The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Community Rehabilitation Service. We are the largest centre commissioned by NHS England for Category A neurorehabilitation.
This role is pivotal in leading on developing commissioning and referral relationships with external stakeholders, whilst driving development of services and marketing activities to build and promote new business, increase income, strengthen pipelines, and position The Children's Trust as the provider of choice for children with acquired brain injury and neurodisability.
You’ll work alongside a cross-organisational team to promote our services to external stakeholders, in particular managing our key account plan to influence, maximise referrals and income generating opportunities. Key to this is cultivating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including hospital-based clinicians, commissioners at both integrated care boards and local authorities, with professionals with NHS England at a regional and national levels, embassies, medico-legal professionals including case managers and lawyers.
To underpin this, you’ll create, implement and review services-related multi-channel marketing activity, both on and off-line, including development and oversight of our professionals’ events programme, ensuring all activity aligns to, is integrated and works towards delivering our strategic objectives.
You will have the opportunity to develop and implement your expertise in an environment that is focused on the highest clinical and quality standards. You will work in a 24-acre site which is unusual in its beautiful historic nature, as it is unique in its state-of-the-art facilities including robotic technology and virtual reality.

Role Requirements
You’ll play a key and central role in driving promotion of our services, and this requires a balanced mix of both business development and marketing skills, knowledge and experience in a complex, services environment. You’ll be comfortable with matrix working, recognising the importance of this role in working across the organisation to drive referral generating activity.

About the Role
BCYP is seeking a seasoned Communications and Marketing Officer who will design and implement a strategy to boost BCYP’s brand and support the efforts of clinicians. The candidate will also support the fundraising team through grassroots event management and the adoption of a small portfolio of donors. In this multi-faceted role, you will ensure that women affected by Fowler’s Syndrome, clinicians, researchers, and the wider public are intimately connected to the charity’s work.You will enable smoother pathways for women seeking support and for healthcare professionals looking to access educational resource, while also leading on a range of communications activities and awareness campaigns.
You will take responsibility for coordinating and facilitating online patient groups, supporting in-person events, and helping to manage FSUK’s Patient Council. Tasked with overseeing the development of content such as patient resources, you will also advance wider engagement across projects and research programmes and ensure that communications, whether via newsletters, social channels, or the website, reflect the charity’s voice and values.
While having strategic oversight and leading on the management of FSUK’s digital platforms, including their WordPress website and database consisting of patients and supporters, you will also maintain the charity’s fundraising pages. Through managing FSUK’s social platforms, you will at times also interact with the charity’s online community, responding with empathy as you engage and signpost to appropriate services such as the FSUK helpline, ensuring people feel heard, informed, and supported.
Lastly, raising awareness of FSUK will be one strand of the communications output, however the primary focus is to enable stronger connections and deepen engagement and trust with their valued community.
Emotional intelligence and well defined interpersonal skills are essential, as well as having proficient organisational ability and the aptitude to multi-task when working independently within this small, yet fast-moving team.
A background in patient, community, or stakeholder engagement will also be a valuable asset, alongside exposure to working within the health, charity, or research sector. You will have demonstrable experience producing content, alongside a track record of managing digital and social platforms (particularly Instagram).

The Role:
The Data Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end processing of all supporter and organisational data. This includes the set-up and management of systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across multiple sources, and preparing information to support financial reporting. The role holder will also ensure the effective use of Salesforce CRM and other connected systems, while enabling teams across the organisation to use data to drive insight and impact.
This role will report into the Head of Operations and Strategy, providing guidance on data management, systems improvements and organisational effectiveness.
