About the Role
- We are seeking a proactive, experienced professional who will work with the CEO to drive the implementation of our People and Culture strategy across the charity;
- You will work with the Leadership Team to develop a consistent, healthy working culture supporting a thriving, ambitious charity;
- You will ensure use of our planning system across the charity, which links strategy with the role of each staff member;
- You will manage a small HR and Governance team and provide practical support to managers including employment relations issues;
- We are looking for someone with experience of contemporary psychological approaches in the workplace as well as a strong interest in embedding equality, diversity and inclusion.
- This role will suit someone with strong experience as a People and Culture Business Partner or manager in a charity or similar, with the aptitude to flex to a wide range of tasks and the ability to manage a small team.

About the role:
You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet VS and Homicide Service standards and contractual requirements. You will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisational skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload and will have experience of achieving key performance indicators, as set by the Operation managers and Deputy Head of Service.
We pride ourselves on providing exceptional trauma informed advocacy and support to all service users and you will have an understanding of the impact that trauma and bereavement can have on individuals. We support staff to keep them safe within their role and you will lead on the importance of personal and professional resilience and wellbeing for the team.
You will have excellent communication skills and will support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team. You will be prepared to travel across the geographical area including occasional overnight stays to ensure you can meet team members in person as well as online. A driving license and use of a car are both essential as well as access to public transport. You will be reimbursed for all travel costs.
You will also enjoy working closely with a range of stakeholders (including Police Family Liaison Officers and Senior Investigation Officers within the Major Crime teams) and will have experience in building constructive working relationships, focused on delivering the best service for vulnerable service users. You should be a confident presenter, and able to share the service and work we do to inform, educate and encourage notifications and referrals into the service.

As Community Energy Engagement Adviser, you will be empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. You will train retail staff and volunteers to engage with individuals and families, with a particular emphasis on energy advice and support.
The service will help customers through their unfair extra costs and additional vulnerability to fuel poverty.

You will:

- Create and share information on energy saving, bill management, and renewable energy benefits.

In this role you will be responsible for working across corporate partnerships, major donors, trusts and foundations, with a prominent focus on supporting with account management of existing partnerships and developing our pipeline of prospects. Partnerships

- To manage the input of corporate partnership data on the CRM system (currently Donorfy).

- Supporting the Corporate Volunteer Researcher to undertake the necessary research to support our pipeline of approaches.
Philanthropy
- Creating supporter updates and reports to demonstrate the impact of funding received from our Patrons and Major Donors, providing excellent stewardship to existing donors.
- Provide support with the event planning of major donor events, and attend in person to provide support of events on the day.
Trusts and Foundations
- Support with research and the successful completion applications to secure donations from a pipeline of identified Trusts and Foundations
Stewardship
- Identifying new opportunities to create wow moments for donors and provide excellent stewardship of all major donors and partnerships.
General
- General administrative duties, including record meeting notes and actions, following up with partners, sending out of promotional materials, monitoring and responding to email enquiries, and taking telephones calls.
- Any other duties to support the success of the fundraising team.

Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post. Specialist Support Workers provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. Our client has an opportunity for a Community Support Worker to support their homeless clients and identify their needs, through active listening and working with each individual on a one-to-one basis.
In this varied role, no two days will be the same, as you provide advice on housing, welfare benefits, rent deposits and household goods, liaising with housing providers to prevent homelessness and assisting with the practicalities of moving to new accommodation. You’ll be on-hand to be a key contact for your clients when they are experiencing difficulties and encourage the development of skills such as budgeting and cooking to help them take control of their lives. You will work with colleges, training agencies and employers to help the client have access to training, education, employment or to maintain their benefit entitlement
About you
They are looking for an empathetic, and supportive individual with an interest and genuine passion for wanting to work with vulnerable people in the homeless sector. You will have clear verbal and written English skills along with experience working in a client/customer facing role. Above all, you will be committed to making a positive impact in someone’s life and making changes to the community. We looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our North East Care Team.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager out of our North East Care team base and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.
Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand the processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact
