The British Ceramics Biennial (BCB) is seeking to appoint a Development Manager to manage the formulation and implementation of BCB’s fundraising strategy to support the delivery of existing programmes as well as new initiatives.

The Development Manager will work with the close-knit BCB team to identify and take forward funding opportunities and analyse data to inform fundraising decision-making in support of BCB’s vision and mission.

The Development Manager will be joining the team of one of the UK’s leading ceramics organisations. This is an excellent opportunity for ambitious, dynamic and attentive individuals, seeking to use their skills and experience to support BCB in delivering its values of being bold, accountable, welcoming, significant, grounded, inclusive, connected and collaborative.

You will work closely with the Head of Business Services to pursue relevant funding streams, foster and build funder relationships, manage reporting requirements and ensure BCB is responsive to new opportunities. You will have a proven track record of successfully identifying and pursuing income-generation opportunities. Working on a local, national and international level, you will have a committed interest in contemporary visual arts and ceramics and experience in contributing to and supporting the implementation of strategic plans.

Last year WheelPower provided opportunities for disabled people to access and participate in sport and activity across the country on 72,165 occasions and we are looking for a new Marketing & Communications Officer to join our team so that we can help more disabled people lead active lives.

You will be responsible for creating compelling content for digital, print and media communications that accurately reflects the WheelPower’s brand and tone of voice.

This is a varied and interesting role working with teams across WheelPower, with a particular focus on putting storytelling at the heart of our communications.

• To develop and implement marketing and communications for external audiences which:
  • • increase participation of disabled people in movement, physical activity and sport
    • provide opportunities for people and organisations to support our work
    • support the fundraising and income generation of the charity
• Deliver the WheelPower marketing and communication plans

Job Description

• Salary: up to £27,800 pro rata

Key responsibilities

1. Manage WheelPower’s social media output

• Plan, create, write and schedule social media posts. Analyse activity and respond to comments and tagged posts
• Create paid and organic digital campaigns for social media which support events and encourage activity and engagement. Plan and design creative elements including use of images, graphics, animations and video
• Spot trends and advise on best social media content and new technologies
• Be aware and engage in social media content from other organisations that relate to disabled people and the organisations who support them. Have a good understanding of current events, sporting opportunities and re-share or comment on where appropriate
• Monitor and analyse social media activity of related organisations to identify opportunities and learnings to improve WheelPower’s online presence
• Create live social media content, be confident in photography and videography to take photos, interview participants and use camera to produce video content

2. Website

• Ensure that wheelchair users have access to the right information, in the right format, promoted in the right locations which enables them to take part in sport and physical activity
• Maintain the website to ensure that all information is up to date an accurate
• Create new webpages to support the promotion of new opportunities and activities and ensure that all pages are optimised for search engine and ensure we learn from Google Analytics and visitor behaviour

3. Marketing and communications

• Produce innovative content for the delivery of creative, successful and cost-effective marketing and media campaigns targeting online and off-line audiences.
• Target specific communications which promote our work to wheelchair users, those who support wheelchair users, disabled groups, disabled children, their families and our supporters.
• Manage and produce regular outbound communications which promote WheelPower and our partners’ events and activities.
• Maintain and develop good relationships with local and national media organisations.
• Produce high quality press releases for written media, arrange interviews with radio, and be the point of contact to organise and arrange TV media to attend our events.
• Create, monitor and evaluate paid for social media advertising and online digital marketing opportunities. Work with a given budget to produce effective and engaging Ads.

4. Content Creation

• Promote our events and activities by telling the stories of how our work has had a positive impact on the physical and mental well-being of disabled people
• Produce a range of well written and informative stories which will underpin our promotional activity. Arrange interviews and be confident with audio/visual equipment to capture positive feedback from our beneficiaries.
• Create original social media graphics, leaflets, posters and a wide variety of marketing materials to promote sport and fundraising activities.
• Work within the brand guidelines to ensure consistency.
• Work with existing and new partners in order to communicate through their networks and channels with a particular focus on disabled people’s organisations and disabled people’s user led organisations.
• Engage and create specific content for Awareness Dates and work with our partners to increase awareness of the work of WheelPower.
• Have a good understanding of video editing software and be able to create, edit and produce professional looking innovative video content.

The Autism Centre of Excellence exists to improve access to high quality support and remove barriers and stigma for autistic people, but to do this we need to grow our funding.

We aim to raise £5 million over the next five years to increase our reach, impact and activities, whilst creating a sustainable and predictable income stream for the charity. To do this we need to systematically build a pipeline of donors and supporters, to build profile and new relationships. In the short term we need someone who can lead the development of a series of applications to trusts, foundations and other sources of funding to support our priority workstreams.

Main duties and Responsibilities

• Primary focus will be on managing and soliciting income from your own portfolio of high value trusts, foundations and statutory funders, securing gifts of between £10,000 - £1,000,000 to successfully achieve the charity’s ambitious fundraising targets.
• Secondary focus will be on the planning and delivery of first-class Special Events and Major Donor fundraising.
• Create a robust prospect pipeline of effectively researched and qualified funders, ensuring a continued flow of prospects through the pipeline, taking a sales approach to lead generation and the assessment of the warmth and value donors.
• Deliver effective research of prospective and existing donors, which enables us to raise significant income through both new and existing relationships; utilising our networks effectively.
• Implement effective cultivation and stewardship journeys that provides a high-quality supporter experience to your portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Deliver first-class relationship management to ensure excellent ongoing relationships with donors in both a written and face-to-face capacity.
• Deliver exceptional writing skills through proposal and bid writing and day-to-day communication with donors and colleagues.
• Fully understand the charity’s projects and activities to both ascertain their suitability as funding propositions and communicate them in a compelling manner to funders.
• Work closely with operational colleagues to develop compelling and thorough cases for support to inform our research and fundraising strategies.

About the role

Our new Research and Collaboration Coordinator will play a central role in delivering our mission to support those working to advance equality through the law. Working closely with our Director and Head of Research, you will help us develop and strengthen our partnerships, respond to the needs and demands of our partners and support the development and delivery of a diverse range of research projects and initiatives. The role will include:

• Managing relationships with our global network of equality activists;
• Coordinating projects and activities with our consultants, fellows and partners;

 We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives as we work to scale our fundraising by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling fundraising operational duties

This is a new role, joining a small but growing Fundraising and Events Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will oversee most fundraising income generation activity.

The Fundraising Officer will build positive relationships to secure significant income and develop new relationships with groups, business and individuals, bringing in regular and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising (database, compliance with codes of practice and fundraising regulations, creating fundraising campaigns and ‘asks’). MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fundraising Overview

1. Develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for The Cinnamon Trust.
2. Maximise the contributions and connections with local business and individuals.
3. Coordinate all appeals including The Big Walk across all income and media streams.
4. Research and utilise new fundraising streams and opportunities such as Payroll Giving, Legacies (with help from The Legacy Officer), in Memory Giving and Online Giving.

Supporter Engagement and Stewardship

1. Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to The Trust’s supporters.
2.  To be responsible for thanking all supporters and managing a supporter engagement journey – ensuring that effective processes are in place and driving levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
3.  Act as the ‘first point of call’ for all fundraising volunteers and maintaining excellent communication with supporters throughout these processes, in conjunction with other teams.
4.  Develop and implement Fundraising groups across the UK

Database Management

1. To ensure efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
2.  Maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed.
3.  Train other staff members to support general fundraising.
4.  Ensure all records, fundraising data and fundraising administration is kept up to date and all information is GDPR-compliant.

 Individual Giving

3. Work with the Press and PR Manager on fundraising communication and to ensure donors are kept up to date on the difference their support makes.

Fundraising Appeals and Campaigns

1. Work alongside teams and PR and Communications Manager to promote The Cinnamon Trust.
2. Establish a corporate fundraising strategy with an accompanying narrative, alongside the PR and Communications Manager.
3. Tailor campaigns and appeals for different audiences and supporters alongside PR and Communications Manager to target corporates; smaller local businesses and individuals

Staff and Volunteers

1. Support with recruiting fundraising volunteers as appropriate.
2.  Work closely with Head of Operations and PR and Communications Manager  to ensure all fundraising is coordinated.

Wider organisational responsibilities

Systems: You'll support the entire organisation through the management and iterative development of Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation's systems, working with the charity's web developer to upgrade its online presence, and supporting the maintenance of accurate records on Salesforce.

1. 3 years charity fundraising experience or evidence of very relatable experience.

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for crafting engaging communications, compelling content, and powerful stories to join our team as Communications and Campaigns Manager. In this pivotal role, you will develop and manage a comprehensive communications strategy for the charity, making a significant impact on children and families affected by the childhood cancer neuroblastoma. 

As an exceptional communicator and storyteller, you will have the ability to write for a variety of audiences, inspiring engagement, raising awareness, and driving income growth. You will be experienced in developing and implementing multi-channel communications plans, encompassing social media, digital, and print. Additionally, you will manage and grow the charity’s press and media engagement. 

This is an exciting time to join the charity as we embark on several major campaigns and advocate for improved experiences and outcomes for children and families affected by childhood cancer. 

Summary of role responsibilities 

• Develop, implement and manage a dynamic communications plan for Solving Kids’ Cancer UK that encompasses the three key pillars of our work, across all communication channels;  

• Lead on the development and implementation of online marketing campaigns to raise wider awareness, demonstrate our impact, grow our income, and position our organisation as a thought leader in paediatric oncology;  

• Develop and grow our charity’s’ media presence and profile;  

• Raise the charity’s profile and reach through the generation of new online and offline audiences, followers and supporters.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Officer to join our small yet dynamic Fundraising team to help grow our income through Charitable Trusts and Foundations and from Statutory bodies. You will play an integral role in delivering on generating income to pursue our strategic priorities, managing high-value Trusts and Statutory relationships, joining a dynamic and ambitious organisation with exciting opportunities for fundraisers to contribute to growth and development.

In this role you will:

· Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of £50k+ prospects, working with fundraising and operational colleagues to develop high-value, strategic and multi-year opportunities.

• Prepare and submit compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations and other grant making bodies to grow income.

· Account manages key Trusts & Statutory funders, leading on the development of impact reports, and ensuring a bespoke and memorable stewardship experience by developing plans for key funders.

We are looking for the below skills and experience:

• Excellent written communication skills, with evidence of creating bespoke written proposals and reports for Trusts and Foundations and Statutory grant making bodies.
• A strong track record of building and managing a pipeline of high-value trusts prospects, with a proactive, new-business focused outlook.

• A results-oriented mindset with a commitment to meeting and exceeding fundraising targets
• An interest and commitment to migrant and race justice and inclusion
