The Acquisition & Retention Manager will lead and manage the multichannel donor acquisition portfolio/program within the Individual Giving function at Birmingham Women’s and Children's Hospital Charity.The Charity has been growing its supporter base over recent years and has an ambition to create a step change in our approach and significantly grow our 'Individual Giving' donors and supporters.
Principle Responsibilities
The Acquisition & Retention Manager will be responsible for creating and delivering a multi-channel acquisition Retention strategy that fully supports the goals and objectives of the wider Charity strategy.The post holder will develop, manage and grow the existing acquisition program via a range of Digital and Face to Face campaigns utilising third party agencies for Private Site, Door to Door and, telemarketing activities, as well as management of our own onsite Face to Face acquisition team.
The postholder will have substantial experience of working within or managing a successful fundraising acquisition team, with excellent working knowledge of sector practises and channels to ensure best use of budget, ensure a competitive cost per acquisition (CPA), while increasing loyalty, engagement and lifetime value (LTV) among existing supporters.

About You

You’ll lead a talented, committed team, shape our high-value approach, and build strong, credible pipelines that turn ambition into real, lasting impact. Equally importantly, you’ll ensure our fundraising feels authentic, keeping people with a learning disability at the heart of every conversation, proposal, and partnership.

About the role: You will be creative, self-motivated, conscientious and energetic, and have superb interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with a wide range of people and build the supporter base of St Petrock’s. You will have strong project and event management skills to lead on major fundraising campaigns and events such as our annual Christmas fundraising video campaign, the Big Night Out sponsored sleepout, and the Big Night In fundraising dinner, along with the imagination and drive to develop a full programme of public fundraising challenges and events. You will also have the knowledge and drive to develop legacy giving and major donor programmes and, supported by the Fundraising and Communications Officer, will be responsible for our social media platforms, website, media relations, and other external communications.
You will be primarily based at the St Petrock’s homelessness centre, with the opportunity for some hybrid working (at home or at local co-working venue). Given the nature of the role, it is essential that you have a suitably insured vehicle and are able to attend meetings and events outside normal working hours to share about St Petrock’s as needed.

We are now looking for a Fundraising Data Insights Officer (FDIO) to join our Data Insights & Supporter Experience team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves turning data into insight and wants their work to make a meaningful difference for young people and communities across the country.
About the role
The FDIO will take the lead in developing the reports, dashboards and insight that directly support fundraising growth. Working closely with colleagues across the fundraising team, you’ll build accessible visualisations, monitor performance against key metrics, and support predictive analytics projects such as donor retention modelling and lifetime value forecasting.
You’ll also work hand-in-hand with our Database Manager to improve data quality, support data imports and ensure we are capturing information effectively across the organisation. An important part of the role will be helping non-technical colleagues understand and interpret data so they can make confident, insight-driven decisions.
About you
We’re looking for someone who has hands-on experience with CRM systems (ideally Raiser’s Edge or similar), strong reporting and visualisation skills, and the ability to work confidently with data importing and management processes. You’ll be analytical, curious, and a natural problem-solver with strong Excel skills and the ability to present data clearly to different audiences.
Experience of predictive analytics or advanced segmentation would be an advantage, but most importantly you’ll be someone who enjoys improving systems and has a proactive approach to data.
