About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to join SPANA’s Income Generation department at a time of growth for the organisation.As Individual Giving Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing and delivering SPANA’s committed giving programme and multi-channel retention campaigns, including stewardship and value exchange activities.Working closely with the Head of Individual Giving, you’ll help shape strategic plans across UK and international markets, driving income growth to expand SPANA’s global impact. You’ll also line manage the Individual Giving Executive and deputise for the Head of Individual Giving when required.
Contract, location and salary
This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This role is UK based, hybrid working with regular attendance (approximately 1-2 days per month, or more if preferred) in our London office. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK currently and for the duration of the contract.
The salary for this position is c.£42,000 per annum, subject to skills and experience. SPANA is pleased to offer a range of benefits including a generous company pension scheme with 10% employer contribution if the employee contributes a minimum 5%, and health care cash plan.

About the role:
We're looking for an Individual Giving Manager who will lead the charity’s individual giving programme during an exciting period of growth. You will deliver key activities aimed at building our profile, donor base and unrestricted income in line with our strategic objectives. This will be achieved through the delivery and strategic development of warm and cold cash acquisition, a face-to-face regular giving programme, effective retention strategies and initiatives that will build our contactable base of supporters. This role will also be responsible for the development of our gifts in wills programme, including creating marketing campaigns and materials to grow gifts in wills income. The role is involved in both strategic planning and implementation.

You will take responsibility for end-to-end campaign management to assist in the delivery of the income and expenditure budget. This will include building the supporter base through acquisition and supporting the retention manager with comprehensive supporter journey.
You will have experience in an individual giving team / marketing role, managing campaigns end to end with a proven track record in delivering end to end marketing activities. With the ability to effectively manage key relationships internally and externally, you will deliver campaigns with agreed timeframes, and a high standard with excellent attention to detail.
In addition, you will have experience managing team members, ensuring their development is a key part of your role. You will also be able to demonstrate strategic thinking, understanding how campaigns affect wider KPI’s for the organisation.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Individual Giving Officer (Acquisition) to join our collaborative Individual Giving team.
As an Individual Giving Officer, you’ll lead the delivery of multi-channel campaigns designed to recruit new supporters and the ongoing supporter stewardship of these new donors. This role is a part-time, permanent position (21hrs) with hybrid / flexible working in their Guildhall office, City of London. The salary for this role is £24,000 to £27,000 which is a full time equivalent of £40,000 to £45,000.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Individual Giving Fundraiser to lead the delivery of our individual giving program, with a focus on multi-channel campaigns, appeals, and supporter journeys.
This role will project manage all areas of individual giving, from concept through to delivery and evaluation, working with colleagues across Fundraising, Communications and Supporter Care to maxmise income, deepen supporter engagement, and grow sustainable regular giving.
You’ll be responsible for delivering existing appeals (e.g. our Christmas Appeal and Grand Draw), developing new fundraising products, and ensuring that donors receive thoughtful and inspiring journeys.

Key Responsibilities
Individual Giving & Campaign Delivery
- Deliver the individual giving operational plan, managing all campaigns and appeals within agreed budgets and income targets.
- Lead the development and delivery of multi-channel fundraising campaigns (direct mail, digital, email, retail-linked activity etc.), ensuring integrated messaging and brand consistency.
- Support the delivery and operations of the charity lottery
- Ensure all activities comply with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, and relevant legislation around data, privacy, consent and Gift Aid.
Donor Acquisition & Retention
- Generate and convert new donor prospects, meeting agreed acquisition and income targets.
- Design and implement a regular giving proposition to acquire and retain committed donors.
- Oversee and optimise donor journeys, ensuring excellent stewardship, cross-sell and conversion opportunities, and seamless progression across the giving pyramid.
Innovation & Insight
- Review and refine the current appeals portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Work with available data to ensure strategic decisions are evidence-based and data-driven, using segmentation and testing to maximise impact.
- Research, explore and pilot new products and approaches to widen our supporter base and increase lifetime value.
- Set and monitor KPIs, reporting on performance and return on investment.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work closely with colleagues across fundraising to maximise income and supporter engagement.
Develop strong relationships across Newlife’s wider teams, embedding fundraising within the organisation and ensuring sensitive and thoughtful involvement of families where appropriate.
