This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team at Camden Carers and make a difference to the lives of people and families in Camden. We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and flexible team member who is able to adapt to the ever changing and challenging times we find ourselves in.
Carers, who provide care for a family member, partner or friend who has a disability or long-term illness, play a vital role in our community. Many people who have someone who depends on them for support don’t consider themselves a carer yet they are fundamental to the effort to keep people cared for and safe, whilst saving the NHS billions.
Camden Carers proactively embraces equality and diversity at the very core of what we do, throughout the organisation. Our commitment to equality, diversity and anti-racism is to ensure that all carers have equal access in accordance with their individual needs to our services, no matter their background, belief, sexual orientation, disability, gender, or ethnicity.
As a part of the Support & Wellbeing Team, you will be required to identify informal carers from all communities in the London Borough of Camden, who care for a family member, partner or friend living with a Mental Health condition. You will provide relevant and appropriate support, information and advocacy to informal carers.
You will need proven experience of delivering provision within a related field and working with people and/or community groups; in particular we are keen to find someone with knowledge and experience in Mental Health. More details can be found in the job application pack on our website.
Camden Carers values the diversity of its community and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We therefore encourage applications from all sections of the community. We would like to encourage people who have been or are currently carers to apply. We are committed to ensuring that all employees and job applicants are provided with equality of opportunity in employment.

We are excited to be advertising the role of Psychotherapy Service Manager at Respond, to lead our team and the development of our psychotherapy services with autistic people and people with learning disabilities who have experienced trauma and their families. Many of our clients may have experienced complex or multiple traumatic experiences including sexual violence, domestic abuse and neglect.

The current team of 10 are made up of 4 senior therapists (reporting to the postholder), 4 therapists and 2 honoraries in training, the majority of whom are Arts therapists and work within a psychodynamic and/or systemic model.
We welcome applications from experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapists, Arts therapists, Psychologists or Family Therapists who are passionate about our work. You will work psychodynamically, champion our trauma informed approach including our reflective practice model and have the opportunity to influence and shape the development of the psychotherapy service. We are offering the role at 4-5 days per week, working in a hybrid manner flexibly. You can also hold your own small case load of clients, supervisees and/or consultancy work within the role.
This is a unique and specialist role and we recognise that you may have more experience in one clinical area or client group than another, given the breadth of our work and whilst you may be experienced in working psychodynamically as a therapist and as a line manager, you may be newer to leading a service for example. Further information about Respond
Respond is entering the last year of our three-year strategy, in which we will continue to be focusing on our psychotherapy service, which is a core part of Respond’s offer as a charity for now thirty-four years. Our mission is to reduce the impact of trauma in the lives of people with learning disabilities and autistic people, by developing trusting relationships, through psychotherapeutically informed services which include advocacy, training and consultation.
An important part of our work at Respond is working in a trauma-informed way. What this means for us is that we hold in mind the impact of trauma at all levels of the organisation, and all staff take part in reflective practice or team dynamics.
We provide a range of trauma-informed services for children, young people, adults and professionals. These include psychotherapy, advocacy, training and other support services. The work we do is generally long term in recognition of research that clients with autism and learning disabilities who have experienced abuse and trauma take longer to process their trauma and to recover.
We are keen to encourage applications from a diverse range of candidates including people with lived experience, who are both interested in working in partnership to provide support, as well as supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people who have experienced trauma.
We are committed to the furthering of human rights, equality, and positive social change through our therapeutic and advocacy work and are committed to anti-racism and other forms of anti-discriminatory practice. We recognise that we need to continually keep this as a focus in our work and as an integral part of our organisational strategy.
We celebrate diversity as an employer and as a provider of services to people who often experience multiple discriminations because of (but not limited to) being autistic or having a learning disability and experiences of trauma.
We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement in the person specification, we encourage you to apply anyway and demonstrate how your experience is transferrable for this role. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles within the organisation.

Do you want to join our commitment to ensure no family faces cancer alone?
We are looking for a standout relationship manager to join our fantastic team of fundraisers who work tirelessly to raise funds for Young Lives vs Cancer. This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.
A great personality and team ethic are really important in this role as you will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement' team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver a legendary experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.
East Midlands is filled with some of our most committed supporters and there is so much opportunity to grow our supporter base across the region. Our Social Workers support families from across the counties and our Home from Home 'Billy's House' in Nottingham enables families to stay close to their loved one for free during treatment, so building relationships with these teams is a must.
We are not your average employer, nor are we looking for an average candidate in a 9-5 role. What we offer is the flexibility and adaptivity to ensure that your personal work/life balance is taken care of. Whether it is finishing early for an appointment, picking up from school or further education, we can help to make it work for you. Many of the team work condensed or flexible hours to suit their individual circumstance so we would love to discuss your needs more at interview.
Experience within a similar role, or within the charity sector, would be great but we know that a lot of the most important skills in this role are easily transferable from another sector. We want the right person and we will invest in training the right candidate. The skills we are looking for in this role are:
• Master at storytelling
• Epic at relationship building
• Strong prioritisation skills
• Great communicator
• Self-Motivated
• Self-Aware
• Great at spotting opportunities
• Influencing/Negotiating
• Compassion
• Bravery
• Integrity
• Team player
The must haves:
• Have a full UK driving licence and access to a car (including business insurance)
• Have a sufficient Broadband connection if home based
• Live in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire or Northamptonshire. Candidates who live outside of the local authority should highlight an intention to relocate to the area in their covering letter for their application to be considered
This role is subject to a Criminal Record Check. In the event of a successful application a Disclosure report will be sought at a basic level.
