self-management of their own mental health.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College coordinator to join SEL Mind on a one year fixed-term basis. You will work closely with the Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing Manager to develop a high quality college offer to the residents of Bromley. The role comes with the responsibility to provide day to day support and guidance to a team of tutors and volunteer co-facilitators to ensure efficient delivery of the college.

You will have experience of working in a busy fast-paced environment. Working autonomously but also as part of a team is key, as are problem solving and excellent organisational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people is also required. You will work closely with other SEL Mind colleagues as well as our Bromley Mental Health Hub partners Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

Hybrid working is considered in line with our policies and needs of the service. Occasional out-of-hours work is required to support with the delivery of courses running outside of core office hours.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly organised administrator to support our Fundraising team.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Harris Federation’s impactful fundraising efforts through vital administrative assistance. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships and other team members, you will help celebrate and acknowledge our donors by crafting thoughtful reports and heartfelt communications. Your contributions will ensure donors feel valued through timely updates, expressions of gratitude and meaningful engagement.

You will also establish and maintain an efficient system to manage our donation records, ensuring that every contribution is acknowledged and appreciated.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing administrative support to the Fundraising, Partnerships and Alumni department of the Harris Federation
• Supporting the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships and colleagues with donor reporting, including managing invoices, preparing thank-you communications, providing timely updates and sending reports to funders
• Maintaining an accurate database and systems to manage donation records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
• Coordinating and tracking fundraising activities, deadlines and events to support the smooth operation of campaigns
• Assisting with scheduling meetings, managing calendars and organising internal and external communications
• Supporting the preparation of fundraising proposals, presentations and other documentation as required
• Handling incoming enquiries related to fundraising and partnership activity professionally and promptly
• Contributing to the evaluation and continuous improvement of fundraising administration processes

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. This is a community-based position working from home but covering the West Midlands: Staffordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire.

Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process. 

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.

This is home based and the candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the region covered. Occasional travel to London will be required. The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

Join our passionate Community Fundraising team and play a vital role in delivering exceptional support to our incredible community supporters. You’ll be the first point of contact for our bronze level supporters, providing warm, responsive and inspiring stewardship that helps them maximise their fundraising efforts and feel truly valued

As the Community Fundraising Assistant, you will oversee a growing caseload of supporters, combining automated supporter journeys with personalised touchpoints to deliver an outstanding experience. Could you be the impactful Programme Director we seek to lead, develop and oversee the delivery of the next stage of the Richmond Group Physical Activity Programme and We Are Undefeatable Campaign (WAU), with a budget of £8m?

This influential post is offered as a fixed-term contract ending March 2028. It will initially involve improving programme oversight and integrating the Physical Activity Programme and the We Are Undefeatable Campaign teams to enhance collaboration and ways of working. The Physical Activity Programme, a partnership with Sport England and the National Lottery, is entering an exciting new phase, which will focus on the evolution of We Are Undefeatable, from Above-The-Line to an 'always on' campaign, expanding our system influencing work, both nationally and at 'place' level, and building a powerful evidence base for how we can support the least active to move more

The role will have overall responsibility for the implementation of the strategic aims of the programme and ensure effective governance, budget oversight, and delivery of the system influencing work and WAU campaign. As Programme Director, you will extensively collaborate at leadership level with existing and new partnerships and stakeholders, parliamentarians and systems leaders to drive impactful interventions.

We operate a hybrid-working model and will require the post holder to be in our central London office a minimum of two days each week. Travel costs to our London office are not covered by the charity.

Essential criteria:

• Proven experience in programme management, ideally within the health sector or physical activity, in a fast-paced organisation Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership management to influence change, increase collaboration and sustainability

​​​​​​The Youth Violence Intervention Practitioner role is to be part of the youth work team within Redthread with a primary focus on youth violence interventions in a health care setting. In this role you will be part of the Youth Violence Intervention Programme team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. You will support young people aged, 11-25 years old, who present to hospital following an incident of violence of for whom them there are concerns around exploitation or extra-familial farm. You will work with the young person in the hospital as well as supporting them post discharge to ensure they have the support in place that they need and want. Other tasks include: 

• Hold a caseload and work with young people in a range of settings, including in A&E and on the wards, in the community, in face-to-face and group contexts, and promote their personal, educational, health and social development through all interactions.
• Assist with the on-going development of the service model to ensure that clients gain the maximum benefit from Redthread’s interventions.
• Ensure information resources such as client forms, databases and contact files are kept fully up-to-date and secure, in line with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and our Confidentiality Policy and Consent Policy. Maintain high quality recording of interventions with young people on our database, Threads, in line with Redthread’s best-practice requirements. (Training will be provided.)
• Collect and record evidence of project outcomes and young people’s achievements, to ensure the completion of monitoring forms and project progress reports as required.
• Maintain a good level of knowledge of the issues around youth violence and Child Exploitation.
• With guidance and support from the Team Leader, develop skills to further your work with the young people.

You will be able to demonstrate the following criteria:

Essential Criteria:

· A track record of securing five-figure grants or more from trusts, foundations and other donors;

· Knowledge of the fundraising landscape in the UK;

· Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, for a range of audiences, including creative storytelling and project framing;

· Ability to analyse and synthesise research and data into compelling reports and funding applications;

· Ability to develop full cost recovery budgets and carry out all compliant financial reporting;

· Ability to carry out all grant management reporting accurately and in a timely manner, with knowledge of GDPR-compliant data management;

· Ability to work independently, being proactive, organised and results-driven, while maintaining an ethos of collaboration and teamwork;

· Excellent time-keeping and ability to meet deadlines;

· Experience using a range of IT packages and platforms.

Desirable Criteria:

· Experience working with young people, youth organisations or in the education sector;

· Knowledge of the fundraising landscape internationally;

· Experience using social media for marketing and communication.

Further information

Hours: 14 hours per week (through an annualised hours working pattern).

Location: Remote working although the successful candidate will be expected to work from Cumberland Lodge a minimum of one day per month.  Applicants should be aware that Cumberland Lodge is not easily accessible by public transport, so alternative forms of transport (bicycle, car) are helpful.

Annual leave: 33 days including Bank Holidays which will be pro-rata. The charity is closed over the Christmas period which will be deducted from the leave allocation.

Pension: Standard Life contributory pension (up to 10% contributions to support 5% personal contributions, with the option to increase personal contributions over and above 5%).
