About the role

As the Area Service Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring our contracts with partners and/or commissioners deliver to the highest standards, in a way that creates maximum impact.

Across Yorkshire, you will lead on the delivery of our coaching and behaviour change programmes alongside managing our expanding housing portfolio and housing support services. You will take responsibility for growing the business across Yorkshire with existing partners, other organisations and via Local Authority contracts.

As a member of the national Joint Leadership Team (JLT), you will help to shape and develop our services and products, ensuring that the EF’s growth remains rooted in our organisational values of respect, accountability, and integrity.

Our current contracts cover Leeds, Kirklees, and York, and you will be required to work across varying sites. You will directly manage a team of Service Managers and Team Leaders and be responsible for a growing staff team of over 25 individuals.

About you

You are an experienced operational leader who has a proven track record in managing front-line substance misuse, recovery and/or housing services.

As a values-led manager, you have a passion for developing services and staff to be the best they can be.

Organisation, planning, and communication skills come naturally to you, as you will managing competing priorities across a large geographical area.

You are flexible and can work autonomously, managing your own diary based on service needs.

Working closely with MND Association members, staff, and volunteers to understand and assess EDI needs, identifying areas of strength and opportunities for development. What are we looking for?

You will need to have a comprehensive understanding of EDI principles, from relevant legislation to emerging trends and best practices.

You'll be skilled in developing and implementing strategic initiatives that promote EDI within an organisation. Experience in managing change within an organisation is essential, as is the ability to gather and interpret EDI data effectively.

Collaboration is a key aspect of this role. You'll need to work effectively with diverse teams at all levels across the Association.

Excellent and inclusive verbal and written communication skills are essential. Strong organisational and time-management abilities are a must, coupled with proactive problem-solving skills to tackle challenges creatively.

As the Head of Content and Impact, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our content strategy to maximize our reach and influence. You will ensure we craft compelling and curriculum-aligned content that resonates with children and young people across various platforms. Your responsibilities will include developing innovative content strategies, creating captivating educational material, measuring impact, and fostering stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities (please see JD for further details):

• Develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the Theory of Change and organisational objectives.
• Craft captivating content tailored to diverse audiences, exceeding educational standards and resonating with young learners.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure content consistency and alignment with brand messaging.
• Measure the effectiveness of content initiatives through rigorous impact assessment processes.
• Collaborate closely with a dynamic network of external freelancers and internal subject matter experts, pooling diverse talents to produce innovative and immersive content experiences.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops between key stakeholders to co-create content and align strategies, ensuring children and young people’s needs and voices are at the heart of everything we do.
• Develop and nurture relationships with these stakeholders to gather insights, feedback, and collaboration opportunities.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and differentiation in content strategy and execution.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proven track record of effective teaching and course development, with demonstrated improvements in student outcomes.
• Proficiency in curriculum design methodologies and instructional technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and stay abreast of emerging trends.
• Dedication to student success and engagement, demonstrated through a student-centered teaching philosophy and commitment to accessibility.

• PhD or interest in undertaking a PhD relevant to the role.
