What you will be doing
This role supports the delivery of our Individual Giving programme, specifically in support of our Puppy Sponsorship Scheme. The delivery of exceptional supporter care across multiple channels lies at the heart of the Supporter Services team and forms an integral part of the Individual Giving retention strategy. In many instances, you will be the first line of enquiry either by telephone, email, social media, or letter (and occasionally face-to-face) for Hearing Dogs’ supporters.
- Present a professional, positive, and proactive approach to supporter care and adherence to best practice regarding stewardship and supporter engagement.
- Be proactive in stewardship process improvement and development, maintaining up-to-date guidance notes for areas of your work.
- Ensure all interactions with supporters are logged in the CRM system and where appropriate passed on to the relevant team(s) in a timely manner.
- Use KPIs and SLAs to track, measure, and report on performance to ensure supporter care consistently meets our high standards.
- Process telephone, post and email enquiries/donations regarding and related to the Puppy Sponsorship Scheme, and ensure that all queries are responded to and resolved within recommended stewardship guidelines and timeframes for the team.
- Assist with maintenance of Puppy Sponsorship data on the Charity’s CRM to ensure supporter records are up-to-date and accurate, flagging any issues to the Supporter Services Manager.
- Prepare data for Puppy Sponsorship updates and build email communications.
- Assist with the production and cleaning of mailing files to support fundraising appeals, raffles, lotteries, and other products.

The Volunteer Development Assistant will be the main point of contact for volunteer enquiries and requests and will work across Back Up to understand volunteer needs in order for the volunteer team to grow and support delivery of our life changing services. About the Finance team

The Assistant Management Accountant is a critical role within the organisation and is being recruited at an exciting time as Kidney Care UK seeks to realise its growth ambitions within its strategy.
The role will provide support to the Financial Controller in effective stewardship and oversight of all finance functions, with responsibility for ensuring accurate budget holder reporting, project reporting and aid in the production of management accounts. This role is essential to the reporting of financial information across the Charity. The Assistant Management Accountant will also support in the delivery of new projects and systems advancements.
In addition the Assistant Management Accountant will help to prepare the Charity’s quarterly VAT returns, ensuring that all transactions have the correct VAT coding. The role will be pivotal in the monthly close down process and ongoing accuracy of the transactions held on the accounting system.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be highly organised. The ideal candidate will be able to organise conflicting priorities around the monthly management accounts cycle. They will be flexible and adaptable in their approach to support transformational change in our processes and systems.
Core tasks and responsibilities
- Monthly accounting, budgeting, reporting and analysis:
- Produce monthly budget vs actual variance reports for budget holders.
- Prepare monthly expenditure reports for the patient grants team, reconciling the finance system to the database.
- Prepare and post the weekly income imports from information provided by Fundraising.
- Undertake regular monthly income reconciliations with the Fundraising Team, agreeing the finance system to the database.
- Aid in the month-end closing procedures and prepare the monthly reconciliations required: bank reconciliation, corporate card reconciliations, project reconciliations.
- Ensure that proper procedures are in place and followed for company credit cards, ensure that credit card expenditure is entered and reconciled through the control account and balanced each month.
- Ensure that all transactions are correctly accounted for in respect of VAT.
- Aid in training non-finance staff on ExpenseIn (our expenses management system). Support the Financial Controller in resolving ExpenseIn queries.
- Raise invoices and maintain the sales ledger.
- Covering for the Accounts Assistant on the purchase ledger when required.
- Aid in the monthly payroll process, incorporating a review of the payroll workings and allocation journal prepared by the outsourced payroll function. Ensure that the correct pension deductions are being made and accounted for correctly on the finance system.

About the Role
As the Supporter Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our engagement strategies to cultivate relationships with our valued Christian* supporters. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will lead initiatives to increase prayer, giving, and church engagement, aligning with our broader objectives. You will manage our Supporter Engagement Co-ordinator, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of our supporter-centric initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supporter engagement strategy to bolster our supporter base and enhance engagement levels.
- Curate a tailored stewardship journey for major donors and legacy pledges, providing personalised communications and resources to foster continued support.
- Oversee the management of our supporter database/CRM, ensuring compliance with GDPR and all relevant legislation.
- Utilise data analytics to design targeted campaigns and initiatives aimed at expanding our supporter network across various channels and touchpoints.
- Lead church engagement efforts, forging and nurturing connections with local and national churches and networks.
- Collaborate with our Activities and Community Engagement (ACE) Facilitators to enhance engagement within our care homes and housing schemes.
- Drive regular prayer communications, fostering a culture of prayer support through various platforms including our online Prayer Wall.
- Organise and lead supporter-facing events such as exhibitions and conferences to facilitate meaningful interactions with existing and prospective supporters.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and share insights with internal teams to inform strategic decision-making.
About You
- Minimum of three years of experience in the charity or third sector.
- Proven track record in supporter engagement and database management.
- Good understanding of UK GDPR regulations.
- Familiarity with fundraising functions and project management.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Team player with a reliable and detail-oriented work ethic.

Overview of the role
The Executive & HR Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring that BRAC’s office in Europe operates efficiently and effectively to deliver its mission to support BRAC’s work. The Database Assistant will maintain Symplectic Grant Tracker, a key organisational database, ensuring all data is accurate and meaningful. This database holds the application portal for organisations and is how the Grants & Learning Team manage and support funded partners with their grants.
