IRC151907 - Treasury & Investments Funding Manager
Location - Heelis, Kemble Drive, Swindon, SN2 2NA
Summary
The National Trust, a leading charity in the UK and Europe's largest conservation body, was established in 1895. It oversees more than 780 miles of coastline, over 250,000 hectares of land, and over 500 historic houses, castles, ancient monuments, gardens, parks, and nature reserves, all preserved "forever for everyone". The Treasury and Investments team at the Trust plays a crucial and wide-ranging role. Managing the Trust's investment portfolio of approximately £1.5 billion, the team aligns the portfolio with the Trust's environmental goals without compromising returns. They secure external debt for the Trust, finance most of the Trust's commercial and renewable energy projects, oversee day-to-day cash management, and are now starting to develop, often very innovative, strategies for accessing finance to support action on climate change and nature restoration initiatives.
Please note the advertised salary is inclusive of a £13,000k reviewable market supplement. Your base salary will be £55,000k and you will receive the market supplement as an allowance on top.

About Reprieve
Reprieve is a UK charity founded in 1999. Reprieve uses strategic interventions to end the use of the death penalty globally, and to end extreme human rights abuses carried out in the name of “counterterrorism” or “national security”.
Reprieve works with the people whose circumstances have made them extremely vulnerable, as it is in their cases that human rights are most swiftly jettisoned and the rule of law is cast aside. Thus, Reprieve promotes and protects the rights of those facing the death penalty and those who are the victims of extreme human rights abuses carried out in the name of “counterterrorism” or “national security”, with a focus on arbitrary detention, torture, and extrajudicial executions.
Reprieve’s main office is in London, UK. Reprieve also supports full-time Fellows, who work as lawyers, investigators and campaigners in the countries in which we work. We work closely with a number of partner organisations in jurisdictions all over the world, who provide access to clients, expertise, knowledge and guidance on specific issues or regions. We work in cooperation with relevant government officials, individual lawyers and human rights defenders, as well as individual, corporate and foundation funders to further the cause of our shared goals.

You’ll have a strong understanding of power and how to work with others to create pressure for change. You need to be a great communicator, able to build trusting relationships with Medact members, partner organisations and community groups. You’ll have an understanding of how digital communications compliment organising and campaigning.
