We are looking for a dynamic individual to take on the day-to-day running of the Digital Champions project and network. Digital Champions are volunteers who inspire and motivate others to get online, while encouraging and supporting them to develop their digital skills and confidence. As the project continues to evolve, there will be an increased focus on Digital Champions placed in local health care settings across the borough. Digital Champions will operate at local community venues including Community Pharmacies, Phlebotomy clinics, and at community events, with a strong focus on NHS App promotion to Bexley residents. This is an opportunity to be at the centre of an exciting, innovative partnership project, working closely with the statutory and voluntary sector partners in taking the scheme into a new phase of development. Key Duties:

• To be the first point of contact for the existing network of Digital Champions in the borough, and support organisations to recruit, onboard and manage new Digital Champions.
• To directly manage a pool of Digital Champions under BVSC and lead on recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• To organise regular online and face-to-face meetings for Digital Champions.
• To develop and implement a communications plan that raises awareness of the Digital Champions Network in Bexley and of the challenges and opportunities digital inclusion presents.
• To explore new opportunities with partners and the sector more broadly in a way that aims to expand the digital champions project and create a more digitally inclusive culture for Bexley residents.
• To organise regular events, training and information sessions for Digital Champions based on needs.

The purpose of the Senior Direct Marketing Officer’s role is to deliver and evolve the acquisition and retention strategy, inspiring the people of London to become long-term supporters of the Charity.

Background

Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence is a company Limited by Guarantee which is registered with the Charity Commission (Registered Number 1077863).  The registered aims of the Charity are:

• to help relieve the suffering and distress of persons who have been raped or

sexually abused; and

• to advance the education of the public in the subject of rape and sexual

abuse and their effects.

The registered activities are:

• to promote the recovery of any adult or young person of any gender who has

experienced rape or sexual abuse at any point in their life; and 

• to offer one to one counselling, phone support, forensic medicals following

recent incidents, with or without police involvement, young people's service,

trust & support through court and criminal proceedings.

Purpose of the Job

The role is to provide a high quality, specialist service to victims of sexual violence including provision of one to one therapy for clients aged between 0 and 18. The role includes provision of therapeutic assessments to clients across Derbyshire who have been referred to the Therapy Service either through self-referral, or other external pathways.

To work within a multi-agency setting to provide an empathetic and pro-active support service to victims of historical sexual violence aged 0-17 and their families, within and outside of the criminal justice system, including pre-trial therapy.

This role is part of the Therapy Service which comprises of a team of Adult and Children’s Therapists offering counselling, therapy, support groups, parent support sessions and other therapeutic interventions to victims of sexual violence and secondary survivors.

Accountability

The Childrens Therapist will be line managed by The Therapy Delivery Manager. The post is part of a wider team at SV2 delivering a range of support services to victims of sexual violence.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

General

• Deliver appropriate individual face to face or phone/online therapeutic services to victims (aged 0-18) of historical sexual violence or abuse at any point in their lives.

· To provide specialist counselling assessments and one to one therapy in line with the specific funded project

· To work with the whole SV2 therapy team to ensure smooth transition of client referrals into the service

· Maintain current and accurate records of clients and client interactions, and provide reports and information on clinical practice as required, in line with BACP guidelines, SV2 policies and Data Protection Act using agreed frameworks

· To contribute towards the Clinical Governance process within the service

· Undertake CPD as identified in annual appraisal and line management processes

· To support members of the team and sub-contracted therapists to deliver support groups to clients

· To offer ad hoc psychoeducational support sessions to the parent/carers of children receiving therapy within the Therapy Service

· To support the Therapy Delivery Manager by taking an active role in the Student Counsellor Placement Scheme including promotion, interviews, induction, mentoring and offering ongoing support to student placements and volunteers

· To work within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Agency’s policies and procedures

We are looking for a part time Intervention Worker to join our Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme Service – the Your Choice Project (voluntary perpetrator programme). 

Our Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme Service aligns with the Respect Standards – a framework for safe, effective, and survivor-focused work with perpetrators of domestic abuse in the UK.  Due to specific requirements of the role (in line with Respect Standard B6) we are looking to recruit a male candidate to this post. 

The Intervention Worker will be responsible for delivering sessions (group and one to one as may be required) with people who recognise that they are or have been using power and control to abuse their partner, ex-partner or family member and who want to address this behaviour.  The Intervention Worker will undertake such sessions in a way that prioritises the safety of those at risk from domestic violence and abuse.

We are looking for someone who has experience of providing group work and/or one to one counselling and an understanding of: 

• Domestic violence and abuse and its effects on survivors 

• Why some people use abusive behaviours in relationships 

• The range of models used in addressing abusive behaviour 

• Safeguarding procedures in relation to children and vulnerable adults.

The Brand and Strategic Communications team leads the development of brand and communications strategy which aligns to wider organisational objectives and works collaboratively with stakeholders across internal and external networks to execute it. About the Role:

As one of our Communications Managers you will employ strategic, insight-driven and creative approaches to communicate WaterAid's impact and engage target audiences in WaterAid's mission. In this role you will develop communications strategies which helps WaterAid maximise brand-reach and income-raising potential and lead cross-functional teams to execute them.

You'll also: 

• Specialise in the development of bespoke activity for key partnerships and private sector audiences, in close consultation with external partners.
• Champion on-brand messaging and creative which resonates with target audiences.
• Own and be responsible for the development of Strategic Communications Frameworks, which enable multi-disciplinary teams to work cohesively and effectively.
• Develop effective working relationships with colleagues across all directorates, fostering an environment of collaboration and when appropriate, challenging to deliver the highest quality work.
• Advise best use of communications budget to achieve set objectives.
• Commission and/or utilise insight to inform communications plans.

About You:

• Education to a degree level or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrable experience in developing, leading and executing high quality, effective communications strategies that achieve desired results.
• Experience in designing communications campaigns for a range of target audiences and advising on optimum distribution channels to reach them.
• Experience working in, or in partnership with, the private sector, with a sound understanding of corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
• Excellent time management skills, able to prioritise work across multiple projects to meet deadline.
• Ability to generate and develop creative and innovative ideas, with a good eye for brand, design, film and photography.

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

• Experience of international development issues and/or working in the voluntary sector in a communications role.

Main purpose of post  

The main purpose of this post it to work alongside the Events Manager and Fundraising team to help deliver a range of charity events, both Weston Park Cancer Charity led and third part events, throughout the year. This will also involve seeking out new opportunities and events that the charity can get involved with in order to continually grow the events portfolio year on year.

This Role will also involve working closely with our supporters, especially those attending/taking on an event for the charity by providing a high level of donor care.

We are looking for someone with a passion for events and the charity sector, and the ambition to help continually grow our event generated income.

What you do  

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Events Manager to plan, organise and deliver the Weston Park Cancer Charity key events across the year including: Doncaster Race Evening, Golf Days, Walk as One and Sing Under the Stars.

• Work with the Events Manager to deliver third party active events including: Skydive, Yorkshire Three Peaks and Great North Run.

• Provide support as well as lead on other events that the charity may be involved with throughout the year including hospital engagement events.

• Work with the Events Manager to continually develop the charity events portfolio for 2025 and beyond

• Provide high level donor care to support donors on their ‘journey’ for those taking on an event for the charity, through exploring opportunities to feel connected and enthusiastic about the work that we do. This will involve welcoming supporters, sending them good lucks and following up with them post event to see how they got on.

• Work closely with our fundraising platform, Raisely, to give our supporters the best stewardship journey possible.

• Seek new event opportunities that Weston Park Cancer Charity could partner with or be involved in.

• Keep up to date with current event trends

• Represent the charity at charity events across the region and the UK

• Understanding the opportunities for developing new relationships as well as retaining existing ones.

• Working on agreed targets and objectives to increase both awareness of the charity, and funding to maintain it’s vital services.

• Working as part of a supportive fundraising team to positively promote Weston Park Cancer Charity within South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire.

• Support the whole fundraising team with innovative and creative ideas for income generation that make us stand out from the crowd.

• Ensure that all communication and interaction with donors is captured through the Fundraising database CRM System and that all donors are thanked timely and efficiently.

• Apply the guidance provided by the Fundraising Regulator and Institute of Fundraising or any fundraising governing bodies to any fundraising activity

• Providing support for fundraising initiatives, campaigns & events during the year

• Attend and contribute to team meetings and 'away days' and be an active, invested member of our team
