We have a number of Advisor positions available delivering projects across the following areas: London, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Somerset, Surrey & Wiltshire.

Summary of role:

As a Water Efficiency Advisor, you will be visiting residents who have requested a free water-saving visit, to help them better understand their water use in their home and how this can be reduced through simple behaviour change measures. You will also offer and install a range of water saving measures, which are easy to fit but can also have very significant water savings over time.

What’s needed:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak and relate to a wide customer base, tailoring messages to the audience.
• Full Clean UK driving licence, you will be provided with a work vehicle which must be driven in accordance with company policy.
• This role is subject to the appropriate level of Criminal Records Check via the DBS based on the eligibility criteria and contract requirements.

Our mission is to help children and young people have a fair chance to be who they want to be. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health.

Our Brighton & Hove Services provide supported accommodation for 50 young people at risk of homelessness across two sites. Lansworth House is one of our 24-hour supported housing projects offering high and medium levels of housing-related support for young people aged of 16- 25, with 20 bedspaces and shared communal facilities. We provide support to our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals. 

In delivering the role, you will work on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day. You will work with the Managers and the wider housing team to provide effective day to day management of our accommodation project. This includes delivering one to one sessions and group work sessions to assist residents to develop personally and socially in order that they grow in confidence and move towards independence. You will help to contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations. You will also support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk.

Based on site, this role is on a seven-day rolling rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. There is a small amount of lone working, but you will get to know the team and project, along with extensive training prior to starting on a rota.

You will be working with some of the hardest to reach young people who are most at risk of exclusion, in small groups of 8-10. We use rugby as a hook and mentorship as an anchor, using our four cornerstones (developing life skills, raising aspirations, improving physical wellbeing, focus on mental wellbeing) to develop young people throughout their time with us. We enable young people to be in a better position to enter sustained education, employment or training (EET) when they leave school. 

The delivery team always work in pairs, running our interventions across a variety of settings (including mainstream schools, Pupil Referral Units, Alternative Provisions, SEN schools, Youth Offenders Institutes, community centres and rugby clubs) working in the school timetable and between 3-7pm. While delivering our interventions is a big part of the job, you will also be responsible for supporting the team to ensure the successful collection of data, managing school relationships and delivering on partnership projects.

You do not need to be a rugby fanatic for this role, but you do need to be passionate about social mobility of the excluded. We are looking for someone with a youth work, teaching, mentoring or sports coaching background to help strengthen our team as we work towards our forward strategy.

For Age UK Westminster, the Befriending Service is one of its most important services tackling loneliness and isolation for older people in our community. This role is varied and the successful postholder will be responsible for scheduling external and internal meetings, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, preparing reports, setting agendas and minute taking for meetings and financial administration. You'll also work with the Project Lead to provide project support to achieve implementation of key improvement projects.

• Support the Marketing and Brand Director and Project Lead with managing project workflow (for example task tracking, updating and delegating tasks), sourcing and collating feedback and reporting as required.  
• Manage the Director Marketing and Brand’s diary including booking meetings, setting and minute-taking for key meetings.  
• Organising regular team meetings and events such as away days (booking meeting spaces, agenda, refreshments, liaising with attendees, etc)  
• Process our credit card costs and keep our budget tracker updated.

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Project Lead.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition.

To succeed in this role you'll have an helpful attitude, with the ability to take initiative to lead or support on projects as required, and you'll identify opportunities to improve operations. To enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community, by providing flexible and individually tailored support.

What you'll do:

* Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support actions and capture outcomes in Support and Risk Management files.

* Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards
* Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team

Campbell Rd Young Peoples service provides support and housing for 55 young people in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care of affected by youth homelessness. The Support Worker role will be to manage a caseload of approx 7-10 young people .You will be expected to deliver positive outcomes for all our young people and support them to reach independence, keep safe and maintain their tenancy's. Aside from support workers delivering support there is a strong element of housing management associated wit this role, for example managing rents, raising/monitoring repairs and health and safety.

Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post. Oaklands & St Kilda is a pair of 6 unit supported accommodation mental health rehab services working with young people between the ages of 18-25 who may have experienced a mental health related hospital admission to gain and develop skills for future independent living. The service will support individuals transitioning from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to Adult services.

The service forms part of a pair of services supporting up to 12 individuals at any one time across the sites, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for young people across london on a spot purchase basis.

Specialist Support workers will manage a caseload of customers to help them to identify, plan and achieve their goals, develop relationships meaningful to them and achieve greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.

Consists of working 5 days a week across all days, 8 hours shifts starting at either 8am or 2pm.
